Sadly, the Branzino was fishy, I should know better than to order fish in Arizona however the remainder of the dish was tasty. Went for my wife's birthday. Ambiance was good, service was 7 out of 10. When it came to the food, I was shocked! I love seasoning like the next person, however the risotto was way over salted and the bass was under seasoned. I write this review saddened. Why? Because I desperately want a seafood restaurant on this side of town that offers both familiar and adventurous flavors. I want a place that balances freshness with bold, savory dishes. Most of all, I want to enjoy that experience without having to drive across the Valley. Unfortunately, I am not sure High Tide delivers on that promise. I have dined here multiple times and have even ordered takeout, hoping each visit would be the one that won me over. Instead, I continue to leave with mixed feelings. The clam chowder is very good, though at times it can be overly peppered. Other dishes, such as the Tide Roast, have lacked the flavor I was hoping for despite sounding excellent on the menu. To High Tide's credit, freshness has never been a concern. The seafood has always tasted fresh and properly prepared. The issue is that none of my visits have been particularly memorable. They have all been adequate. Not bad. Not great. Simply adequate. I truly wish I felt differently because I want this restaurant to become a regular stop for my family. I came here for lunch with some friends and we loved it! I had a salad with salmon on top and it was great! My husband also raved about his ahi tuna sandwich. The atmosphere was quiet and a little more upscale. They did have a gigantic bar there as well. I don't drink, but I would imagine it would be fun to sit there and socialize over a cocktail as well. Follow up to my previous 5 star review. Maybe I'm just being picky, and if so, then so be it. When asked what we'd like to drink, my wife said she liked Pinot Grigio but was getting kinda tired of it. So, she asked what the waitress would recommend and she suggested a port wine, which is usually a dessert wine, very sweet, and $22 for a four oz glass. Really? Of all the choices that what she suggests? My wife said ok, not being sure what port was, and really didn't care for it. The tip was reduced for that little stunt, and the meal was fine, although they were out of halibut. They offered a cod sandwich in lieu of what I wanted, the halibut sandwich, but at the same price. Wife and I really enjoyed High Tide (Goodyear). Went on Monday and loved how easy it was to get in and had a nice quiet dinner together. The service was amazing and staff are very friendly. I had the Jumbalaya and the wife had the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Both were very good and done perfectly. They also have some great deals during happy hour, check that out. Nice to see Goodyear getting more nice, high end restaurants in the area. Tried this new restaurant out to close out the year in 2025 on NYE and boy did it deliver the goods! This is situated in the up and coming civic center of Goodyear and is a nice upscale restaurant that has indoor and outdoor seating as well as a full bar. They specialize in seafood fare and have non seafood options as well as a kids menu. I was drawn to this place by its variety of seafood and even has delicious sushi fare as well. Our server was great! Very kind and took care of us. Although there was a little hiccup with my main course coming out very late I was not disappointed as it was very very delicious. We ordered some of their sourdough bread and poke as appetizers. We also had some cocktails while kids enjoyed some Shirley Temples. You know we had to try the sushi and I was very impressed with the freshness and quality of the fish. I had the tuna and yellowtail nigiri along with sharing a couple of rolls with the table. We also ordered the clam chowder and a chef's special of scallop in a half shell that was a shooter style delight and less than $4 each! What a steal The kids had burgers of course they are kids and will not venture too far into the seafood realm on most occasions. My main entree was the braised beef which just melted in your mouth served on a bed of mashed potatoes and paired with caramelized carrots. I am so glad we found this spot and will definitely be coming back again soon. read more

Happy to see new restaurant concepts coming to Goodyear - especially one specializing in seafood! My partner and I made a reservation at High Tide to celebrate a birthday dinner. Overall it was a positive experience and we would return. Since we had a reservation we were seated promptly at a table by the windows. The restaurant is nicely decorated and carries an upscale vibe without feeling stuffy. We also appreciated how the tables weren't jammed close together like in other restaurants. You could have a conversation without the table next to you listening as well. For food we started with the Crab Garlic Cheesy Bread and the Calamari. Both were great but the Crab Garlic Cheesy Bread was the star - so delicious! I usually don't like calamari sticks, but High Tide does a good job with them. However the Spicy Chile sauce was not good, way too sweet. Stick with the Old Bay Lemon Aioli. For mains my partner got the Chilean Sea Bass and I got the Seared Ahi Tuna. The sea bass was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. So buttery and so