I abused my 5 year old Ball Trainmaster watch by wearing it while completing two weeks of chain sawing and the watch stopped working. I sent it back to High Grade Watch as they were an authorized service center. The watch came back looking good as new as well as working again. The cost of repair was similar to the normal cost of regular watch servicing ( which should be done every 5 years on an expensive self winding watch). I am going to take better care of it in the future but do enjoy using my Ball watch as my daily wearer. It is such a beautiful watch. They were very professional, not pushy at all. I left them my watch and waited for a call. When they called, they told me what was wrong and asked when the last time was I had had my watch serviced . . . NEVER! I agreed to leave them my watch (I live 2 1/2 hours away) For servicing. They called a couple of days later that it was ready. Unfortunately, at the time they called I was very sick with Covid. They agreed to ship me my watch. Visited HGW today to have them look over my Omega Seamaster including a battery change plus do band adjustments to two recently purchased Australian watches. Find them again to be price competitive and more importantly a high integrity company. Feel like I'm being treated as a first rate customer when working with them and don't feel like my watch purchases regardless of cost of purchase aren't all Rolexes to them. These guys are great! After calling several other places I decided to go with HGW after reading their reviews and talking to Harry on the phone. He gave me a price over the phone to switch out the dial on my Datejust and answered several other questions. They were not the cheapest, BUT, they were very competitive. Today I went in and Harry confirmed everything they were going to do and said it would be completed in 30 minutes. The watch was ready in 30 minutes. When I went to pay he showed and told me everything they did. Very happy. I will be bringing it back to be serviced in the next 1-2 years. It is evident they put a premium on customer service. The watch repair workers tried their best for months to find a clasp to my swiss watch, but were able to service the other two. If it were possible to rate them a 0 that would be to high. Avoid this place like the plague. They say they can fix high end watches but I have absolutely no belief that they can. Here is what they can do; commit to have a watch repaired 1 weeks from the time of drop off but when I called to check status they said it would be at least another week. When pressed for a plan and time line they could offer none. When I asked why---they got indignant and told me I was being unreasonable. The result was going back to the store and demanding my watch back. After even more rhetoric and excuses I finally was able to get my watch. Trust me when I say you do not, I repeat, do not want to do business with these people. read more

I visited High Grade Watch a few months ago and was really impressed with the personal service, attention to detail and quality workmanship that went into servicing my Tag Heuer watch. It was nearly a 1/4 the cost of sending it into the Tag service center. I ended up having my Citizen and Bulova watches serviced here as well. All three are still running great to this day. These guys are honest, fast, and do great work. I recently bought a used Cartier watch off ebay and wanted to get it looked over, authenticated, and the bracelet adjusted. I came in on a Saturday around noon and I couldn't believe how busy the shop was. It still only took 30 minutes for them to look over my watch, adjust the bracelet and give me their honest opinion. I truly appreciate that they told me the watch has never been serviced, but that I can wait till the battery goes out in a couple years before doing the service. Was just at High Grade Watch, and I was really impressed. Was searching yesterday for a place that could do a battery replacement and inspection on a quality watch, and came across this company. They had a solid rating with BBB, so I called and the guy gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone and said if I came in later in the day they could do the work while I wait. Well they kept to their word. I showed up and they helped me immediately. The final price was exactly on par with the estimate and the watch looks as good as new. I also mentioned that I was having trouble with another watch that I happened to be wearing, so the owner took a look. Within a minute he knew what was wrong and quoted me a price that was easily a quarter of what it would cost if I sent it to the manufacturer. Everyone there was nice, businesslike and honest.
