    Sando and drink menu.

Another matcha spot that came back from resilience, Tadaima in Inner Sunset. Like the one in Mission District and Cow Hollow, same matcha drinks, same neatly prepped onigiris, and same sando variations. There's even a 50g matcha green tea powder pouches waiting for anyone to have. And of course, I never grew tired of its café space and vibe. The iced Straight Matcha with sugar never fails to please me even when it's never on their menu option. As for the mixed fruit sando, I received an assessment from my brother after he tried the whole thing. He claimed that the milk bread from Tokyo Central in Emeryville tasted way better than the milk bread of Tadaima. Of course, everyone has different views when it comes to their taste buds. All in all, I be more than welcome to come back once more to order a sando straight from the specials.

I've wanted to try this place for sooo long. Found a parking lot nearby and it was a 5 min walk. I came here before it opened and there was only a small line. Onigiri is also freshly made. It's actually pretty spacious inside with seating. Service was good and quick. Iced Matcha Latte: thin drink but still a really strong matcha taste. Got their default sweetness with less ice and it was a perfect sweet. I prefer bittersweet matchas and this was perfect.

Came here on a Sunday & there was a short line outside. It was well worth it! We ordered an iced matcha with strawberry & an iced matcha with salted cream. We also ended up trying a tuna onigiri & a yuzu salmon onigiri (which they were running low on, and making fresh). The matcha drinks were only $7.50 and $7.75, which seemed pretty reasonable because the matcha was fantastic. There was some seating inside & the place overall has good vibes. I'd come back!

newest and most spacious (I think?) branch! I love that they lay out all the onigiris up front so you can grab and go, minimizing the cashier line. the matcha (Matchaful) they use is pretty creamy, light umami, and has only a slight bitterness. I usually get a matcha with flavored cream top but this time I ordered the plain matcha latte ($6.75) I could taste the matcha and it wasn't grainy but it was a little too sweet (default sweetness), I'd ask for less sweet next time. also, they sell merch here! their receipt actually said I could get a free tote with a review but they said they ran out and didn't seem to want to give away the display ones :"(

It's worth the hype. I'm still dreaming about my visit here a month ago and am planning my next trip here. It was theeee perfect place to meet with a friend. There was a line already at opening and it wasn't a surprise! I loved being able to look in and watch them make the onigiris and how delicious it all looked. My favorite onigiri is the Shiso Salmon. Their matcha is strong too I had the salted cheese topping. I have yet to try their Sandos but only hear good things. There's seating inside. Cute to meet up for a date or catch up session! Looking forward to my return!

The chicken karaage sandwich was my favorite! I would definitely come back for this. It was very lightly fried and the milk bread they use was so light and fluffy. I tasted 1/4 of the fish sandwich which was my second favorite. The tonkatsu pork with pineapple I would probably skip next time. The pork was a little on the dry side. Though, the pineapple was sweet. I took some onigiri out to try later, but haven't tasted them yet. The ordering system was quick and we waited maybe 10-15 minutes for the sandwiches to be made fresh. They have some small tables to sit and eat at and there is a clean and beautiful bathroom. The green color interior of the restaurant is very soothing. I would say this place is a little better than Yutori in Palo Alto in terms of their sandwiches.

Came here for their jasmine tea with matcha cream as I heard someone shouting "there's no line!" at 3PM on a weekday, so I knew I had to come by and try it. Interior was small with very few seats. Seating space was probably as large as the ordering area. Went to eat my solid meal and then came by again, still no line! It was quick to order and get my drink (I was the only guest ordering lol). It was pretty good, but I'm not sure I'd wait in a line for it. But if there's no line and I'm interested in some matcha, I'd definitely stop by again.

Out of all the matcha in the city, Tadaima is definitely in my top 3! I was super stoked to hear that a location opened up in one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city! As you know, parking in the city is a complete nightmare, and wanted to give you a heads up, this is right smack next to GGP so this is no exception. This location is very cute and has more seating than the other locations (for example the original one on the mission.) Over here, you can get a table to enjoy your drinks with your friends on a slower day. On weekends, the line even tho can be long, the wait honestly isn't too bad. I believe what sets Taidama apart from its competitors is the quality of its matcha, its ratio, and the balance between having fun flavors without overwhelming the natural grassy notes of the tea. As a bonus, I really appreciate their selection of onigiri and sando so you can get your caffeine fix with some lunch. I would recommend you checking out Taidama out, especially for their strawberry matcha. It might be my favorite in the city, creamy, not too sweet, deep strawberry flavor.

    mushroom pickled daikon onigiri

Came here mid-afternoon for a snack. I ordered a hot hojicha latte, a shiso beef onigiri, and a mushroom pickled daikon onigiri. Both onigiris were super yummy-lots of filling inside and very flavorful. I ended up feeling like I ate a meal instead of a snack, but no regrets because they were so delicious. The cashier recommended heating up the onigiri for 30 seconds. Hojicha was also quality, but pretty strong, and had a slight bitter flare to it. Store is pretty clean but limited seating. Parking can be difficult in the area, so if you are driving, I'd recommend bringing some coins/credit card to pay for a metered space. Prices are a little high but good quality. Hope to try a fruit sando next time!

