Loved the Filipino Hawaiian concept of this new coffee shop! Their drink and food menu were very enticing so we came all the way out here to start our day in the city with some breakfast. They have some seasonal specials listed at the counter, so make sure to look at those before you fully decide on a drink. I picked the Bahay Breeze, which was a lilikoi matcha. It was refreshing and definitely more enjoyable once you mix it all together so that the lilikoi isn't stuck at the bottom. The highlight of this visit was absolutely the food! We had the breakfast burrito called the Frisco Shorty and that was really delicious with the tater tots in it. I wouldn't say there was anything super special about it, but it was cooked really well and just tasted fulfilling. The Gold Coast Brekkie was something I'd come back for. There was something about the sauce on there which seemed like tomato based and it gave a nice little kick. The bread was toasted perfectly too!
Iced Manila Sky -- 12oz | $7.50 including tax I was intrigued by the Manila Sky and its ube + coffee combination, but the flavor ended up being more subtle than I expected. The ube is definitely there, but the coffee comes through as well. I was hoping for something creamier and more distinctly ube-forward, so this one didn't quite hit the mark for me. There was also a generous amount of ice, which unfortunately left the drink a bit watered down toward the end. On the bright side, service was quick! My drink was ready in under 10 minutes after ordering. The cafe itself has a really nice, laid-back vibe, especially on a sunny day in the Outer Richmond. There's plenty of seating and a lively crowd, making it a pleasant spot to hang out. One thing to note for laptop workers: I didn't see any easily accessible power outlets, so come fully charged if you're planning to work here. Overall: Cool atmosphere and fast service, but the Manila Sky wasn't quite the creamy, ube-forward drink I was hoping for.
Have had this place saved for a while and finally stopped by, but we didn't love it. I ordered the spaniard and my friend ordered the kona gold. The spaniard wasn't bad, but wasn't super strong. My friend's kona gold was really coconut flavored and there was no coffee taste at all. Not sure if we'd stop in again.
I met up with some friends at Hologram for a late morning coffee, and this was the place to be on a Saturday morning! My friend got there a little early to snag us a table, which we were grateful for since the cafe was abuzz. The coffee menu is short and features a handful of in-house specialties, including the viral ube latte (Manila Sky). I ended up ordering the Shakerado, Hologram's take on a cold brew latte with brown sugar. The Shakerado was sweet and refreshing, although I wouldn't say it was a standout. I was hoping for stronger coffee and less ice for the price. I enjoyed the relaxed, welcoming vibes of the cafe and think this would be a great place to meet friends for coffee before a Lands End hike.
Newly opened coffee shop on Clement St, parking was hard to find if you're driving. Tried the Frisco Shorty, which is basically a breakfast burrito, but what stands out is the tater tots inside that were still crispy, and the house made sauce that brought everything together. Manila Sky was really good, the ube cold foam was not too sweet and complemented well with the espresso mixed in milk. The Kona Gold was not bad, considering I'm not a huge fan of shredded coconut. Only a few tables inside, so not a place to study or get work done, it's more of a grab and go place.
Love their menu items. It's small enough where you're not overwhelmed and you can try everything after just a few visits! As a Filipino born and raised on the island of Guam, I love their Ube Latte (Manila Sky) and their Da Kine Plate. I love that they serve Portuguese sausage and rice! The price is decent too. It's delicious and filling! Ube Latte is super creamy and flavorful, but might be too sweet if you're not into sweet drinks. I've also had their Seniorita Bread, Gold Coast Brekkie, and Frisco Shorty. All super tasty! I liked the breakfast burrito over the sandwhich but wish it was bigger! Definitely come and try this spot! Vibes are great and food and drinks are delish! Support small local businesses
So many establishments have come and gone from this location, but I honestly think Hologram might be the one that's here to stay. What we ordered: -Manila Sky Iced Latte (basically an ube iced latte) -Brown Sugar Shakerato (similar to a brown sugar shaken espresso) -Fries DRINKS: 7/10 The crafted latte drinks were great on the first sip. The Manila Sky definitely delivered on the ube flavor, which I appreciated because a lot of coffee shops don't execute ube well and end up being too subtle. Hologram did a great job with that. That said, once you mix the whole drink, my friend and I both felt like the flavor got diluted. It ended up tasting more like a watered-down ube latte. The Brown Sugar Shakerato was a bit underwhelming. I'd probably ask for a little extra sweetness if I ordered it again. FOOD: 8/10 We shared an order of fries, and they were honestly fried to perfection. They reminded me a lot of McDonald's fries, which is a compliment in my book. SERVICE: 8/10 Service was chill. The cashier was friendly and charismatic, and the bar staff worked quickly even with the crowd. AMBIANCE: 8/10 Definitely a vibe inside. I appreciated the subtle touches of Filipino culture paired with the modern artwork--it made the space feel unique without being overdone. Despite the long lines and all the hype, I came in with pretty high expectations, so the overall experience ended up feeling a little underwhelming. That said, I'd definitely like to give Hologram another try!