worth the price. The risotto and grilled vegetables were great as well. The Seared Ahi Tuna was good, but not as good as the Chilean Sea Bass. The Tuna itself was cooked well and had great flavor. The rice was pretty bland. Just a scoop of room temperature white rice. The tempura green beans were fun. I'm not sure if the plates are prepped ahead of time, or perhaps it was caused by a heat lamp - but the sauces drizzled onto my plate were starting to dry out and become caked onto the plate. Since we were celebrating a birthday they bought out a complimentary dessert and candle which was nice. My only negative feedback would be that the service was a little slow. Our server was friendly but he was not the most attentive. We found ourselves waiting for things a lot. The menu is on the pricier side. The food is excellent but they have priced us out from making this a regular stop for us. This will likely just be a 'special occasion' restaurant. The food was overpriced for the quality and taste. The Rockefeller oysters were the main reason I wanted to try this place, and honestly they were just okay -- definitely not worth $25 for 6. I've had much better elsewhere. We also ordered the $30 gumbo, which tasted overly seasoned, but not in a good way, and the lobster mac and cheese was extremely bland, reminding me of boxed mac and cheese. The service started off fine and our server was nice, but after we ordered, I noticed she shared the happy hour menu with the table next to us and never mentioned it to us. We also had to wave her down multiple times just to get drink refills. Overall, the experience and food did not feel worth the $120 we spent. Very disappointing. read more

I've visited this place a couple of times, and at this point, I'm not sure it's worth another chance. The first time, I had the cioppino, and the second time, the lobster bisque. The food is decent, but nothing memorable. The service, however, is the real issue. During my last visit, we sat at the bar and experienced some of the most inattentive and unfriendly service I've had. There was zero interaction no greeting, maybe one checkin, no water refills, and no effort to ask if we wanted another drink. For a bar setting, that's unacceptable. It also took 15-20 minutes just to get our check, even though the bartender was nearby most of the time. Our bill was about $75, and when we paid with $100, we were asked if we needed change which honestly felt pretty presumptuous given the level of service. I can overlook an off day once, but after two visits with similar issues, it feels more like a pattern than a one off. Hopefully others have a better experience, but mine hasn't given me a reason to come back. read more

The restaurant itself is gorgeous and something special! The service was friendly but a little slow (about 1.5 hours for dinner). To be fair, this was their first week in business and most everything went well. Their menu is extensive with lots to choose from including Steak, Sushi, Seafood, Bowls and a variety of Fish. Their wine list is pretty stellar! Most everything was. They even have a large Whiskey bar menu. Truly something for everyone! So why the score? My wife and I just didn't care for what we had. We started with a crab cake with a fried Avocado. The crab cake was just okay and I didn't care for the fried Avocado at all. We also had fried Okra which was a nice offering and pretty good for a fried craving. Initially, I had planned to order the Tide Roast which is a seafood stew that looked really good in the pictures. The waiter suggested that I try a sample first, which I did. The soup base was not for me at all. I'm glad I was offered the opportunity to try it first! For our entree, I had the Salmon with fingerling Potatoes and Brussell sprouts. It was a beautiful piece of fish that was ruined by an extremely sweet glaze poured over the fish, vegetables and potatoes. It was just too sweet to eat. If you try it, I recommend the sauce on the side! My wife had the Sea Bass which was pretty good but not great. Last, let me say that the kitchen cooked everything perfectly. The problem for me were the recipes used. The food is definitely on the pricey side, so when the meal is anything less, it is a real disappointment! The place is gorgeous and the staff great. Took an appetizer order from our friends and then just left and we were all ready to also place our order. When I got his attention to ask if we could order he seemed bothered. Took about 20-25 minutes for an iced tea and a glass of wine. We ordered bread. Didn't come, so we asked the bus boy to grab our waiter who was chatting with guests at the bar. I'm assuming the guy at the bar worked there since lots of people were chatting him up. I'm thinking he forgot to add it because when he was reminded he went to the computer. When we ordered, said "I need to order a side of fries because they looked delish on the website" The waiter said "they are, so a side of fries" so he acknowledged I ordered them. NEVER CAME. Have to be honest, I didn't remember until I got home. Hope I didn't pay for those. Okay Let's Talk Food ... I ordered the Enchiladas Del Mar and it was delicious. Hubby had the Spicy Seafood Pasta. Our 39th anniversary and we were torn. So many bad reviews and several 5* reviews. We had a 5 star experience. The bad reviews said the hostess was awful. No. Ours was charming and adorable. We arrived early for