Got lucky at noon on a weekday, swung by on my lunch break and didn't see a line, even got a seat inside to quickly engulf my food. You can certainly bring it a few steps down to the park as well. Chicken karaage sando - perfectly crisp, juicy chicken, bread was ok. Very easy to eat, came out fast if you're looking for something quick but fresh! Salmon shiso onigiri - lovely snack, packed with flavor. Good portion of salmon, whole shiso leaf, more veggies mixed in the seasoned rice ball. I loved everything in this one. Strawberry matcha - great matcha flavor even without adding extra shot. Strawberry cream was a treat, and they offered half/less sweet which was perfect. Am interested to try the tonkatsu pineapple sando and pistachio matcha! Lots of other great onigiris and drinks and specials too. The fruit sandos look beautiful.

Yuzu Salmon Onigiri - Yum! 4/9/26

I really don't want you to go to Tadaima Inner Sunset...because it's super popular already! The onigiri is incredibly fresh and delicious. You see them making them in the front by the window. Fascinating to see the staff pressing ingredients into the triangular molds. I love the variety of salmon onigiri (from simple Yuzu to more fancy with some thin omelette covered ones). I've tried the beef and yuzu salmon. Yum! Still I will get to the curry chicken onigiri and other flavors. Let's talk beverages: the matcha lattes are one of the best in San Francisco! I've had both hot & cold with oat milk. The Hojicha lattes..omg..SO good! There is even more at Tadaima: sandwiches(!) both savory and sweet. Customers are gobbling these up. The tonkatsu Sando (savory) and the fruit cream sandos (sweet) look delicious. If possible, don't linger inside the shop. There is only a wall bench with five small tables - it is a small seating area. It's a bit cramped inside when patrons are waiting to pick up drink or food orders. Take the food/drinks out and go to Golden Gate Park - only a half block away. Having Tadaima here in the Inner Sunset adds another jewel in this wonderful gourmet corridor. Food: 5 stars Ambiance: 3 stars Service: 4 stars - polite and prompt

Nice vibe at this Tadaima, where the onigiris are displayed on the counter and you could fill a basket before purchase. I bought a hot almond matcha and my daughter ordered a cold matcha latte strawberry foam, saying it's her 2nd favorite in the city, after Maruwu Seicha. Tbh, I thought my matcha was overpowering. Good service.

Tadaima's third location in the inner sunset. On a Sunday morning at 11:45 am there was a short line. Menu posted on the window outside and inside. Once you walk in the onigiri/spam musubis are on display to choose. Savory and sweet sandwiches/drinks can be ordered from cashier. Not a whole lot of tables and not good for big groups. I liked the yuzu salmon onigiri. A little pricey for the small size but still good. The mixed fruit sando was kinda sweet but good. Next time, I'll just get the strawberry version. Street parking is tough

What we ordered: + San Ten Mori (assorted sashimi) [4/5]: The highlight of our meal was the yuzu wasabi that came with the salmon + amberjack in this set. It was sooo delicious and spicy. The fish were plated beautifully, and the quality was pretty good. + Shungiku Kama Sarada (chrysanthemum greens & duck breast) [6/5 - would recommend]: WOW. I was so pleasantly surprised by how fresh, crunchy, and acidic this salad was. The greens are amazing. On top of that, the duck breast was so tender and delicious-- I just wish the dish came with a few more slices. + Chicken Oyster [4/5]: I really loved how juicy this was. I normally don't like chicken because of how dry it is, but this was a great skewer. I wish the skin was a little less burnt. The chicken was also so thick that while the outside was juicy, the inside was a little drier. + King Trumpet [4/5]: Wow! These looked amazing when they arrived. I thought the flavor was great but the texture was a bit rubbery. + Kama Tama Udon (carbonara) [4.5/5]: Delicious! I couldn't stop eating this udon slathered in amazing thick sauce. + Chiizu Tori Katsu [4/5]: This was sooo good. I wish the cheese ratio was 3x as much, but the flavor and tenderness of the katsu is delicious. Huge props to Rintaro; my Resy reservation was initially cancelled due to an accident in booking, but the staff was so friendly and went above & beyond to help me get my reservation reinstated at a similar time.

The service and overall experience seem less polished than what I remember from earlier years. While it's still a good restaurant and worth visiting, it no longer delivers the exceptional experience that made it one of my favorite spots in San Francisco.
