The atmosphere is awesome if you want perfect views of Lake Michigan and the decor was fashionable and quaint. Service was ok/good. The bartender seemed sarcastic or maybe crabby? And I recognize our server was busy with a large table, but timing wasn't great and we ended up waiting for our bill for at least 30 minutes. Loved that the meals provided a soup, salad and a potato. French onion was good, as was the garden salad, side of red potatoes were bland and nothing to brag about. Prime rib was good and tender, but not the most flavorful one I've ever had. It's out of the way for us so I'm not sure we'd be back unless we want a seat at the bar or patio with a view. Not worth the price for us otherwise. We really wanted to love it!

The vibes, services and views are 5/5! Definitely worth a visit just to see the views of Lake Michigan and the beautiful and unique decor of the hob nob. I ordered a cosmo and it was just ok - tasted a bit sweet and not quite as cold as I like. I ordered wine next and got an extremely generous pour! The bartenders were so sweet and attentive.

Amazing venue and perfect service. Thank you Guadalupe! Food was good but not great. Solid French onion soup and salad were spot on. Chicken Parnassian was delicious and a generous portion. My garlic shrimp and au gratin potatoes were just meh. The potatoes were extremely mushy and lacked salt. There were only a few shrimp and lacked seasoning. Presentation was sad. Just shrimp in a small plat on a larger plate. Can't believe that meal cost $39! Will get something else next time. Way too overpriced for what you got. The rest of the prices were fair.

We were very excited to try the nostalgic supper club when traveling through the area. The atmosphere and decor are definitely the best feature of this restaurant. It's right on the water and uniquely decorated with a retro vibe. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our hostess was nice and offered us a choice of tables. The restaurant was busy and the dining rooms were fairly loud- not the cozy environment we were hoping for. We started with old fashioners which were tasty. Our waitress to a while to get to us to order our meals. We started with the relish tray. It was dropped off at our table but no explanation of what the spreads were it was okay- mostly spicy peppers and probably not worth the $13. For our main meal we ordered steak in a skillet and a shrimp cocktail which I was having as the entree. We got the steak first. The veggies in the skillet were good but the steak was chewy with not much flavor- we ordered it medium rare. We were almost finished with the steak when the waitress brought out the shrimp. We were about to tell her we didn't want it. Wish we had told her it was a $17 shrimp cocktail with 4 medium shrimp with cocktail sauce that tasted like ketchup. All in all it was a just okay experience and in our opinion not worth the hype/price.

Great atmosphere and service. The lamb shank was amazing except there were just 2 small red potatoes. Usually not a huge lamb fan but I would definitely get this again. The swordfish had very good flavor but it was a small portion and was also very thin.

4.5 stars. A classic supper club right on the lake in Kenosha, though sadly due to dining on a Saturday night in February, we did not get to experience the spectacular lake views. Coat check is a nice touch, for the chilly winter nights and not having to drag your coat to your table. We made a reservation in advance but still had a little bit of a wait when we got there, so we hung out in the first room at the bar. Inside, this place looks like a design battle between old Hollywood glam, a drag queen, and a history buff --imagine velvet galore and comfortably chaotic, but from the outside, classic diner. Each room offers its own unique style, and we were seated in the one with large windows that would typically offer a view of the lake (though it was a bit too dark to enjoy it during our winter visit). The atmosphere was peaceful, which was great for our larger group, as we could hear each other without shouting. Our server, Christian, was attentive and made the experience even better. Now for the food, we started with oysters on the half shell, and most of the table opted for steaks -- filets, New York strips, and the famed cowboy ribeye. Each dinner (for chops and steaks) comes with your choice of soup, salad, and potatoes, with some premium upgrades available. Most of us chose the French onion soup, which came with extra cheese -- a delicious addition! The food was solid overall, though I wouldn't say there was anything particularly extraordinary, except for the classic way the courses were served. Based on reviews I'd read before coming, there were some complaints about the value versus the price, but with the three-course meal and side of potatoes, I felt I got my money's worth. For dessert, the table shared a variety of options, including an ice cream drink, flourless chocolate cake with ice cream, and tiramisu. We did try to get oysters Rockefeller and crème brulee but they were out for the night sadly. All in all, it was a great experience, and I would definitely dine here again.

