Salmon and everything bagel with mimosa

AZ was welcoming and professional. Our breakfast was the most important part of our day. It started with a phenomenal view. Looking from left to right just breath taking. Then you enter into the dinning room... beautiful. Glass from floor to ceiling with a 180 degree view of the vineyard. We enjoyed smoked salmon, corn beef hash (SO YUM) and breakfast sandwich (best with the butter they offer). This Hill Top resultant is available to those staying at Carneros. This was a great start to our day or anyone's day

Great brunch and service. A tad pricey but is to be expected at a resort facility. Meals were presented beautifully and food tasted as it should be.

Great service, great views, great food. We ordered chips and guac, fish tacos, a chicken wrap, and brussel sprouts. The food was delicious and you get a beautiful pool side view overlooking Napa. I have to recommend the brussel sprouts, they were my favorite dish!!

Unfortunately you can only eat here if you're staying at the Carneros Inn but it's a good alternative to eating at Boon Fly. Actually, I prefer Hilltop as it's much less crowded, a fantastic view, and the food is almost as good. Over two breakfasts, we enjoyed a fair amount of the menu: Sunrise bowl: Scrambled eggs, black beans, fresh avocado, cheese, scallions, and brown rice in a bowl. Healthy and good. Two eggs (any style) with toast and hashbrowns: You can get creative, if you want, since there are lots of choices for fillings. Once the hashbrowns came much later without explanation. Bagel, cream cheese, and lox: A huge portion of lox. Not a bad choice after a night with one too many glasses of wine. Eggs benedict over hashbrowns (instead of an english muffin): Great idea, ok execution. In my opinion, the hollandaise sauce needed a little more kick (maybe more lemon and cayenne). When we were there, the espresso machine was broken but the regular coffee was pretty good. In general, the servers are nice but service is uneven. But the view - wow. If you can, eat outside.

Chai Latte & cinnamon roll to start

Stepped up to the "Hilltop" dining room for breakfast before heading out for a bike ride. It over looks the pool and hillsides, but it was a bit chilly in the morning, so we opted to sit inside. We were greeted & seated quickly. Ordered a chai latte. And then waters and cinnamon rolls were brought, on the house. Cinnamon roll had been recently drizzled with the glaze. Between my chai latte & roll, I was suffering sugar overload. Ordered the eggs Benedict for breakfast. Hit the spot and I was ready to bike the vineyards. Service was excellent and the dining room provides a serene atmosphere, to sip your coffee while reading the morning paper or chit chatting.

Yes, you must be staying at the Carneros Inn to eat here. Everything about this restaurant was perfect. The view - panoramic view of the country side from inside or outside next to the pool is unbeatable. It creates a very relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere right from the start. The food - I have to admit I got the french toast 3 days in a row, it was that good. It has berries, whip cream, and real maple syrup. I also got the bacon, ham, and potatoes which were all great. They give you - choice of 2 drinks and 1 or 2 sides, depending on your entree choice. The orange juice and coffee were both great. Lastly, the service was always friendly and quick. Couldn't ask for more...

You must stay at the resort to eat here. Food and drinks are pretty good but not exceptional. Standard high end hotel California cuisine. Service however is exceptional and the view is worth every penny.

Pappardelle - My dish, and currently my go-to pasta. It was just okay. At least it was a decent one serving light eater quantities.... Bar, lounge, table, counter table, private room seating, etc. I actually like the outdoor space and would come here for drinks and the live music. And we liked the high quality board games in the resort lobby; my daughter would probably love to hang out here and play some games. Prost tasting room; wine tasting before or after dinner? Plenty of parking, self parking or valet. I checked out both the resort lobby and restaurant indoor/outdoor spaces; see pictures. Live music today. Shared restrooms with the resort. Service: The hostess and servers were warm and welcoming. They remembered it's our anniversary and reserved a beautiful and spacious seating for us. Their famous pork chop was worth all the hype! We also loved the black bean tortilla soup, corn tamales, 3 greens salad, the oven smoked duck, lime tart dessert and a flight of Pinot. That and the fact that they have never been to Napa/Sonoma Area in their 36 years in America, meant that my brother and I had to plan a trip. My brother selected Mustards Grill. It was along the way to our reservation to Beringer and continently along St. Helena Highway. Despite hearing about Mustards being a staple within the Yountville area, it was so my first time trying it too. We had a reservation for 4 and after getting taken care of by the courteous host and being welcomed by our waitress, we were left with waters and the menu. To get the most of the experience, my brother thought we should all share several items. We shared their famous Pork Chops, Duck Confit, Ribs and Cornbread, Squash Risotto, and a side of Green Beans. We were offered fresh bread and butter prior to the arrival of our entrees and shortly after enjoying the soft pillowy bread, we were ready for more. My parents, being Cantonese and coming from the restaurant background, really care about having fresh and quality ingredients and letting the flavors shine - not letting sauces dictate the dish. Despite it being American fare, they quite enjoyed each dish and went back for additional helpings after giving a small initial taste of each item. Our visit to Mustards Grill ended up being a joyous meal where my parents got more exposure to the wonders of quality American cuisine as well as marked a good start to the day we were spending in wine county.

