He helped me determine which shape and size would be best based on my descriptions and goals for the ring. I feel lucky that I found the Aura diamonds team! What's most important is that my fiancée is absolutely in love with her ring, and she gets comments all the time on how great it looks. We assumed after being boxed up for years and dirty it would be best to have cleaned and serviced. We were told it would be 6 months before we could get them back and we paid 50% deposit The total cost was very high for both clocks around $1200 but it was worth it to us. When we went to pick up the clocks 6 months later they both were still very dusty and dirty. When I said something the owner then began cleaning. I was told that my cuckoo clock music box couldn't be fixed and they stated our other clock was fixed and working fine. When we brought home and hung up both clocks we discovered cuckoo was getting stuck when coming out and the other clock within 3 hours of hanging up the spring broke. Took the large clock back and we were told they would have to have several more months. They said if the cuckoo getting stuck bothered me I could bring back, which I didn't They fixed the spring and then tried to charge us more, which we refused to pay. Now that clock is not keeping time at all. We decided to contact another clock repair company in Dallas, which is wonderful, they told us you can't just fix a clock without letting it run for a while to be sure it's fixed which these people obviously did not do. I took my cuckoo clock to someone else that fixed the music box and cuckoo as well as polishing and cleaning wood and it's working great. The other clock is still not fixed. These people have a nice store but I absolutely would not take your clocks here to be repaired. We learned our lesson the hard and costly way. Take elsewhere if you need repairs.

I broke the ring finger on my left hand a year ago and my wedding rings never fit the same afterwards. After my finger healed, the joint was larger and the part of the finger where a ring would sit was smaller. Michelle helped me and my husband design new rings that are beautiful. We had to have them made with a special latch that you can open the rings, slide them on my finger and snap them shut! They fit my finger perfectly! Michelle was so helpful and patient with us during the design process. We used the stones from my original rings and stones from my grandmother's ring. I tried a small independently owned one that quoted me over twice as much. I tried a big box one that claimed the small one was wrong about what needed to be done to keep my wedding set in good shape and wanted to charge 4 times as much (not an exaggeration-I was floored). The third one I went to, told me that they couldn't quote me until their jeweler was back on Monday, but I could leave the rings with them and they'd call me-no thank you. THEN I found Gillespie Fine Jewelers and I knew this is where everyone I love needs to come. I met the owner Kim, and his calm familiar demeanor immediately set me at ease. He was honest and fair in quoting me for my set. He actually agreed with the diagnosis from the first store which made me feel he knew his stuff. He didn't tack on extra unnecessary prong repairs just to bump up the price. From our conversation, he told me he has been a bench jeweler since he was 25. Since he does his own work, he doesn't have to charge us extra to pay for the jeweler doing the work. He's not just an owner that doesn't touch the pieces, he does everything and is extremely skilled at his craft. His quotes are transparent and he explains why the cost is what he is charging. This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a jewelry store. I walked away finding a gentleman and a businessman I knew I TRUSTED. He did impeccable work on my set and he didn't break the bank in the process. I will be coming back! If you want an honest jeweler that knows his craft and is skilled enough to do the work on his own, come to Gillespie Fine Jewelers-he won't disappoint!

I recently called to see if he could do a job with a quick turnaround. He guaranteed it. I spoke to this man 3x and to another woman 2x. Each time I said, "You're going to get this to me by Saturday right?" Each and every time, they said yes. I called around 5:00 (My time (EST)) to see what the status was. The woman I spoke with asked for my credit card and told me I needed to fill out some forms. After signing a 5 page document (I still don't know what it said. I was in a hurry) and giving her my credit card number, she assured me that she would email me my invoice and the tracking number. She never sent either. So, here comes Saturday. I need this shipment to keep my business on track. I don't know if the order has been completed. I don't know if it was shipped. If it was, I have no idea of the carrier and I don't know what time (or even if) I should be at my shop to pick it up. Guess what? I didn't get the shipment. I called around 2:00 on Monday after my email (sent Saturday) went with no response. The guy was hardly apologetic. When I questioned the invoice which was grossly over-priced, he told me the price was negotiable and that I would receive a refund. Did I mention that there were a couple of pieces that weren't included in the original shipment? Those were supposed to be at my shop by Tuesday. It's Wednesday night and I haven't heard a word about them nor have I received any sort of refund. Just for the record, this company is charging $70/oz for silver (market is $16/oz) Although I understand making a living and marking up fit labor, on top of that I was charged a "casting fee" of $140. I will never use this company again. If you do, make sure you understand that they are very poor communicators and exactly how much you will be charged. I've learned my lesson.

Not only had he repaired it and brought it back into round he also polished it. I was stunned. I insisted on paying and again he refused. They have just made a customer for life!