Finally got to check this place out. I heard great things! We showed up about 20 minutes early for our reservation, so we made our way over to the bar. The bartender broke the ice by making everyone laugh and have a great time. After enjoying a couple cocktails we were seated, and ordered. Our food (prime rib) was experty prepared and our beverages were beautifully made. The staff were very professional and courteous. The building is gorgeous, sitting just on the edge of lake Michigan, with big windows looking out onto the water. definitely a return trip.

I'm a sucker for Wisconsin supper clubs--Especially if they have an awesome view and a small jazz band playing. Seriously, what's not to like? This place is both clean and dark. My wife commented on this fact which is important because dark restaurants sometimes hide their flaws in their darkness. Not here. The place was great-- all the stuff. Mirrored walls, dressed up wait staff, fish fry and prime rib as well as an impressive Wisconsin old fashioned. We had crab cakes and filet both were excellent but there was so much food-- it really feels like a bargain. Bread & butter, salad, soup, potato and then your entree. Holy hell for 4 drinks, 2 entrees plus the outstanding calamari (we didn't need) we were in for only $150. AND, we got some fun photos outside. Cool unique place- great service, terrific food and one of a kind setting. Next time we will try the pink squirrel!!

What an amazing step back in time! The ambiance with the view of Lake Michigan is spot on. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The food was a good value and the steak was so juicy and tender. Cooked the way my husband loves it. Definitely somewhere we will be going back to.

Do they have prime rib on Sunday nights, and Fridays too? Or is it only a Saturday night special?

Would this be a good place to go after a round of golf? is it casual? We will be in golf attire. Nice collard shirts and dockers. Some guys may be still wearing golf hats. Would this be acceptable?

This is a Wisconsin supper club, golf attire should be fine. But a reminder from us moms "take your hat off at the table" ;)

I reviewed close to 30 places to find the perfect spot that could accommodate up to 150 people and check all the boxes we were looking for. They hit the mark on all. The second floor and roof top more than handled our group. The space was free with a set minimal spend. And they met the budget. It allowed for an amazing buffet with fantastic food. Allowed us to utilize audio and visual as well as have our requested raffle table and check in table for name tags and mini gifts and ability to use directory boards and more. They are simply amazing and I would highly recommend them for your next event. Mike the owner was awesome to work with and was top notch with communication and accommodating all of our specific needs without additional expenses. I was a tough requester and have to say they not only met but exceeded on all avenues. The staff also was amazing - shout out to Christian, Wes, and Gabi and Dom. Btw the games provided were the cherry on top. Dart board, ring toss, Hammerschlagen. All this and food and beverage handled in house . No extra coordination for beverage or catering. Simply a win across the board! I Highly recommend!! Christina

While the band was warming up, the 1960 black-and-white romantic comedy/drama The Apartment was playing on a big screen over the stage. I loved that, but I did wish that closed captions had been on. We had the burrata (awesome) and split the smash burger and a side of fries. Both were good, and there was a great sauce/aioli served with the fries. The show was awesome, this band really cooks. We each had a couple of cocktails and they were also good, and balanced, so not too sweet or sour. My husband felt that his drinks were a little too sweet. The vibe is retro, sexy, upscale and with fun touches like the showgirl wallpaper designed by Melissa Scott in the entrance area. The whole space is beautiful and would be great for a date, girls' night, guys' night or any special occasion. One really nice thing was that during the band's intermission there was a fabulous performance by the burlesque dancer Lily Rascal. What a fun way to keep the party going. I really liked the mashed potatoes, very flavorful!! However, I'm pulling from my own inner Gordon Ramsay here- the Shepard Pie should be LAMB not beef and it should have veggies within. It did not taste different than the Pot Roast which came with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots as well as two large scoops of potatoes. Being downtown the price is reasonable around $25/person with a drink, but portions are small. Luckily I don't eat much in a single setting. Our waiter Alex was good, moderately attentive, and generally took care of our needs. The overall volume was excessive making conversation difficult. Ladies room was clean, cold water for hands is not a favorite but not an unusual way to save a little money I guess. I would come back but only if I'm in downtown Milwaukee.

