I was a first-time visitor to this newest Hobby Lobby store. The store itself is HUGE, well-organized, and super clean. Employees could be seen working hard, nonstop, bringing in boxes and boxes of new inventory to restock all the shelves from the weekend's sales. I am not a regular shopper at any Hobby Lobby store; however, after visiting this store, I became a fan as they offer so many interesting, fun, and affordable products. Employees were extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There is another Hobby Lobby store closer to my home but for me, I don't mind the extra drive as I really enjoyed my visit to this specific store. read more

So I went here on the "soft opening day." I was really hoping to love this place since my favorite craft and hobby store has since closed down. But........ I didn't live it. I didn't even like it. I would go here only for necessities that I need right then and there and couldn't wait to order online or go to Walmart for. Maybe my expectations were a bit high. We were finally getting a big craft store in Montebello. Now I'm not saying they don't have a very large selection and decent prices. But this store is NOT for me. See I am a disabled mom and sometimes I like to go shopping by myself. Maybe to get something by for a birthday or a holiday or just something to do with my kids to surprise them. Well I cannot shop here alone. While they do offer a wheelchair cart. It is a manual cart with a large basket that locks you into the seat and is a very large size wheelchair. That part is great for the plus size disabled community. I really do mean that. Props for being plus size friendly. But seriously shame on you for not having something for a disabled person to shop on their own. Not a single electric cart. Not one. I can't self propel myself in a manual wheelchair. I don't want to be trapped by the basket of the chair either. I mean if I needed to get up where would I put my items I'm going to purchase. If I needed to reach for something on a higher shelf. So again not for me. Not a place I could shop alone even if I wanted too. The staff was all standing around talking to one another. Not really offering much help to the customers. When I did ask for help they didn't seem to know where anything was. Yes this is a new store. New employees and they are getting the lay of the land per say. But not even the management seemed to know where things were. So all in all you get one star because I wasn't able to really look around. I wasn't able to enjoy my shopping. I wasn't able to hold items as I can't push a cart and walk with my forearm crutches at the same time. Please let me know if you do get a better way for a disabled person to shop and I will be back and spend some time perusing the aisles. read more

I been here twice and I love the store, it has everything a crafty person needs. Is one of those stores that has things that you want to create to things are are already made. And they have every season's theme to the max, especially the Red White and Blue ones, you know what I'm talking about lol 4 th of July, Memorial Day, all the patriotic stuff. And last year I was at one of their stores to buy Christmas items, half the store was a Christmas theme, so much items were half off, I was almost broke by the time I got out of there lol. Is like every time you go in for one specific item, you end up going out with the cart lol I think is better then Michael's. But this time I just brought some butterflies for my flowers arrangement. I was so tempted to get some other stuff then I realized I was on a time commitment to other things so I left quickly. Until next time, I will definitely come back. And for those of you don't really know what I o get your friend/coworkers, this is a great place to go. Is inexpensive and lots of pretty things. I know lots of people always complain about the employees not being helpful but if you respect them, you will get that in return. Retail is hard work people. Have some patience !!! read more

Hobby enthusiasts would love to come here to get their items to finish up their projects. I needed to sew my damaged shorts for the summer so I had some ideas on how to accomplish it. Though ultimately my friend fixed my issues she did need some thread and this was the place to get it. We walked the entire place just looking at all the projects we could start on if we ever wanted to do something cool like paint or build or decorative stuff. The staff in each department was helpful in finding what I needed to accomplish my project. I felt there was good value in want I needed. Plenty of parking outside which is great. read more

Have been waiting for Hobby Lobby in Montebello to open! So Excited, it has tons of parking. The store is super stocked because it's new and honestly Montebello needed this crafts store since there is not one very close by. The employees are very nice and helpful. I wanted to share concern regarding a recent interaction on May 6, 2026 involving an employee named Gilbert. From what I understand, a special needs child was calmly playing with feathers for sensory comfort while staying off to the side and not bothering anyone. I completely understand that employees may need to address situations or protect merchandise, however the interaction was handled in a way that came across unnecessarily harsh and unkind toward both the child and his parents. There is always a respectful and compassionate way to communicate with families, especially when children with special needs are involved. I hope this situation can be addressed internally so future interactions are approached with more patience, professionalism, and understanding. No family should leave feeling uncomfortable over a child simply finding joy and sensory comfort in your store. Thank you. read more

My brother went in there for the first time ever. He said everyone was rude to him and kept looking at him in the aisles, but wouldn't ask if he needed help. He felt like they were profiling him as if he was going to steal. My brother is filled with tattoos but there all Christian tattoos. He went in there trying to find something for our church prayer room, but left upset.... Do better... you're supposed to be a Christian store.... Come on now. read more

went to check out and wasn't told that they didn't accept apple pay until after my items were scanned, cashier ashley suspended my transaction as i went to go get the physical card, once i received it another cashier told me she could help me ashley then said she had my items, which of course i was taking it to the other register instead of saying anything more it wasn't till i was at the other register she said i couldn't do the transaction their bc the transaction isn't on their register, next time be clear on your instructions bc saying "i have her stuff" does not mean anything else and fix your attitude ashley! read more
