Very rude! Telling me I was wasting her time. I tried to contact by phone, no response. Sent a message through yelp asking for a phone call and an afternoon appointment and was asked if noon worked. Still no call back. I said no it needed to be afternoon. While I waited for messages we found another salon. This owner was rude and can not return a phone call. She responded after my post saying she's busy and how she tried to fit us in on a Monday which she doesn't normally work. She never said she was closed on Monday. I did not ask her to respond after her hours. Yes, after waiting several hours and being told "that's why I ask what time" when I specifically stated I was looking for an afternoon appointment. Her whole demeanor was rude. So yes, we went ahead and found a place to go Incase we didn't hear back, or the appointment didn't work since we are on a schedule. PRICEY! DeAnn did my nails.. Had an appointment at 10:30 am this morning, and left at 1:30 pm. Asked for coffin nails, which I've been getting for months now and left with HELLA pointy nails. I have a hard time with this review because I loved the environment and the ladies working but I almost hate my nails. I love the color I chose but the layers kind of uneven near the edges. I love the length of my right hand but the only finger that is the shape and length I wanted is my thumb. My left hand nails are significantly longer then my right hand, SIGNIFICANTLY. Granted I didn't see this until I got home. I stopped asking her to change my nails after awhile because I figured past the acrylic there's not much you can do for the shape. I wish I would've been given a price quote before starting and a longer consultation but that's my bad for not asking. My nails were 65$, not including the 5$ off for checking in. Still, the salon is super pricey. I'm from the Bay Area and for the shape and gel color, it's only 45$ most places. The owner, Kathy, was super friendly and offered to order me a sandwich along with some for her employees but I'm still on the fence of if I would go back. The salon is located inside of the gym, which is owned by her husband. The area is kinda sketchy but such a well kept salon. Pictures will be up shortly. Showing the length difference and color. Oh and if you already have nails on when you go in, when you make an appointment you need to let them know ahead of time so they can make sure they have time to do it. They ARE the ONLY place I have ever gone too that has ever taken the nails of the proper and "legal" way, with the least damage to the natural nail. It's no doubt that Dee is super talented and I fully respect that she takes her time as well as puts care into her work. This place is an amazing gem tucked behind a gym in a nondescript strip mall. As soon as I walked in, Kathy (owner) and Wendy greeted me and were extremely friendly. They are clean, which I would know as I am a Cosmetologist in the industry. Their prices are extremely reasonable, however don't expect to come in for a $20 cheap job. I really wanted to like this salon because the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the quality of my nails was not up to par. To start, the salon is tucked away inside a gym so don't think you are lost when you don't notice it when pulling in. There is plenty of parking and once you enter the salon it is small but cute and clean. I was greeted right away by my nail technician, Sophia (or Sophie), as well as the owner, Kathy. They were both very nice and even offered me a water or coffee. Once seated, we discussed what I wanted which was a set of acrylics. I am a nail biter and having fake nails is the only thing that prevents me from biting. While my natural nails were quite short, I was assured that wouldn't be an issue. I really liked that she told me what she was doing during each step, however I did notice that her process was slightly different from other salons I've been to in the past. Unfortunately, the customer service was the only good thing about this salon. All the reviews I read were about how good Kathy is and I now wish that I had tried her instead. I don't think Sophia is necessarily a bad technician, but I would suggest more training and experience. After an hour and a half (quite long) I let with my new acrylic set. When I left I was happy with how they looked. However, after just a day or two all of my nails were lifting on the edges and and even cracked. I also noticed that some nails were thicker or uneven. After a week I did call and let them know about my concerns and they said to come back and they would fix it free of charge. I was very happy that they were genuinely concerned about my happiness and got me in right away. When I got there they both looked over my nails and said they were lifting because my nails were so short to begin with that the acrylic didn't have much to adhere to. They said it would be a simple fill to fix. Once again it took about an hour and a half, but I could tell she was paying very close attention to do a better job this time around. She also kept asking me to take a look and approve. Of course they looked better after a file down and fill so I was again satisfied. BUT, once again, after only a day two nails chipped on the corners and half of my nails were lifting. I couldn't believe it. I would have called again but unfortunately I don't have the patience to try them a third time in a two week span. I decided to go to another salon where they fixed the lifting and chips and they still look like new days later. Like I said, I really wanted to like this salon. The stars I gave are solely because how how nice and accommodating they were. If you do make an appointment here I would recommend Kathy because she is the only one that the reviews are based on. I do not like writing negative reviews, but I believe all feedback should be considered in order to improve. read more

I absolutely loved it here! Tried it for the first time last weekend. Kathy performed my service, but both Kathy & Kim were there & they were both super nice, friendly & welcoming. As a previous reviewer mentioned, it is a shared space with a personal training gym, but the gym doesn't interfere with the nail shop & although unusual, it's not awkward or intimidating. The job Kathy did on my nails was OUTSTANDING. I had a gel manicure & basic pedicure. Coverage of the polish was really good & there was no polish left on my skin, all edges were thoroughly cleaned up. I'm going to mention something else that is probably not pc & really doesnt affect me either way, but I know it affects others, so I'm going to bring it up. Many nail shops have nail techs where English is their second language and/or they speak broken English. That is not the case for this shop. English is their first (and only, I assume) language. To me, the quality of the nails & the service are the most important part & both were absolutely wonderful! read more

I called in as a first time person and was able to be seen. I had Dee. She was a Deelight! She was so nice, honest, and was great to talk with. Kim took extra care to be gentle when doing my daughter's pedicure. Lilly told me after, "I like Kim!" Kathy, the salon owner, ran over to the florist next door and brought Lilly and I a single rose each... So sweet! Henry did my pedicure and he was thorough and gave a great calf massage. Don't judge a book by it's cover ladies, this Salon is simply amazing and the best around! Kathy is fantastic and really knows her stuff, with top of the line nail care products to compliment her knowledgable skill set when performing nail service for her clients. I am usually really picky when it comes to my nails and in my line of work (pet sitter) they have to hold up to my responsibilities while still being professional and pretty! Oh, did I mention how CLEAN the salon is!. Oh, and by the way, they never re-use ANYTHING such as nail files or scrub brushes! They will actually ask if you would like to keep the files, etc. due to sanitary reasons, they will throw them out anyway. This is so refreshing to see since everywhere else I have EVER gone to seems to wash or re-use their equipment, eww right?! On top of the fact they DO NOT thin out their nail colors to make them last longer, which too many nail salons do these days (I usually bring my own bc of this). I will say, the service was a little longer than I expected, but well worth the wait. Throughout the entire time the ladies were pleasant, inviting, laid back, and fun to talk with...a must in my world!