our reservation and asked to sit at the bar for a cocktail before being seated. The bartender (I wish I could have gotten her name) was stellar. So many reviews said the bartenders were aloof and inattentive. Not ours. Or the other 4 that were working the bar tonite. We went back to the hostess station and were promptly seated. Water was brought to the table our fantastic waitress Lena showed up. She saw it was our anniversary and poured on the charm. She was funny, knowledgeable and charming. We ordered calamari. It was strips, instead of rings and tentacles. So tender and crunchy. I had gumbo, Lena said it was one of her favorites. It's mine now, too. Warm and cozy, loads of shrimp and crawfish. I brought most home. Hubs had Chilean sea bass on pistachio risotto with asparagus. He raved. Chilean sea bass is one of his favorites and he said it was the best he's had. The manager, Courtney, came over to ask how everything was. We told her how pleased we were with everything and for those of you saying there are no managers around, there are managers around and Courtney is lovely. OK so high tide redeemed themselves because we went back and this time they had the halibut and it was delicious. 3 previous times they were sold out so we were a little disappointed. Last night we went to celebrate our daughter's birthday and we had an amazing server, named Ashton. Ashton made our night. He was so friendly, kind, funny and very very very good at his job~ he excelled in every possible way. I hope Ashton is rewarded because he is a huge asset to that company. Had such a great experience there! ambiance is comfortable chic, staff is incredible! Probably the nicest server ever I forget her name but she was from Iowa I think. We never wanted for anything! I started with the pomegranate sparkle (Tito's, pomegranate juice, Lemon, honey and sparking wine) so refreshing! Lobster Mac and cheese was good but it got cold really fast. Calamari was definitely in my top 3 ever! I am so used to the over fried rings but theirs were almost like thick calamari fries relatively tender and whatever seasoning they use is wonderful we ended up getting another order. Shrimp cocktail was large and tasty, sea salt fries I don't know what I was expecting but it's basically just fries, yummy yes but nothing to write home about., crab cakes were amazing too! Some in our group of 7 had eaten at the chain and thought the new one in Goodyear would be ideal. I should have known we might be in trouble when I called to see if they had a corkage fee and they didn't know what it was. After checking they said we couldn't bring our wine because it was against their liquor license. We had made reservations for outside and when we got there they wanted to know if we wanted inside or out. They then had us wait while they prepared the table. Some in the group ordered martinis and they weren't mixed as ordered. The food wasn't bad however my spicy tuna sushi rolls must have been pre made because they were mushy and the wasabi was dried out. I had to ask for soy sauce. As the meals were being served we asked for a bottle of wine and it didn't come until the end of the meal so we sent it back. When we got the bill it hadn't been removed from the bill. By now one of our group went to see the manager who was non responsive. When we got the new bill they had removed the wrong wine which was the cheaper one. Again the manager was approached and non responsive. The manager must not be doing proper training and needs some lessons for himself on how to properly deal with customers. By the way our friends have had good experiences at their other locations and the restaurant is beautifully designed. read more

If that's your thing, great. If you're expecting that fresh and citrusy ceviche flavor, skip it. - Hight Tide Sour - all whiskey, no sour. Basically whiskey neat with a garnish. - Cioppino - as a former San Francisco resident, this one hurt. More like watered down tomato bisque with a few seafood add-ins (and not the freshest either). - Tide roast - no, just nope! Skip this! What worked (sort of): - Wicked Strawberry cocktail - fresh and delicious. - Oysters - good but toppings were basic (just cocktail sauce and horseradish). - Kids' mac & cheese - kids cleaned their plates. I loved the pear martini, which was $10 instead of $14 for crabby hour. Which is every day until 6 pm. The Bloody Mary was also good. My mom and I both LOVED the fish tacos and we both thought the salmon blt was good, but we probably wouldn't order it again because we'd either try something different or get the fish tacos. I'm not normally a rice and beans fans, but all the mix-ins with these beans really gave it a good flavor. The place is very nice inside and we had an excellent server. Wow! We are happy to have High Tide in Goodyear and definitely is one of our new favorites locally. We went tonight with friends and all four of us were totally satisfied with everything! Loved the ambiance, decor feels like you should have an ocean view, stunning! The service was excellent, from the hostess, to the wait staff and even the manager stopping by to check in on us, all of them were welcoming and attentive. Our food was truly delicious, we started with the crab cheese bread, yummy. Our dishes were the seafood enchiladas, sea bass, halibut and chips, the portions were generous, all of us were sharing bites and loving all the selections. The