Had the opportunity to visit Hologram on Sunday. My friend and I came at around 11:30am, and there was no line when we arrived. I ordered an iced Manila Sky with oat milk and half sweet and a Frisco Shorty Burrito. I love ube so I was looking forward to the Manila Sky. The ube cream top was good but after mixing the drink, the ube flavor wasn't as prominent as I would've liked. I think the sweetness would've been fine at regular so I wished I hadn't adjusted it. The Frisco Shorty was yummy. A breakfast burrito needs to have some form of potato so this one checked that off with the tots. I also really liked the layer of cheese. The tortilla was crisp and warm. Overall, it was a solid breakfast burrito. We had a good time here. We sat at the table next to the window and saw a lot of cute dogs pass by. The shop is bright and felt welcoming. I definitely would want to come back in the future.
I've been wanting to try Hologram for most of this year and finally made it for a weekend friends' hang. I was the first of my friends to arrive and promptly ordered a Manila Sky latte with oat milk upon arrival. After receiving the drink, I gave it a good stir. The first couple of sips had a strong ube flavor, but the flavor was muted in the rest of the drink and had merely a slight hint of coconut. Overall, I thought it was pretty good but not amazing. Still, I'm glad I gave it a try and think it's certainly found its place in the SF café scene.

There are a few places where you end up finding something which is not expected and that's when you realize you have enter a unique space in the outer space of the planet San Francisco. There is a place in the outer Richmond which serves interesting coffee and bites and it feels like you stepped into a past lifetime. It is located in the Outer Richmond in SF and it's called Hologram. On a Summer stroll through San Francisco I landed at Hologram. Inside you will see some interesting art and feels like I stepped into sometime in the past . It's a Filipino theme cafe. You can also enjoy a Senorita inside. They have lots of coffee available. I got the purple colored Ube cream top with milk espresso topped with macadamia nut called the Manila Sky. It was tasty and not too sweet. This is a good place to enjoy a drink in the city streets of San Francisco in the outer Richmond District. A place where you can enjoy a macchiato and "latte"and they serve the purple yam drink called the Manila Sky topped with "Ube "they have a cool art on "display"and a picture of the I- Hotel which was located in Chinatown not a hotel by the "Bay" A cafe with art is my "jam" and the cool Don Juan de la Matcha is who "I am"enjoy going a purple drink at "Hologram"while watching the social media food circuit circus on Facebook, X, TikTok, and "Instagram"
4.5/5 I've had my eye on this place for awhile because it's only a few blocks away from home. I was hesitant due to other reviews and decided to take a leap of faith on my own. The space is really cool once you walk in. I felt like I was somewhere else and not in the Richmond District. Very chill and cozy. It's slightly loud, but not to the point where you couldn't work or hold a conversation with someone. There's a decent amount of seating for a small space. Service was awesome. The staff member at the register was helpful in giving his opinion on whether or not my drink should be sweetened and if I should go with the burrito or sandwich. The other staff member who gave me my food later was also very friendly. I love their vibe of making people feel welcomed. I got the Manila Sky with matcha. After discussing with the staff member about sweetness, I got an unsweetened matcha. This drink was okay. The matcha was okay. The ube cream didn't have too much flavor, like the ube was so subtle that I had to try and find it. I was expecting the cream top to have more flavor and sweetness but it actually wasn't sweet making the entire drink taste slightly bland. I want to go back to get this drink sweetened as well as try other drinks to compare. As a side note, I'm very sensitive to sweetness so when I say it's not sweet, there's like no sweetness at all. The star of the show was the Frisco Shorty aka the breakfast burrito. I normally get sausage breakfast burritos so getting bacon is out of the ordinary for me, but this burrito was so delicious. The simplicity and execution of every part just makes it so great. The bacon inside was pretty crispy. The hot sauce that comes with it is a perfect pairing. I normally don't like hot sauce, but the feeling of being adventurous today ended up in my favor. I also want to add that it was still good after taking it to go and eating it at home. The only con was that it leaked a decent amount of grease, but I'm assuming it was from the cheese and not the bacon. Overall, I really like this place and I hope they continue to improve. I'll definitely come back and continue to support.