I went here with my best friend and my hubby to celebrate my birthday with a great birthday dinner…read more We were in the Chi already visiting Atlas Stationary as a self-proclaimed station and fountain pen freak so we figured why not?!? I had heard great things about Carnivale prior to so please note that prior reservations were already made but regardless, it was all our first times there and we were stoked to finally try this place out. When we first got there, the outside was very unassuming. Some awesome graffiti on the wall (yes, angel wings included) and lots of color which made me so happy! As we entered, we were greeted by lots of colored flora on the walls and the floor. It led to a beautiful lounge where we checked in. The hostess was quite kind and they escorted us to another room that had multiple floors, two I believe. We were sitting in the main dining area where dining tables were set up and the ceiling lights and decorations were super-duper colorful. It was brightly lit and festive. Seriously, the colors alone could make anyone happy and do a serious dopamine overload which was fine with me. We sat down, was introduced to our server, Oscar and then given menu's. I genuinely thought that this place was pretty small initially because it looked small from the outside but boy was I wrong! This place was MASSIVE. But! I digress, now that we had our menu's-- Let the party begin!! We started with the ceviche tasting which included four types of ceviche; shrimp, Yucatan style hamachi, salmon and tuna. All were really good with their own really distinct flavors but our top favorites were the salmon and the tuna. The salmon had a kick while the tuna had a great balance of heat and sweetness. Great way to start of this dinner! My bestie ordered coconut shrimp and smoked mushroom croquettes for her main meal. My hubs ordered the carne asado while I ordered the lechon asada. I also want to add that we ordered Mexican street corn on the side alongside mashed potatoes and Peruvian Jalea. Ah and before I forget, we also ordered our drinks which consisted of a: sangria, margarita, Cotton Candy Cosmo and Salva Honduran Pilsner. All were spectacular and made the night that more enjoyable as well! When we received our food. We were all really enjoyed it as we all shared our bites amongst one another. The coconut shrimp was well breaded and you tasted the coconut as well. The shrimps were large and juicy. The smoked mushroom croquettes were good with a smokey flavor and good breading, however, the breading may have a been a little thick because you couldn't really taste the mushroom,m unfortunately. The carne asado was the star of the show. Well seasoned steak, cooked medium rare which was juicy and succulent. The lechon asado was good. Although I'm not used to eating lechon asado that is covered in sauce, the sauce was super tasty so I didn't mind the tender, juicy pork that was covered in it. I really enjoyed it. I think the only thing that I wish was different with regards to my lechon asado is that I wish it were hotter because it was luke warm when I received it. Other than that, it was....*chef's kiss*. The Mexican street corn was alright, it honestly just tasted like regular corn with mayonaise in it with some cheese. Didn't add anything significant to the meal. The mashed potatoes were soft but not too soft and buttery. They were really good and then the Purvian Jalea was another favorite, super good! The calamari, fish and shrimp with the Purvian Jalea were absolutely delicious; fresh, tasty and well breaded. It was absolutely yummalicious. To top the night off, they gave me a little birthday treat of cotton candy and carmel popcorn. We also had some tres leches which was so yummy because the fruit was fresh and you could taste the milk in the tender cake and then we had the chocolate cigar. The chocolate cigar was also really good, everything except the label was edible, It was smokey, chocolately and delectable. It's presentation was also so creative. We all loved it. Overall, this restaurant is SUPER PRICY but SUPER WORTH IT. I am so glad that I was able to go there to celebrate a special occasion because it would not be a place that I could go to on a regular basis but as much as I wish I was, ya girl ain't rich like that. The service was superb, the employees were kind, the food was fire and drinks were scrumptious. If you're looking for a fun, Latin cuisine inspired, creative, yummy way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion with a fun Latin twist--look no further, that is it! Check it out and you won't be disappointed. Now, I'm sorry for my novel and you may now go back to your normal programming schedule. If you do end up coming here and loving it -- i told ya so ;)