wife and I decided to stop in here after seeing a movie NextDoor at the Harkins on a Saturday afternoon. This is in the new city of Goodyear city center. Very nice little restaurant area. Limited parking went busy, but there is a parking ramp nearby. Nice atmosphere and interior when you walk in. Huge bar area. TV is mostly only visible from the bar area directly. When we sat down, they gave us like four menus. I have to say that the menu situation is overbearing and kind of ridiculous. If we're there at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, then give us the menu that applies to 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Or give us a lunch menu and a happy hour menu that's based on the lunch menu not the dinner menu. Because the happy hour menu makes no sense based on the lunch menu. You basically have to go back-and-forth between the four menus to figure out everything and what makes sense. They need a lot of work on reducing this and making it logical. You shouldn't have to think this much to figure out what menu you wanna order from. And then to top it off, there was two items listed on the happy hour menu that are not to be found on any menu and have no idea what's included in those items. We had to ask for that and he brought out yet another menu that was written in a six point font that you could barely read. WTF are you doing? All right, so now let's get to the service and the food and what really matters, although they need to fix that whole menu situation it is just brutally poorly done. Service was really good, although, even with the five menus nowhere is there a beer list. How is that possible when you have an entire drinking wine menu, which I did not count in the food menus. Why are the beers not listed? They have numerous beer options BTW. After all the consternation with the menus, we decided to go with the lunch menu. We both got a different bowl of soup, one of us went for the New England clam chowder, and the other for the lobster bisque, and then we did the crabcakes and the lobster Mac and cheese. Both of the soups were very good. Full of clams and lobster respectively. Good tasting. Clearly made in house. Although both of our preference lean towards the New England clam chowder is our favorite. We did do the bowl and they were decently sized bowls of soup. The crabcake was very good and came with a lemon aïoli and a chard corn relish. Had excellent flavor. It also included a fried avocado which I personally felt needed some type of sauce. Probably like an eel sauce or something along that line would be my first thought, but it definitely needs a sauce. By itself it's just a fried avocado and it was just OK. The lobster mac & cheese was a huge surprise. First, the serving is huge. I truly expected about half the size bowl that we got. The flavor was fantastic and there was a lot of lobster chunks. Maybe the best lobster mac & cheese I've ever had and the item I would recommend the most by far out of what we tried. We do intend to go back and try some other things. I do hope that they work out their menu situation because it just shouldn't be this confusing or this much work to figure out what to order from. Make a decision based on the time. It's really quite simple. And make a beer list. Don't make a server run through 20 beers for me. Overall good experience and it is definitely more of a seafood oriented place that it is a sushi place. Very limited sushi menu. Which we were fine with because we expected a seafood bar. I've been here multiple times for happy hour. The 2 bar tenders this visit must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Snotty, shaking heads as if annoyed when all I did was walk up to the bar to order a drink as ai waited for my party. Hostess came to set up table next to me and as a courtesy I let her know there was a sticky spot on the table (she was setting menus down for a reservation). I was POLITE....and as she walked away she made eye rolls at another young staff member who reacted in kind. The bar is beautiful, and I like how the restaurant opened in the early summer. It gave the employees time to rehearse and proactive their service. Food is just OK, we have been there four times. The seafood enchiladas are wonderful. The lobster bisque and clam chowder are terrible: too much flour. The oysters are mostly breading, and only three. It is great to have a seafood restaurant in Goodyear, and a nicely esthetic restaurant, but the food needs to improve before we return. read more

Two times I've come on Friday's and waitstaff has not been great. Hard to understand if it's the waiters themselves or the structure of the restaurant. Long wait for refill, waitstaff seems to have tables spread across vs sections causing issues. During my meal this past Friday, I heard the table behind us speaking to our waitress about how long the wait times were the previous Friday and how they were seated at 6 PM and didn't receive their food until 8 PM. I'm sorry but no restaurant especially this one is worth a 2hr wait. Another issue I encountered during my meal was that I ordered sushi rolls. The sushi never arrived and at the end of my meal when I let our waitress know, she gave a confused response and asked if I was sure until she ultimately removed the sushi from my bill. Bottom line; tried 2x will not be making a 3rd trip to this place. Much better place in the West Valley. read more