There's been so many new coffee/matcha cafes popping up in the Richmond area so I was excited to try Hologram. We stopped by in the afternoon shortly before closing and luckily there wasn't a line when we went. We were originally just going to try one drink but had to get the Manila Sky and Kona Gold to try. I really enjoyed the Manila Sky which I got with oat milk. The ube cream top was rich and luscious without being too sweet and the latte itself is great with the espresso flavor coming through. The cold brew was a little watered down for my taste but I enjoyed the flavor of the coconut foam. I did think the coconut foam could have been richer like the ube foam but overall it was nice for a lighter drink. We were super tempted by the breakfast sandwich and burrito after seeing a ton of people in the cafe eating them. Unfortunately we just had lunch but will need to come by just to try the food!
New cafe on Clement street. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and there was a short line. I ordered the Manila Sky (UBE CREAM TOP, MILK, ESPRESSO, TOPPED W/ MACADAMIA NUT) as a matcha latte, matcha to milk ratio was just right. Staff were nice and friendly. Plenty of seating inside and outside. I've heard people raving about the food, need to try it next time!
Always excited about a unique cafe like this one! Conveniently located on Clement, but away from the hustle and bustle, along with an eclectic atmosphere of wood with bright orange accents, navy blue chairs, and plants made it an enjoyable experience just to spend time in the cafe. There were also a wide variety of unique drinks and food to choose from. I ended up getting the Bahay Breeze, or lilikoi matcha, which wasn't too sweet. I can't say it was my favorite matcha (perhaps personal preference, but this matcha was grassier than I prefer, and the milk less creamy), but the service was attentive and the experience was great. Me and my partner have been wanting to try this place for awhile. We were both intrigued by the Manilla Sky however flavor was very mild. We wished it had more ube flavor. We felt underwhelmed and not sure if we'd come back. read more
Hologram Coffee has been on my list for a while and I finally made it in on a Saturday late morning and while it was a fun experience, I left feeling a little lukewarm about it. First things first -- the staff was super friendly and honestly very fashionable. The vibe they bring to the space is a whole look and I appreciated it. The space itself is cute, but it is small with only a few tables, so just know going in that this is more of a grab and go situation than a sit and work kind of spot - unless you get lucky! On a busy Saturday morning it was packed, which speaks to the hype, but don't plan on camping out here. We got the Manila Sky and the Kona Gold and both were enjoyable but left us wanting a little more. The biggest culprit was the ice. Both drinks were packed with it, which ended up watering down the flavor as we worked our way through them. With specialty drinks at this price point, you want every sip to hit the same as the first one. The Kona Gold was also a miss for us in one specific way which was that the coconut topping was a great touch but the coconut flavor itself didn't carry through the drink the way we were hoping. We wanted more of that coconut punch and it just wasn't there. Cute spot worth checking out for the aesthetic and the energy, but I'd probably ask for light ice next time and see if that changes things. read more

I've only visited once so far, but overall I had a positive experience and am excited to come back and try more of the menu especially since Hologram is owned by Snowbird Coffee! I ordered an iced vanilla latte with almond milk, which came out quickly. It was good, though not quite as flavorful as I was expecting given that Hologram uses Snowbird beans, which I typically love. That said, it may have just been my drink choice, and I'm looking forward to trying some other options. I also ordered the breakfast sandwich. The bacon was much fattier than I personally prefer, so I ended up not eating most of it. I know that's a matter of taste and some people may enjoy it more than I did. What stood out most was the space itself. The aesthetic and vibe are vibrant, welcoming, and a great addition to the neighborhood. I'm really happy to have a coffee shop like this so close by and will definitely be back to explore more of the menu very soon! read more
