We'd been hanging out and having some drinks at nearby bars and getting a little hungry, so Nate and I stopped by Hoboken Pie and grabbed a slice to go from their walk up window. This particular piece had pepperoni and jalapenos - it was really tasty! The sauce wasn't overly sweet, the crust was thin but held up to the toppings, and it was a big portion to share. We also got little packets of crushed red pepper and parmesan, which was a nice touch. I wish we had ordered a second slice because it was that good. We got it to go on a paper plate and headed to the show at Stubb's. They're open pretty late, making it a convenient stop after a concert. I'd go back! read more

Jersey girl can't stay away from her pizza and was elated when I saw the "Hoboken" name (I lived there for a bit) Omg what a let down. Firstly it was a Monday night, they said the wait was an hour no matter what you order unless it's a slice. If you can't handle the traffic, etc, you gotta hire more or create an easier/efficient flow within the business. Anyhow we put in an order, because we wanted to walk around and get a drink anyways. The food was fine. It was Yelp's service and contract with Grubhub that sucked. My order was never delivered, I never was notified after the initial "your order is received" notification and I called Grubhub to get a refund, which I did. Maybe I just got unlucky with the day that I went because I've heard decent things about this place. But unfortunately I wasn't really impressed. I only got one slice which was topped with bacon and meatball pieces, which sounds amazing, but again, just a very average slice. It didn't have the flavor that you would hope or expect from these toppings. I will say, it did remind me of a slice from Jersey, so that's cool and the dude that served me was super chill with my annoying friends behind me, so props to him. Born and raised in New York - I know what good pizza is. On the upside the pizza tasted great, the dough was spot on and the bake was near perfect. On the downside the preparation could have been better (there was a hole in the bottom of the pizza and they just went with it anyway - makes the pizza annoying to eat because it flops over like a wet rag) and the order-taker has that same attitude that most workers in Texas have - he hates his job and hates his life because all he can do is flip pizzas every day. We were attending a conference at the nearby Indigo hotel. This little pizza joint was perfect for a snack and a full meal. We went everyday we were there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Visiting Austin this weekend and we saw this pizza place was open late night so we decided to give it a try! They had a walk up window where you could order by the slice or the whole pie. We went for an 18in Hoboken Supreme and the guy at the window kept telling me how the pizza was going to be the best I've ever had! I'll admit it was pretty good, I would've liked it to be cooked just a little bit more but overall it was tasty and I'd definitely go back! Even just for a slice to go! Some of the best pizza in Downtown Austin. I'm really enjoying this spot here on red river. Every time I go for some reason they're always having specials where you get a slice for two dollars which is crazy good. It's thin crust which is delicious, they have a very good options on their menu as well. Definitely recommend, damn good pizza. read more

Great food and decently priced. The pizza was tasty and a lot bigger than we thought it'd be. They allow you to do 1/2 one style and 1/2 a different style so you can basically try two different types of pizza at once. We flew in from LA and got into our hotel at 11:30pm. We were starving and the concierge recommended this place. Within 30 min of ordering, Jonathan was at our room door. He was super friendly and we really appreciated the "room service". When I say we devoured the pizza, we DEVOURED IT. My very picky 10 year old was in love with it. Food is always delicious! Found this place earlier this year, we have ordered it at least once a month since. I always order their 18" or 20" vegan cheese, pepperoni, jalepeno and basil pizza! Along with some vegan cheesy bread! They are always so delicious but the prices for the extra toppings are wild because the toppings are SCARCE. Tonight I ordered some vegan ranch as well and it's so much different than the other times I've ordered it. It's clumpy and doesn't have the same consistency & color as it usually does. I didn't know what to do so I called them and the lady on the phone didn't know what it was either & asked what I wanted and I just asked for a refund. There was another time a few months ago where I purchased a 2L soda and I didn't get it and forgot to ask them for it. The next time I went back I showed them my receipt and the man said I could get a can. LOL. I am a little disappointed because there's been times where the service is kind of ehh but the pizza is worth it lol. This was probably some of the most unique and most delicious pizza I've ever tried. I left it out over night and even reheated it 2 days later and it was still amazing. I just finished the last two pieces and forgot to take a picture of them!!! Ok so the pizza I had was a white pizza with figs, pineapple, prosciutto and goat cheese. It was sooooooooooooooo good, I wanna try to make one at home. I will probably think of it for along time. My husband got pepperoncini, artichoke hearts, slightly spicy sausage and I added kalamata olives to them. And they had some fancy root sodas to try. Super yummy. In town for a conference and not sure where to go for dinner so we quickly checked Yelp and made our way to Hoboken Pie. We walked past quite a few pizza places, but trusted others who reviewed that Hoboken Pie was worth a go. The little shop has no seating so you can either eat at the planters in front or get it to go. We were a couple blocks down the street so ate back at the hotel. On the way back, more than one person mentioned that they saw we got the best pizza in the area. By the time we made it back we couldn't wait for dinner. It was awesome! We got 1/2 Meat Lovers and subbed bacon for salami at the suggestion of the owner. The other half was Mediterranean with really large feta cheese chunks. The crust was really good and had just the right amount of char on it. The crust is thin so cooks quickly and was crisp and chewy in all the right ways. The toppings were generous and fresh.
