The sushi here is great. However, my issue is with the way the owner treats their staff. The owner takes half the tips from the workers. If you want to tip for excellent service, please do so in cash and discreetly. Regarding the food, it is of great quality, and the workers are nice and professional. Good all you can eat sushi place in Vacaville! It's about $18 for the lunch all you can eat and roughly $21 for the dinner all you can eat. I came here for lunch with my wife and we enjoyed it. They give you a menu with all the rolls and you pick which rolls or appetizers you want each round. If you're not in the mood for all you can eat sushi they also have delicious bento boxes that you can choose from instead. I personally think Fuji Sushi is a little bit better taste and variety wise but this place is a little cheaper and it's also a little nicer because you don't have to get up to get your rolls. I ordered Togo, so I can't really comment on how service is besides the fact that the hostess was very friendly taking my order over the phone and giving me my order when I arrived at the restaurant. From just walking in, the restaurant looked pretty clean from what I saw and looked pretty roomy. I ordered the Golden Gate roll and the Lion King roll. I'm subtracting a star because per the menu the Golden Gate roll contains shrimp, avocado, and crab and is deep fried. When I called my order in I also asked the lady taking my order what the difference between the two rolls were and once she stated what comes in the rolls I then said so pretty much the golden gate roll is like the lion king roll just fried. She then stated the only similarities the two had was the crab and avocado. Well they obviously messed up because my Golden gate only had crab, avocado, special sauce and was deep fried. The lion king is crab, avocado, topped with salmon and special sauce and baked. I've been going to Hisui for several years now. It's always been my favorite sushi place! The customer service is great as well, the waiters and waitresses are always so friendly. It does take a while for the food to get out sometimes, but it's honestly worth it. Their Alaska Hand Rolls are one of my all-time favorites. The decor of the place is very cool and definitely enjoyable to look at. They used to have a coi pond, than they drained the water and fish out of it. I wonder what happened. I loved those fishies!! The service is the best of all sushi buffets between the Sacramento-Davis-Woodland-Vacaville area. I went for the lunch time sushi buffet (12pm-3pm) and it was delicious! The atmosphere was clean and the price was good (~18$/adult). I like that you can alter the amount of each dish so you can try more stuff instead of stuffing yourself with just 3 types or something. Lots of parking space and the resturant follows CDC guidelines in all areas. I took out one star because there's a buffet place in Sac that has higher quality fish for a slightly higher price. It's been months trying to find a place that doesn't have insanely expensive fresh good sushi. You can't beat the price for the all you can eat. I just wish they had chunks of fish inside the rolls instead of imitation crab, tempura or minced fish included. If they add more raw rolls filled with actual fish chunks, even if they raise the price, I would've given it 5 stars. That being said, we've been to several expensive sushi restaurants around solano county with the same fillings and barely any fresh raw rolls. They greeted us with a smile and service was all around fast, friendly and attentive. They also offer miso soup as part of the all you can eat. Let me get the obvious out of the way. Yes the restaurant smells like the grease trap. It's the first thing that hits you. I used to wash dishes and the grease trap would randomly back up and there's nothing you can do about it because it's a problem with the entire sewage system for every building and it costs thousands to have it cleaned out only for it to back up again so I feel their pain. They have the door wide open and all the ceiling fans on full blast so they are doing the best they can. Your nose adapts and I could hardly smell it after about 15 minutes. Now onto the sushi. Came here for the all you can eat. They don't offer sashimi like Fuji but my waitress let me order single pieces of nigiri to try. I haven't had sushi since corona started so my mouth was watering just holding the first piece. The fish quality is on par with Fuji and this area. The sushi is a little over riced and pretty dense but not machine made dense which is better than Fuji, but had almost zero vinegar flavor. Both my waitress and the bus boy were very attentive to refilling my drink which was nice. Minor negatives were my unagi didn't have any sesame seeds and they could afford to clean the cobwebs off the ceiling. I will try the other location sometime. read more

