Super friendly staff. They were all very enthusiastic and I could tell they genuinely love animals. My dachshunds love visiting this store as well. If you really love your dog you know rawhides are not the best option. At Hollywood Feed they have a variety of choices. The pig ears are a good, clean, healthy snack. Although they have multiple flavors such as strawberry, blueberry, and cherry I would stick to the regular ones or vanilla to prevent your dogs teeth from staining. I also like getting the bully sticks and they even offer to saw it into smaller sizes for smaller breeds. They carry a whole wall full of toys including Kong and Planet Dog as well. Few more isles of various dog foods, treats,dog crate mats, dog beds, blankets, kennels, leashes, shampoos, pretty much everything you could possibly need for your dog they carry. The self washing station is convenient; however, they also provide dog grooming services. A cute little corner is also dedicated to the humans with cute little knick knacks. Notebooks, kitchen towels, wall decor, and pillows just to name a few. Fun little store to take your pet on a little outing to grab some treats and toys. read more

Update!!! Was contacted by multiple managers, local and regional. The groomer, Judy, was exceptionally kind in fixing the cut today free of charge. And she was diligent until I was completely satisfied. Very impressed with their response to this review! Original review: While service was fine and friendly, and we'd been here once before for our older bichon's hair once. But my new puppy's first hair cut didn't turn out so cute! Our regular groomer at the Hollywood feed on Knight was booked for a while, so we scheduled our new puppy's first cut here. He's a bichon-poodle mix, and I asked for a teddy bear cut. The man at the front counter said, "oh so you want to take some length off?" To which I replied, "yes that would be perfect!" I told him that we are about to move to Chicago, so a few weeks with less brushing would be great. Come to pick him up, and the cut looks uneven and even splotchy in some areas. His head and ear hair is a good 3/4 of an inch longer than the rest of his body, so he kind of looks like a lion. And the base of his tail is cut unevenly. When they handed him to me, they said, "we left some length on him for you so he won't be cold in Chicago!" While I'm glad they remembered our conversation from the morning, a) It's not cold in Chicago right now. It's August. B) i didn't ask for length on the dog. Why did they take the liberty of deciding this for me? I didn't want to make a fuss, so I paid (got a discount I believe because this was his first time! Which was nice. Hence the 2 stars and not 1, but I guess you get what you pay for) and left. I called our regular groomer on Knight and begged for them to fix it this week, and they said they will try. After my beloved groomer closed just down the street, I had several bad experiences trying to find a replacement. Thankfully these lovely people have given me hope for my pups and their grooming needs! They were so kind, transparent and professional when I dropped the dogs off. They even let me bring them in last minute after another groomer messed up! I felt so comfortable leaving my two dogs, even with one of them having major anxiety issues. They both looked so cute and exactly how I asked for them to be cut. They also gave a first time discount! I can't wait to go back and shop around their stocked shop, too! I can't remember the gentlemen who helped us here but he was SO nice, very knowledgeable and just had so much great advice. The store is beautiful and filled with unbelievable products that are good for our dogs. We felt so welcome, so informed and it was so nice to hear about the store what they stood for and that they genuinely seemed interested in our dogs and wanted to know what kinds we had and if we had any concerns. They carried the type of dog food we already feed our pups and they do have a loyalty program if you buy 10 or 11 bags of food, you get the next one free I believe. While I wasn't greeted right away, that's the only issue I had. So let's get that out of the way! The layout of this store is super interesting. There are products pretty much floor to ceiling, but not your typical pet store items. I came in to quickly find a small gift for a corgi in PA that my corgi and I were paired with for Valentines. A woman made several suggestions and then discussed with me their food plans and stuff like that, it was really cool! They have a ton of treats that are healthy and safe for your pooch, which I'm all about! While probably a little more expensive than your average petco, this place was awesome. I stopped by this place on the way home one day, scouting out their selection of pet supplies. I must have gone the very first week they were open, because there were about 5 people who immediately flew to me like bugs to a streetlight, asking if I needed any help (many of them looking like customers themselves). That was kind of overwhelming. I felt pressured to buy something, BUT I understood their excitement and eagerness to help every customer, so I can overlook that. Second time I went, perfect service. Laid back, but very helpful, less like an adolescent pit bull and more like a wise golden retriever (...Anyone?!) Anyway, they only carry cat and dog items, but their selection is quite expansive within those two species. I believe this is their only location in Texas. Give em a shot! I genuinely enjoy shopping at this store! I recently stopped in for our monthly bag of food and Brian was very helpful. He helped me by carrying the food inside the store AND out to my car - great for someone recovering from surgery! I've found that staff at this location is always friendly and helpful, the prices for grain-free food are very competitive and someone always helps me out to my car. We use the loyalty card and have "earned" our free bag of food several times, which is always a nice treat! I've purchased pig ears (sound terrible but the dogs love them) and a few high-quality toys as well as our monthly big bag of food. The toys are well made and stand up to tough hunting-dog chewing. They have a wide range (maybe not "PetSmart" range, but still wide) of all the things your pet will need, and the staff KNOWS their product lines! I've been very conscious of what food and treats I feed my little buddy and never have an issue with anything sold in their stores. Second, let's talk staff. The staff is SUPER-friendly and always helpful with suggestions when you're stuck for ideas -- whether in bedding, food, supplements, or accessories. Again, they know their product lines and are right there to help you. Third, let's talk store. I never feel "lost" here as the store sizes are always manageable, not overwhelming. And the atmosphere is highly inviting, which I've experienced before, but only in places who were QUITE proud of their product pricing -- not a chain like this. So yes, I go back to my original assessment, these guys are for pets what Trader Joe's is to us humans -- just the right mix of great products, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere. read more

If I could rate them a ZERO I would but I have to give them at least one star. Had a harassing and condescending employee call my client telling her that my client would have to groom the dogs before coming in to be groomed. What's wrong with this picture? Isn't that why someone pays for the service? It's unprofessional and they have just lost a paying customer due to the dog groomer's ego about being a "dog groomer. What happened to the customer is always right? Why would somebody groom their dogs before they go and pay for their dogs to be groomed? The groomers are weird and unprofessional, even though the exterior of the store looks enticing. Does not make sense and highly do not recommend Hollywood feed. read more

I took my 18 week old puppy to Hollywood Feed on Lovers for his very first grooming and I couldn't be happier. The staff was very kind when I first arrived and put my puppy at ease right away. Judy did a fantastic job; and my puppy was happy and playful when I came to pick him up. I have taken my Pomeranians here twice and been disappointed both times. The first time I blamed myself for not being specific enough about the shape and sculpt. The second time I was very specific about what I wanted, because I did not want to pay $50-60 per dog for just a bath. Both haircuts were terrible. I told that to the young man at the register that brought them out. He gave me the "Maybe they will look better next time." Since when is that acceptable? I told him to tell the manager, but nobody ever contacted to make it right. I can bathe my dogs. They are there for a nice haircut. The faces were too short, the bodies were long and the legs were patchy. I tried to fix them the best I could with scissors when we got home. HF is so convenient I am really sad they did such a poor job. read more
