    Damaged and wet
    Danna O.

Ordered several pieces of lumber and paid to have it delivered. Whoever delivered it left the 11ft planks going completely across My driveway and in a puddle...the wrap job was poorly done and half of the wood was wet by the time i arrived home from work. Also they wrapped it in white and then left it across my driveway when it was snowing. Upon opening several boards appeared to be damaged so i am unsure as to whether they came like that or because there was snow on the ground it was run over by a fedex delivery later in the day... super upset about spending close to 300$ on wood that's now wet, damaged and some that had been promised to be cut were not...very disappointed in how this turned out.

A very nice bathroom vanity at Hills Flat in Grass Valley...a definite step up in quality over the ones at the big box stores.

Helpful staff that has gone above and beyond every time I need assistance. Great one stop shop for the DIY home improvement shopper.

If you need 20' re-bar cut in half, DON'T go to B & C, because they won't do it. Hills Flat will.

I have basic handyman skills and the Internet. After some research, I discovered that the design of our washer made it difficult to reach what was almost certainly the problem: a plugged filter. I would have to remove the front face. The problem now was that we have a stackable washer and dryer located in a tight space. In order to remove the front face of the washer, I would have to take down the dryer. This would require two people with some brawn. After determining the model and asking some preliminary questions regarding what was wrong with the washing machine, Forrest Appliance Repair quickly scheduled an appointment. When Brandon the tech showed up, he discovered what I already knew: the repair is a two person job. The Forrest Appliance Repair phone representative never asked if the machines were stacked and I forgot to mention that fact on the initial call. After a call to his office, Brandon informed me that we would need to reschedule--and that he would still have to charge me for the visit and that I would be charged again for the return visit. That did not seem quite right, but I couldn't deny that I should have informed the office that the washer and dryer were stacked. On the other hand, Forrest should have included that question in the preliminary assessment. I was preparing to argue that I should only pay half the original charge when a thought dawned on me: Why couldn't I be the second man on the job? Brandon was game and, with my help, the dryer was soon off to the side and the repair completed. I would use Forrest again and I would probably request Brandon who was both competent and professional. But I would also be sure to let the company know that our machines are stacked and I recommend that you do so as well if you have the same set up.

They didn't have one part --a 1" spring loaded slip flow check valve. They didn't know what a 'crack pressure' on a spring flow valve was. Only had a hing valve. That only works for horizontal positions & one vertical position when flow is against gravity. Not my situation. I felt I was going to get it BC of --some reason. So I bought. It was larger than the install dimensions of the job piping so I would need bushings. Great now I will look like a rookie plumber. A 'Rube Goldberg' install. So pro that ... After driving back to the job I decided there was no Zombie Armageddon. I went to HD got the CORRECT PARTS in stock. Three parts for $20.00 w/ a snack @ HD as opposed to 5 parts @ Ferguson for $50.00 w/out a snack. What? I'm a licensed CA plumber. Never going back there again & I had accounts w/ them for YEARS in Salinas Valley. Zero stars if that were possible.
