    3 Piece Suit
    Jimmy N.

This Review is long overdue and is for Mr. Ixaias Avila. I came in because I needed a 3 piece suit for my brother's wedding. Ixaias was quick to welcome me and educate me on fabrics and pricing. This is my first custom suit so I wanted it done right. Ixaias took his time to measure me and offer me advice on how to dress for the event. When the suit finally came we did some extra tailoring, so that took an extra couple days. When it came back it fit perfect. I felt like a million bucks at the event and it felt even more special with my initials and name embroidered discreetly inside the suit. When I took my suit to get dry cleaned, the business I used unfortunately damaged my mother of pearl buttons. I called Ixaias and he took them to the tailor and got them fixed for me for free! Amazing experience. Special thanks to Ixaias. I look forward to my next suit.

Honestly the best customer service hands down. Philip was so professional and knowledgeable in suits and explaining EVERY aspect! I know nothing about suits (my fiancé does) and I totally understood every nuisance of the customized suit process from Phillip's explanation. And, you get discount for 4 or more suits. A priority for us was to be able to have the entire bridal party of 6 to get fitted since they're out of town and Philip was SO SUPPORTIVE and thoughtful in setting up a plan to schedule and measure and delivery for the wedding date. My fiancé and I went to another place before coming here and that place didn't give us the time of day. They also couldn't accommodate more than a party of 3. Will be coming back here! They're a ten year old company and first store on the West cost. Don't let the few reviews scare you and come at least talk to Philip!! The store was so clean and professional and hell, I want a suit here!

Brought my husband in for a custom suit for a wedding we were going to attend in about 5 weeks. Great service and extremely detail oriented service. They were conscious of our needs and didn't try to upsell different options but instead catered the service to make sure we were comfortable and got what we needed. Got the suit just in time and even had it adjusted after. Ask for Ixaias!!

After an exhaustive search for a dinner jacket for my 55th birthday event I finally went to H&C to get measured and make a purchase. The service was impressive and impeccable from beginning to end and I'll return for future purchases. The quality is superb and match the customer service, well worth the money and a great experience.

My buddy and I came into Hive & Colony looking to get some bespoke suits for an upcoming wedding less than a month away. Harrison greeted us and asked us to come back cause he had an existing appointment. We spent the next couple of hours going around Valley Fair mall and the surrounding areas to see what was available at an accelerated timeline. We ventured as far as Santana Row, as well as the Men's Wearhouse across the street. We couldn't find anything that caught our eye that would be ready in time for the wedding. Additionally, one of the other suit stores in the mall happened to be closed at the time, and I am so glad that it was. When we returned to the store, Harrison and Philip were there ready to help us on our journey towards getting our custom suits. Starting off with a delicious gesture from off the top shelf, I knew we were in classy, creative hands. There were countless color, fabric, and pattern options to choose from in several binders and swatches. It began a bit overwhelming, but with the careful consideration of these well-dressed designers, they guided us in the direction that would best fit our body types. Once our patterns and fabrics were chosen, we could move on to choosing custom stitch colors, button choices, engraving options, lining fabric, etc. There were so many custom (even hidden) touches that would make our suits one of a kind. After going through the countless options for jackets, pants, and shirts, we moved onto getting measured. The only other place I've gotten measured for a suit was Men's Wearhouse. H&C had many more measurements taken on and around my body, so I was confident that my suit would fit me perfectly. After about a couple hours of choosing options and getting measured, it was time to settle up. I can tell you that my suit was not a cheap one. If you're looking for a lesser priced option, H&C is probably not the place for you. But I can tell you that for me, every penny was well worth it. From beginning to end, Harrison and Philip were extremely professional and detail oriented. A few days before the wedding (right at the estimated eta we were quoted), we headed back to the store to try on our suits for the first time. Putting on a suit that was specifically tailored for you is a pretty spectacular feeling. I had a huge smile on my face while putting on my shirt and pants that were made specifically for my body. Although my jacket fit a tiny bit loose in one area, we didn't have time to make any alterations before the wedding. So Philip instructed me to bring it by for free adjustments (for the lifetime of the suit, btw) after the wedding. As a lesser attractive man, I wanted a suit that would stand out from the rest (a bit of peacocking, if you will) and that would make a statement. This suit did just that. I received so many compliments both in person and on social media on how my suit looked and fit. I'm so grateful that we found a place that could make me look and, more importantly, feel good. I was extremely comfortable in my new threads and they even withstood my aggressive dancing and running around in the woods all night during the wedding. Thank you, so much, Philip and Harrison!! Anh and I will definitely be back for another round.