Underwhelming. Have eaten here a few times, but did takeout recently for a quick meal. The 3 rolls purchased had minimal fish, mostly rice, and it appeared there were substitutions. Potstickers cold, even though we arrived 5 minutes before meal was supposed to be ready. Edamame not even salted, and ice cold. My guy went to pickup the order, and required to prove the purchase with the online receipt/order number (which came to my phone). Don't know if this was an unusually busy night (was a Saturday), or something has changed with staff/management. Very disappointing me for our guests. First time here, the sushi was really yummy an fresh. I really liked the 49er roll so far my favorite roll because it was topped with fresh salmon on top. My husband enjoyed his deep fried roll (golden gate) . My least favorite roll was the ZigZag because in the center of the roll was deep fried crab, but it was sort of hard as a rock and I didn't care for it. It didnt take long for our server to come by and take our order. She ordered a bento box and I order the zig zag roll. We also shared pot stickers. Pot stickers were delicious. Sushi was good and tasted pretty fresh. I would like to try a different roll next time. Bento box looked tasty and tasted delicious as well. Hisui 2 for me falls dead center. My first dinner experience here didn't blow me away but it didn't leave me feeling like I completely wasted my money either. The restaurant itself, situated at the very end of the Creekside Center in Vacaville is easy to find right off Alamo Dr. The interior is warm and inviting with a lot a red tones and wood throughout. There is an impressive bar area, two to be exact. One where you can watch as your sushi is being created for you or the general bar where you can sit, eat, and enjoy your cocktails. Me and my two girlfriends sat in the regular dining area. And while we were seated quickly we weren't approached by a server that quickly at all. In fact, enough time went by that we felt it necessary to grab the attention of another server passing by to ask if we could at least place a drink order before happy hour ended. She obliged even though we were not technically in her area but we were very appreciative of that. To our surprise however, she did end up serving our table for the remainder of our visit since the other server was, according to her, too busy with other tables. She took our food orders and was fairly attentive to us throughout. Our food order did take a bit longer than we anticipated but the restaurant did seem quite packed. There was a variety of food headed to our table also, my girl friends ordered chicken teriyaki and sushi rolls between them and I ordered the Chicken Udon with wheat Udon noodles. I found my dish okay overall. The broth lacked salt, the chicken was a bit tough and the noodles were... rubbery and tough, for lack of better words. The size of the dish was very generous which was nice but I didn't intend on eating it all simply based on the flavor and texture. In fact, my friends didn't finish their dishes either and the general consensus was that the food was, "eh, ok." None of us took home the leftovers either. This is a solid sushi spot with a deceptively clever pricing strategy. With tasty rolls, rice bowls, and bento combinations across the board, flavors here are all unquestionably delicious. Everything is served at the right consistency, temperature, and is especially flavorful for a casual Japanese restaurant. Each time I order something here I'm impressed by the quality! I mentioned their cunningly tricky pricing because their sushi rolls are always priced at "50% off!" This made me chuckle because it actually works. (E.g. a roll that is $13 is now 50% off at $6.50!) I can't complain because the prices are stellar, but the fact that it's ALWAYS 50% off kind of defeats the purpose. For what we have close in these local areas I have a tendency to take a pass on the more popular Fuji's and have my unlimited sushi fill at Hisui 2. I couldn't disagree more with those who judge this restaurant so poorly. No place is perfect, but on a whole I find this place has quality when it comes to their all you can eat. I will be the first to admit I don't dine here during the regular dinner menu. As a lot of Japanese restaurants it can be expensive. In the long haul for your dollar I would participate in the AYCE instead. The seats of the booth are outdated and not the cleanest. I actually prefer not to sit in one due to parts of the mat that can poke at your bottom. It would be nice to see them replaced. Although, that's not a good enough reason for those discouraging two stars. You can easily request a regular table or have a seat at the bar that has televisions all around. When it comes to sushi I prefer the cooked ones. If that is your idea of sushi I would recommend coming here! I have been frequenting this place for years and never have I once had food poisoning. Either you have bad luck or don't have a strong stomach for the delights of the sea. I do appreciate that they don't have boats of sushi floating in constant circles. They make the food after your order is made. I am a fan of their appetizers! They don't have a lot of choices in comparison to Fuji's, but that's how I like it. Quality over quantity. The gyoza, deep fried banana, and yakitori (chicken on skewer) always come out hot and leave me satisfied after I've had my quota of sushi. Did I mention they also give you a flavorful miso soup to first to start out? As miso soup does it warms you up!