We ordered a couple drinks from the bar which were brought over to our table, our waiter went over the menu and how the pre fixe meal would proceed. For our starter, we had the Garden snap peas salad. The idea of fresh ingredients of carrots, frisee, arugula, and the Hobbs bacon was going to create a bounty of flavors, but fell short as our salad was doused heavily with dressing. The dressing completely overpowered the vegetables, did not compliment them as anticipated, leaving a very sour/bitter taste after every bite. Even the table next to us felt the dressing was overpowering. For our next course, we ordered the French onion dip and kettle chips appetizer, this was a solid pick! This appetizer was more than enough for two people, actually way too much for both of us, but enjoyed the dip very much. This is where the service began to slow down. We were almost done with our appetizer platter, needing some water refills and a fresh beverage, and felt like a very long time from when we received our appetizer until our waiter came back to us. For context, it had been almost an hour since we initially sat down, ate our salad and appetizer. I know this may be a slow paced meal, but felt overly long before we even got to our main course. For the main course, we had the pork chops. Well portioned for both of us, very tender, but lacked that nice grilled char we personally like. I assume the pork chops were sous vide and then finished lightly on the grill top to give the char and grill marks. Overall good, but not the wow we were anticipating for tonight's meal. Next up was the apple, crisp, dessert, which was OK and underwhelmed. We skipped the cheese and pretzel plate and asked them to put it in a to go box as we were already approaching two hours into our meal. Our experience may not be typical, but for a very expensive Friday night dinner, we felt it could've been spent elsewhere and would have had a better value overall.

Upon entering the restaurant, the ambience immediately took my breath away with their indoor decor (ofc right? It's a furniture brand LOL). Nathan, my host at the front greeted my husband & I with such enthusiasm, which made us felt very welcomed. He was super attentive to my reservation's notes (because I feel like most restaurants don't pay attention to the celebration notes on reservations sometimes) & congratulated us on our honeymoon! Nathan was also sweet enough to take photos for us before eating (because I didn't want to take pictures after being full). He knew them photo angles too, so thanks Nathan!!! Moving on to food, we were served by Cori, our super friendly server for the evening. She went over the menu very thoroughly & suggested a couple popular items & personal favorites which made it real easy for us to play cross elimination on the menu. We ended up with the bluefin toro carpaccio to start (soooo good & savory), branzino (simple ingredients that wasn't fishy), classic baked potato, and the broccolini as our pairings. The flavors all came together super well. We also had two drinks, banana split & a cookie for dessert. Oh, & I can't forget the nice warm bread & butter when we were waiting for our food. Thank you so much Cori & staff for the heartwarming service of the night!

Having visited both their up-valley locations and the downtown Napa restaurant numerous times, I continue to find myself returning for one particular menu item, the Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos. These tacos showcase Hawaiian-style marinated sushi-grade ahi tuna layered with fresh avocado, crisp green cabbage and cilantro slaw, green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and a drizzle of spicy mayo, all nestled within a delicate crispy taco shell. While the ingredients themselves are impressive, it is the harmony of flavors and textures that elevates this dish from a simple taco to a truly memorable culinary experience. There is a remarkable balance at work in every bite. The clean, fresh flavor of the ahi is complemented by the richness of the avocado, while the slaw contributes a refreshing crunch and brightness. The spicy mayo ties the components together with just enough heat to enhance, rather than overpower, the delicate flavors of the fish. It is one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression on the palate and creates an immediate desire to return for it again, when driving by. On this particular visit, the first taco shell was exceptionally crisp, shattering upon the first bite and making it somewhat challenging to enjoy. Fortunately, the remaining two tacos were executed flawlessly. The shells provided the perfect contrast of texture while allowing the freshness and quality of the ingredients to remain the focal point. Each bite was vibrant, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Accompanying the tacos was Gotts' homemade lemonade, a refreshing pairing that proved equally enjoyable. Its bright citrus character and restrained sweetness complemented the richness of the ahi and the subtle heat of the spicy mayo, creating a refreshing counterpoint that enhanced the overall dining experience. At slightly more than $25 with tip, this is certainly not cheap. However, when considering the quality of the ingredients, the freshness of the preparation, and the restaurant's unwavering consistency, the value becomes readily apparent. For those who appreciate fresh seafood, Hawaiian-inspired flavors, and thoughtfully prepared fish tacos, the Ahi Poke Crispy Tacos at Gotts Roadside are worthy of the acclaim they receive. They are vibrant, refreshing, expertly balanced, and remain one of my go to places to get ahi tacos.