I was in need for a new suit for a couple weddings happening this year. I came in, Philip took care of me. Walked me through everything I needed to know for my first custom suit with Hive and Colony, and even how to take care of my suit in the future if anything ever happened to it. Could not have asked for a better experience. Definitely won't be the last time I come here for a suit or anything else. Thank you Philip and the rest of the team.

I wish I could leave more than a 5 star review!! Philip was absolutely incredible. His attention to detail, advice and overall positive demeanor helped me craft the perfect suit with him. He helped me select details that combined the perfect feminine touch in my suit. Can't recommend Hive & Colony enough for a women's suit! Philip... you rock!!

Went to Hive and Colony to purchase a suit for my daughters wedding. Customer service the day I went in was great. Never got a call or email communication that it was ready. After 8 weeks I made the attempt to call, and was told the suit was there 3 weeks prior to my follow up call. Never received any communication by email or even a phone call. Went in to try on, and wasn't pleased with the fit, so obviously there had to be some alterations. Customer service at this point wasn't as great as initial visit. They offered to Mail the suit after alterations. Received by Fed Ex , almost 2 weeks later. So disappointed with how this was packaged. The jacket was inside out and crammed in the box, as well as the pant, and hangers. The only thing folded in the box was the suit bag. For the amount of money you invest in a tailored suit and receive in this matter was very disappointing! Now there's an added expense of getting it pressed/steamed before it can be worn.

I had a suit made and Hive made alterations and made sure the fit was perfect. Also they are careful to be mindful to your personal preferences and small touches, like the sleeve length if you want your watch to show. There is a lot of fabric selections to choose from, and lots of customization you can do like the buttons and the lapel style. Hive really went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with my fit, and it was very appreciated how much attention and care they have to make sure you like the fit. I like my trouser length a little longer so they made that edit after my first round of alterations. They also adjusted the vest for a snugger fit and the whole 3 piece suit looked perfect. They are super friendly and also good at fashion tips. It was really nice to get fitted from Hive and I look forward to getting my next suit from them! Also they come in a really nice traveling bags. And the hanger is really nice and has felt on it. Everything just looks and feels really nice!

The Fix Kicks - Where the Sneaker Game Feels Like Home…read more I still remember the first time I stepped into The Fix Kicks in Santa Clara it was like walking into sneaker heaven. I opened that door and boom instant chills. I was surrounded by walls full of heat: Jordan 1s, Yeezys, Dunks, pairs I'd only ever seen on Instagram. Then I turned the corner and saw the Funko Pop wall, and I swear, it felt like I was in the middle of a dream. But here's where the story gets even better. It wasn't just the shoes or the collectibles it was the energy. The vibes. The people behind the counter weren't just employees they were sneakerheads like me. They greeted me like I'd been coming there for years, asked me what I was into, chopped it up with me like we were homies. From that very first visit, I knew this wasn't your average shop. This was family. Since then, I've bought kicks, sold pairs, and each time I leave, I walk out with a smile. Not just because of the shoes but because of how I was treated. They take care of you at The Fix Kicks. They're real ones. Fair prices, honest deals, no funny business just a team that truly loves what they do and puts their heart into every interaction. It's rare to find a spot like this. They've created more than just a store they've built a community. A place where sneaker culture is alive, respected, and celebrated. So if no one's told y'all yet: Fix Kicks, I'm giving you your flowers today. Thank you for the good vibes, the unforgettable experiences, and for always holding it down for sneaker lovers like me. Another thing that is a downside of this place is selling your things to them they will lowball the hell out of you and resell it 2x higher than what they ask from you. So I advise you not to sell to them either. Honestly if you wanna buy or sell sneakers I prefer a better sneaker shop 3 miles away from this place which is called Sole Priority.

