It was a pleaser for us and the grandparents. Our party enjoyed the fried grouper, ribeye, mahi and duck. But the star of the show was the pork chop special. They should add that gem to the menu! Moving back to Naples I was surprised with Hobnob Kitchen & Bar. For a brief moment in time while I'm eating dinner I get to pretend. Like I just jumped on the L train to go from Brooklyn to Manhattan. Only I'm in Naples, Fl. From the time you walk in your greeted very warmly and it's almost tough to leave! Girls Night Out on a Sunday night. Thank heaven season has died down and it was quiet! We were able to pay attention to the food and to chatter as well. Our waiter was attentive but not overweening. My friend's short rib was excellent, and my pasta du jour was divine! The wine was lovely, and reasonable! The check was brought promptly. This restaurant is just hands down incredible. We were in town from NYC and went in for drinks at the bar one night last week - ended up meeting the manager Jeremy (who used to be the executive chef), who went out of his way to make sure we had a table the following night. He recommended the ribs, the octopus, the peppers, a fish dish and a couple other items. The food was phenomenal - very inventive, fresh and delicious. Our servers were so incredible and the bar tender a riot. We loved every part of our experience. This restaurant should be number 1 for restaurants in Naples to visit. We were upstairs and there was no air conditioning. I asked why you didn't tell us ahead of time as that was the only time my two children + spouse and a child and my husband and I went out to eat in the 3 days they were here from up north. NEVER would we have stayed had we been told NO AIR. Terrible. Yes, you removed 2 drinks--problem...we ordered those two drinks and NEVER received them....we should not have had to pay for them. My grandson was hungry. They went to Burger King and the 3 of them had burgers...Thanks Michael. What a failure of an expensive evening. I understand you need to keep the place full but you need to be fair to customers. I am 72 not 42. I can't tolerate the heat. I had lung cancer....shame on you. DB read more

Great New American cuisine in Naples. If you like that San Francisco vibe, you'll appreciate the style and food of Hobnob. Make sure to order artichoke and brussel sprouts; fried squid also delicious - loved the Thai inspired flavors. Corn and crab meat chowder was quite filling and came in a hefty serving bowl; would recommend cup size if you want to sample 2-3 other dishes (or order in colder weather!) Avoid. I was there a couple days ago. Our hotel, Naples Grande Resort gave us a couple choices to celebrate my wife's birthday. Unfortunately I picked this place and they called and made the reservation. A few hours before we arrived, I called them to ask if my wife could get a piece of dessert with a candle on it as a surprise. The girl assured me she would take care of it. When we arrived, when my wife and 2 kids were ahead of me, I confirmed my wishes with the guy at the front desk. He said "no problem." And with me it wasn't about getting something for nothing, I would have gladly paid for whatever they brought out. When our bill arrived and no celebration, I gave the waiter an extra tip and wrote on the bill that I wanted a little dessert as promised with a candle. After reading it, he came back and to my wife (who didn't know what I was up to) said he wasn't going to do it because nobody told him. I said well, I am asking you, but he said "no", and onto the next table he went. A little embarrassing for me. And he wouldn't come back. When we were leaving, I told him I wanted him to reverse the tip (of course he said "no"). The following day, I contacted the manager, Jeremy Caprari. He could care less. And this is how they treat guests of a neighboring hotel! Seems like they treat the locals better. read more

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. As a gluten free eater, my concern is always an accommodating menu. Hobnob not only had more than enough choices but also it was very difficult to choose what exactly to eat! The menu was more than diverse with lots of mouthwatering options. Upon entering the busy and buzzing restaurant, we were greeted by a very friendly and smiling hostess who immediately took us to our waiting table. Our knowledgable waiter promptly welcomed us and offered the specialty cocktail and food lists. I started off with a coconut Mojito (superb) , crab and corn chowder (excellent), grilled artichokes (very good) and for my entree has the grouper (phenomenal!). I've never tasted grouper like this before. It was Fried in cornmeal so for gluten-free eaters this is a Safe and very scrumptious way to eat the fish. The grouper by far was the best grouper I have had in south west Florida to date. The ambience was buzzing and absolutely wonderful. I would very highly, highly recommend Hob Nob as a stop in your culinary choices while visiting Naples, Florida. read more

I was very excited to finally dine at Hob Nob. It was such a busy season we never got a reservation. Well last night we went with friends and I have to say I have mixed reviews. The crab chowder was excellent. The calamari was mushy and not crunchy and just ok. I asked specifically if they were crispy before I ordered them. Blah and not much heat. Most concerning was as I was providing very polite feedback on them the waiter just walked away. The other 5 people at our table were amazed by his rudeness. They thought I was very pleasant in the way I discussed the food. Some had Good meals and others did not. There are so many other dishes I would like to try so I will go back. The other couples were so taken aback by this guy, they decided he should get a reduction in his tip. By the way, I never would blame the waiter for bad food. Not their fault. I know I was one for years. I am usually a big tipper for nice service. read more