I had the Kona Gold Coffee espresso with sweet cream on top, and it was absolutely delicious! The sweet cream paired perfectly with the rich espresso, making it smooth and flavorful. I also tried their new burger, and it was easily the highlight of my meal. The beef patty was thin and crispy, giving it a wonderful crunch and flavor. The fresh veggies and sauce blended together perfectly, creating a balanced and satisfying bite. I even asked for ketchup just in case, but honestly, it didn't need any, the burger was already perfect as it was. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and they made my drink in seconds even when they were busy. Great food, great coffee, and excellent service every time. Highly recommend! read more
No line when we went before 11am on a Saturday! So dog friendly too probably the best ube foam drink I've had (not too sweet) and the brekkie sandwich and breakfast burrito were actually amazing. A lot of hype has been around another recently opened Japanese/Filipino coffee house with vinyl in the Inner Richmond lately which is great that recognition is being given to diverse voices and cultures in the coffee space. But have you heard or been to Hologram in the Outer Richmond? It's got a lot of heart and as of right now, a little less crowded. Hologram is a newly opened neighborhood cafe with amazing matcha and other drinks. Low key, chill, feels both unique and personal with interesting wall art and space for those that want to work or relax there while sipping matcha (or other caffeinated drinks). They also serves Senorita bread at $5 for a bag of 3. Although we haven't tried everything yet, I can vouch that their Malama Matcha (iced with oat milk) is one of my favorite sips as of late. Smooth, creamy, slightly sweet without any added sugar. Affiliated with snowbird coffee in the Sunset. This is another spot that was trending on IG recently and I think it's one of the better new spots. There's quite a bit of seating inside and a couple outside. They give you a number for your order so be on the lookout when it's busy to get your food/beverage. I got the Manila sky latte with ube. Instantly got my taro coffee fix. It was busy but the quality didn't dip. We got the plate, sandwich, and burrito to try. All relatively the same price and all really good. Just go with what you vibing for. You gona chill for a bit, get the kine plate and crack the egg over the rice. On the go - get one of the others. They come in nice compact wrapping which I liked. Also saw some big ass spoon and fork on the wall as decorations, and instantly figured this spot was Filipino owned lmao. UY PILLIPPINES Honestly I probably wouldn't get the kine plate again cuz the value isn't there for me cuz I feel like I could make it at home. But the sandwich and burrito, I'm too lazy to compile that and would pay $13 for it. They also got senorita bread which I highly recommend. It's sweet Spanish bread. You can get it south city for $15 for like 2 dozen but you're essentially paying for the convenience here. So the option is nice and highly recommend that you dip it in your hot coffee if you're into that. Maybe I'm just too jungle Asian but that's what we do lol read more

Señorita bread without blindly driving through the thiccc rice cooker steam aka fog? It's easier for me to get to Ling Nam/Starbread in Daly City but where else can you get señorita bread AND a matcha latte in one place?! Only at Hologram. And, any business that names a menu item after "Frisco" has my support! Opening earlier this month, Hologram is a new neighborhood cafe from the husband-wife team of Snowbird Coffee in Inner Sunset. Fun fact: the co-owner is a filmmaker who grew up in Daly City and created a short film ("Cherry") about an R&B artist coming up in Daly City during the 90s. *Pop that Tommy Hilfiger collar* AND *Rev up the rice rocket* M E N U Drinks: Tea, coffee, espresso, matcha, and more. Oat or almond milk +$1. Food: Señorita bread, breakfast sandwich, breakfast burrito, and silog (Portuguese sausage). More to come. D R I N K * Manila Sky: Matcha Latte w/ ube foam ($7) - Sub oat milk +$1 Beautiful marbled color but it tasted like iced milk with a sweet, earthy flavor from the ube. No matcha flavor at all so sadly, I tossed it. F O O D * Señorita Bread (3 pc-$5) Served hot, the buttery bread rolls had a crisp, sugary bottom with a super soft, airy hollow center. Like crack. I forgot to ask if they bake it in-house or if it's from Ling Nam/Starbread. * Frisco Shorty: Breakfast Burrito w/ eggs, bacon, tots, cheese ($13.50) Delicious, savory mix of fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, melty cheese, crunchy tots, and creamy garlic aioli...all wrapped up in a slightly warmed tortilla (wish it was toasted more). Served with a side of cholula hot sauce (?). I appreciate the smaller portion, it's easy to eat on the go without feeling weighed down after. That said, with other cafés charging around $10-$11 for something similar, the price here is steep for what you get. S E R V I C E Friendly and welcoming. If they're busy, anticipate a bit of a wait for your order. A M B I A N C E Love the chill and moody retro vibes with pop