=== Most comfortable pair of running shoes I've encountered thanks to Chris ===…read more For context, I got more seriously into running 4-5 years ago. Since my first pair of shoes, I've started learning a little about what seems to work well and what doesn't. But there's still so much to learn and SO many shoes out there. I've been to a number of sports stores (Sports Basement, Fleet Feet, Footwear Etc.) so was looking forward to trying out Roadrunner. +++ Chris was incredible. Greeted me immediately but made sure that the customer he was working with was taken care of. Asked if I had been there before (no, I hadn't), offered feet analysis (yes, please) and while we were doing that, asked great questions about context -- activity level, any injuries I had experienced, shoes I had run in before and my experience in them. He made some measured suggestions about what might fit my feet and running style, did the measurements, and then modified his recommendations. He brought out his recommendations, even offering a sequence in which to try them. Then he _gave me space_ to take time with the shoes. He let me know that he was available any time I might need him, and would very periodically check in, but was great about giving me time with the shoes. After the first round of feedback on the shoes, he went and got one or two more, after which I made my decision. +++ I ended up with shoes I LOVED. After trying out 6-10 different shoes recommended by experience salespeople, none of them felt great. They were all decent and I was getting used to the idea that that's just how it was going to be. I had tried Brooks, Hokas, On's, Altra's. Based on my experience with my previous shoes, he brought out Brooks but also brought out a Hoka and an Asics. I LOVED the Asics (Gel Cumulus). Felt like putting on a glove but with space, felt secure on the run, just the right amount of padding. I didn't know running shoes could feel like this. Did Chris just get lucky recommending these? Maybe, but he's the only salesperson that suggested these. Note: even AI hadn't come up with this which goes to show that sometimes People 1 AI 0. * Yes, he offered custom insoles that other reviews have talked about. But he wasn't pushy about them at all, and in fact, recommended that we start with the shoes and see how those were before diving further into the customs. + He talked about their VIP program. But it wasn't high-pressured, and in my case, it made sense. $20 for the first year of the program with an immediate 10% off your purchase that day (which was already $15). 10% off purchases in the next year. Plus, he made some mention of $20 in store credit in the first year. It's $20 -- I pay almost that much for a burrito (well, burrito supreme and maybe a drink). + Don't let their narrow storefront fool you -- the store sincerely feels big inside. Can't compare really to Sports Basement since that's just a section and SB is devoted to lots of different activities. Sunnyvale RR feels larger than Menlo Park's Fleet Feet. Don't know how Sunnyvale's RR compared to Campbell's RR (would be curious to hear from those that have been to both.) What's particular nice is you actually DO have room to run in there. + They make you wear their socks for both measurement and trying on shoes. That's actually pretty awesome because it means they're taking care of their shoes. I thought this was clever. They're nice socks so they do simulate what an actual run would be like. - They don't let you take the shoes outside, or least don't seem to. He offered me a run inside the store or on one of several nice treadmills (I've never found treadmill running to approximate road running so I stuck to the store running.) -- He seemed to indicate that WITHOUT the VIP membership, you can't return the shoes after you've worn them. This is very different from Fleet Feet, Nike, and other stores I've been to where they will take shoes back as long as they're in decent condition. * You don't need to check in or put your name on a list when you get there. I don't think that's positive or negative -- this is just about what to expect when you get there. (When you get to Fleet Feet, you put your name on a list so they know whom to help next. Just different ways of doing things.) Super super impressed with Chris. I hear about people falling in love with their shoes -- grateful that this might happen with my next pair due to him.

I usually shop at the Campbell location, and my…read moreexperiences there have always been great, so I was surprised by how different my visit to the Sunnyvale location felt. My boyfriend and I came in to return a pair of shoes, but we were apparently confused about the return/exchange policy--or perhaps it wasn't explained clearly when we originally purchased them. We were under the impression that returns and exchanges could be made within 90 days of purchase. When we arrived, we were told that our shoes could only be exchanged, not returned. That wasn't the issue. Once the policy was explained, we understood it. What made the experience frustrating was the attitude we received from multiple employees. The staff kept repeating the policy over and over, and it started to feel less like they were helping us understand and more like they were talking down to us. One sales associate, Vlad, was especially condescending. He compared our situation to buying a used car, driving it around, scratching it up, and then expecting a full refund. He repeatedly pointed out scuffs on the shoes, even after we acknowledged and understood the policy. The comparison felt unnecessary, and his tone came across as rude rather than helpful. Later, after Vlad went on break, we were assisted by Chris at the register. He was able to process the exchange onto a gift card, which we appreciated, but he also seemed to be in a bad mood and wasn't particularly friendly. Maybe it was just an off day for the staff, but the overall customer service at this location was disappointing. If you have the option, I'd recommend going to the Campbell location instead. I've consistently had much better experiences there.

My friend also asked if they could leave their backpack there, and the staff kept it behind the desk, which was really nice. The bike was in good condition! We rode it for 4-5 hours with no issues. A few things I wanted to point out - the seat was pretty narrow and hard, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. It had been a while since I last biked, so I'm not sure if I just need to wear padded shorts or if the seat wasn't the right fit for me. Another thing is that I couldn't sit in the front because the seat was too tall for me to comfortably reach the pedals, and there didn't seem to be an easy way to adjust the height. Lastly, it would've been nice to have a phone mount on the handlebar for navigation. We turned in the bike at the end of the day. Overall, the process was very smooth, the staff were friendly, and the rental was affordable. I would do it again, but I'd wear padded shorts next time :)