art, merch corner, and plants. Not trendy just to be trendy. There's about eight tables inside and two tables outside. Overall, Hologram is a great community space for those who live in the Central/Outer Richmond area. A cute clean cafe west of 25th Avenue just opened and it's a nice place to meet a friend or go solo. I ordered a Brekkie sandwich, which contains fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy bacon on fresh white toast, as well as a hot matcha with oat milk. Service is friendly and the vibe is chilled. There's a couple of nice artwork in a comfortable setting, Seems like a lot of neighboring locals have already become regulars here to grab a bite or get coffee. For a place that's opened for only a few weeks, Hologram is off to a smooth start! read more
This coffee shop was crowded on a weekday morning. While there were people working and having sit down conversations in the shop, there was a good amount of nonstop customers coming in and out of the shop. I tried their Malama Matcha, which tasted of quality and had a good blend of matcha and milk. My friends tried their Manila Sky: one tried a coffee version and one tried a matcha version. The coffee version was my personal favorite as I could taste the richness of the coffee, and it was also not too sweet. read more

This is a cute neighborhood coffee spot. I ordered the Manila sky, my friend ordered the Spaniard, and we shared the Seniorita breads. Manila sky had a ube cream top and there were bits of macadamia nuts but I thought they were bits of cookie. Haha. Regardless I enjoyed it. It didn't seem too strong of a coffee and it wasn't overly sweet. The Senorita breads came in a bag of 3 and they were yummy. Cashier was very nice. If I'm ever in that neighborhood I'd go again to try their breakfast food too. read more
Very cute new cafe for coffee and matcha. The customer service was great. But I am hoping for some improvements. First thing I noticed was that there were no descriptions available for the drinks on the main menu. Many of their drink items are not straightforward by name. There is a small menu with descriptions on the table of the register but that is only visible when you're already at the cashier, which is not ideal. Second thing is the matcha. We got one with and without coconut cream. The matcha had a very faint taste. Honestly it tasted more like water to me and I didn't enjoy the drink. Cute cafe with nostalgic vibes. It was already a little busy at 8:15am on a weekend. The Frisco Shorty (breakfast burrito) and Gold Coast Brekkie were both really good, as was the americano. We also tried the Manila Sky, but unfortunately I couldn't taste the matcha at all and the ube flavor was also very light. We ended up tossing it since it just tasted like iced milk. Service was friendly, and there is plenty of seating inside & outside. It was relatively easy to find street parking nearby. I'd go back again for the food and coffee but skip the matcha. read more
Cute new Filipino mixed coffee shop in the Richmond district! Checked it out on a Wednesday afternoon with no line! Plenty of room to sit and yap or study. I was able to order the Manila sky latte version instead of matcha. Ube cold foam on top wasn't too sweet and paired well with the latte. Would recommend if you like ube and latte ! +$1 for milk alternatives. Cashier was super friendly and service was quick. They have a little cute merch area inside. read more

This was our second visit to Hologram. The first time was during their soft opening. While we didn't particularly enjoy the coffee on that visit, we loved the breakfast burrito. This time, we came back specifically for the breakfast burrito and to see if our palates had changed when it came to their coffee. The burrito was just as good as we remembered. It has simple, straightforward ingredients--eggs, bacon, cheese, and tater tots--but everything comes together so deliciously. We also gave the coffee another shot and ordered the Manila Sky and the Kona Gold once again. Unfortunately, they still weren't for us. Maybe I'll try something different next time. Overall, Hologram is a nice neighborhood coffee shop with a welcoming atmosphere. While the coffee may not be my favorite, I'd happily come back for the breakfast burrito alone. read more
A soft opening is basically a dress rehearsal with real customers. It lets the business test their products, find their flow, identify bottlenecks, train staff, collect feedback, and generate buzz before the official opening. We shouldn't expect things to be perfect in these circumstances. It's not a grand opening. With that being said, I think Hologram is doing a great job already. I was lucky enough to come in at a time on Easter Sunday before a large crowd came through, so I didn't wait that long. The owners also own Snowbird, so I already expected that the coffee was going to be good. And it was. They ran out of matcha for the Manila Sky, so it was a latte instead. No complaints about that, they serve great coffee. Despite the addition of ube cream and macapuno cream in the Manila Sky and Kona Gold, these flavors complement the drinks very well without being overpowering so that the flavor of coffee itself is prioritized, instead of being sugar-forward. The food was our breakfast for the day. Both the Gold Coast brekkie and Frisco shorty hit the spot. I remember telling my partner that either of these could go really well with some longganisa. Lo and behold, a few days later, they posted some new items--silog with Portuguese sausage!!! And Senorita bread. So I guess we have to come back again to try these too! The staff & owners are very friendly and I love the aesthetics. I do expect there to be a wait next time, but I see that as a good sign. To me that means that people are excited to try a new place or that they're returning customers--like we will be in the next few days. read more
Do not come here unless you want to say this place is perfect when it's not. Instead of addressing issues the owner will ridicule and change your experience. I rarely if ever write a negative review but this owner is by far gaslighting and honestly there is a better place nearby to spend your $25 for coffee and a burrito. The owner is too emotional and unprofessional. Don't support any of their businesses. read more

Filipino inspired drinks (ube + matcha drink was very flavorful) and their breakfast menu is delicious. the sandwich had the perfect sauce to egg / bacon ratio and their bread was a bit more brioche? like with a hint of sweetness!! think new favorite spot in the city?! read more
This was one of the rare times I tried a new trendy place, probably because I heard it had Filipino inspired dishes and drinks. If I went back I'd try the coconut drink instead of the ube one because there wasn't any ube flavor, it was too subtle. Saw they have Portuguese sausage in the rice plate, why not serve longanisa? I was also hoping to see some fun pastries to go with my coffee, they just had the senorita bread. I did enjoy he breakfast sandwich, it was tasty and the bread was fresh. Not sure why it came with ketchup because the sauce inside was already tomato based. Next time I'll get the coconut coffee drink and the senorita bread. The DJ was playing some good mixes. I've been wanting to try Hologram out for a while and I'm glad I was able to stop by! There was a line out the door when I came around 1pm on a Sunday. I got the Manila Sky--I think previously this drink was made with matcha instead of espresso, and so I was a bit disappointed that the menu item changed, but it still tasted good! I wanted to get their senorita bread too, but they had sold out. I'll have to come back to try their other offerings! Excited to have a great cafe addition to the neighborhood. read more

The drinks were colorful and just as tasty as they looked. The Kona Gold was my favorite, light, refreshing, and with the perfect hint of coconut. The Manila Sky had just the right amount of ube flavor without being overpowering. The decorations are cute and kitschy, and I enjoyed browsing the gift shop filled with nostalgic items. The whole place has a fun, welcoming vibe. There were so many drinks and bites on the menu that I already want to go back and try more! read more
Was excited to hear about this new coffee shop in the Richmond, just a few blocks down from where I live. Was crowded with people working inside - it's a nice atmosphere with multiple tables to sit at/work. Got to try the Kona gold and Manila sky drinks which sounded very nice. Unfortunately, they were far from meeting expectations. Was disappointed especially with the price point. The coffee wasn't too strong (which cold brew should be) and the flavor of the cream tops were very faint, almost like nothing. I'll come back to try the food which seems more promising. read more

Saw this new cafe popping off on socials and thought it looked so fun and wanted to try! We came right before it closed and there were still plenty of people inside. The ambiance was very cute and the menu looked so fun since it's filipino inspired drinks. I wish the menus were a bit more descriptive since I was a bit unclear what the different drink items were until we got to the front. I'm pretty picky with my matcha, but the photos and reviews on social media looked promising, so I got a matcha latte. It tasted very light to me, almost like sweetened milk (I also got it half sweet). I was a bit disappointed, but maybe that is personal preference. I do think the cafe is cute and the breakfast and other coffees sound interesting, so I would come back to try those items instead. read more
