The staff is super nice and friendly, the interior is so pretty and cute, and most importantly, the drinks and scones are top notch! It's also such a great spot for remote workers. I love the setup and how comfortable it is! Whoever designed this cafe, please open more locations throughout SF, especially in the FiDi area, and on the East Coast too! I absolutely loved the Einspanner. I tried the Hojicha one on Sunday and the Matcha one today, and omg both were SO good! Not too sweet and perfectly balanced. I stopped by around noon on Saturday and surprisingly there was nobody in line. The staff was very friendly and helpful in helping me decide on a drink. I was surprised by how big the space is - there's one area of big communal seating and another area better for solo or small groups where lots of people were working on their laptops. I had the raspberry Matcha latte which was lovely and not too sweet. They said the raspberry jam is homemade, and they give you a good amount of it. The staff are friendly both times I've been here. The space is really interested, the building is located on a corner at the bottom of the hill and they've taken advantage to create a downstairs space for a work and chill area with tables and chairs and upstairs is where they take and make your orders. Matcha Einspanner 3.5/5 - nothing special here. Mid tier matcha for me. I also could've skipped the cream top and do a regular matcha latte. Hojicha Latte 4.5/5 - Actually quite smooth and nice. I had a hojicha era but recently haven't gotten back to it because it is quite earthy but this was clean and actually reminds me of the black matcha at Constance. Blueberry Jam Scone 4.5/5 - such a comfort to eat while warm! I love the small butter slab, reminds me of the butter they stick into butter pineapple bun. I love the thin shell and soft interior but it is a tad too buttery, it gets a little heavy near the end. Beautiful space with plenty of seating for both work and socializing. I think my only complaint would be that the wifi is weak - goes in and out. Their matcha is customizable in terms of sweetness/milk type - I got my less sweet and it really let the matcha flavor come through. It's more on the earthy and bitter side. Their scones are a must! The perfect texture with the outside being crumbly, but the inside feeling soft and fluffy. They also come warmed and with jam+Irish butter, that give it a subtle, but good flavor - you could honestly eat this dry tho! Will be coming back with my friends when they come visit. read more

It was definitely nice to slow down with their freshly baked scones. Moist, crumbly, and warm. The butter melted with the tasty homemade jam. I would say their signature scone is worth the wait and definitely the star of the show. I don't see that line getting shorter on weekends so be prepared and go with patience. Jandi is one of the newest addition to the SF café scene and it is so cute -- already one of my favorites and I've only been once. I got a hot triple matcha latte with almond milk for $7.50 which honestly feels like a great price point for the quality. They use 6g of matcha per cup and the drink sizes are intentionally smaller -- hot drinks come in 8oz and 10oz, iced in 14oz and I actually love this about them. With matcha you want to taste the matcha, not just milk with a hint of green, and the sizing reflects that philosophy perfectly. The matcha itself is platinum ceremonial grade which I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure what that means, but what I can tell you is that it tasted very unique. It wasn't overwhelmingly matcha-forward, more floral and slightly astringent in the most pleasant way. Delicate and refined without being boring. The space is just as impressive as the drinks. This cafe was recommended to me, it's at a good location with pretty easy parking. It's nice to have a new cafe in the Sunset. The cafe has a great open feeling and modern feeling when you walk in. There are small tables, standing counter, as well as communal tables. I expected it to be a small place from the outside but it was pretty big when you walk in. The entrance is on the side of the building. This will be the part where you purchase your drinks and food. The service was good and are friendly. It was busy on the Sunday morning we visited - all tables were taken so we took our order to go. Only one kind of scone - served with their seasonal jam. We ordered one of each - blueberry jam and raspberry jam. They were still warm. Liked the texture of the scone - almost like cornmeal. Happy to have a new cute coffee/matcha shop in the neighborhood! This place is so cute and have plenty of seats to either do work or catch up with friends! I love their scones! They have warm and fresh, with housemade seasonal jams! I've tried their raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry! My favorite is the blackberry but it was seasonal! The scones come out warm, and they add butter and jam in the middle. I ask for less butter since it's a large slab of butter. The cashiers have always been patient and nice when we order. This space is massive and really nice! Art work, upper dining area, large lower area, art work all over. Like their sign says, they sell scone, match, and coffee. I was pretty excited when Jandii opened in my neighborhood but a lil less excited when I kept reading new reviews about how bad the matcha supposedly is. Worse yet, one of my friends came here, and their friend got the matcha and didn't like it. With even a second degree connection dissing the matcha, I postponed coming until a month after opening. Skeptical as I am about the matcha, I ordered the signature oat milk brew on tap to play it safe. It was ready within a couple minutes of ordering, and the drink was quite buttery and creamy with salty notes. At first even after giving it a good stir, it tasted really sweet, but it mellowed out as I drank more and was perfect toward the end. After this good first experience, I've warmed up a bit to trying the matcha, but maybe I'll ease into it and try another coffee or scone first. At any rate, it's amazing having a spacious WiFi café within walkable distance now. I had been seeing Jandii all over online, so I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the Raspberry Matcha Latte and the Matcha Einspanner Latte. I normally don't like fruit paired with matcha, but the raspberry matcha actually surprised me. The raspberry added a light fruity flavor without overpowering the matcha, and the two worked together better than I expected. The Matcha Einspanner Latte was also good, although I was expecting the cream top to be a bit thicker. Instead, it's more on the lighter, liquid side rather than the rich, fluffy cream you usually get with an einspanner. It still complemented the matcha well, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. The café itself is really spacious and has a beautiful interior, making it a great place to study, work, or catch up with friends. The workers were also very helpful when I was trying to decide what to order and were happy to answer my questions. The only downside for me was the price. The drinks are definitely on the expensive side, and after tax my total was almost $9 per drink (the tax alone was around $1.60 or something like that), which is a bit hard to justify. While I enjoyed the drinks, I do think there are other cafés that offer something similar for a little less. I'm glad I tried it because it had been on my list for a while, and I think it's worth visiting at least once, especially if you're looking for a nice place to study. Cute and huge interior but the matcha was not great. The vibes here are nice and the place is incredibly spacious. Lots of people working and chatting on the weekend. There's two levels of seating, lots of natural lighting, and the decor and vibe/branding remind me of Sohn in Dogpatch. It's definitely going to bring lots of traffic to the otherwise quiet-ish area. There is plenty of staff and they are efficient, not to mention helpful and friendly! At this point, they had only been open maybe a couple of weeks? I also went today (Sunday, 7/5) around 11:30AM with my daughter. There was not much of a line. We walked right in. However, the place had plenty of people. Just about every seat was taken. This cafe is unusually spacious. It has tons of natural light and has a very simple, green, clean theme. I absolutely love the iced hojicha einspanner. (Einspanner is a lightly sweetened salted cream)). I ordered it both visits! I also tried the iced matcha einspanner and the iced raspberry matcha. The matcha is delicious. I had to try the signature drink - Jandii oat milk brew on tap. According to the menu, it is "iced espresso, house made salted butter oat milk." I'm a sucker for new cafes, so I had to check this one out despite knowing there'll be lines. I ordered the Matcha Einspanner. The rich, slightly salty cream foam works well with the earthy matcha flavor. It's good, though honestly, I wouldn't wait in line for it. Also, it's wild that +$10 (after tax and tip) for a small matcha is the new norm. Matcha-flation is real and here to stay. That said, they did an amazing job transforming the interior. Pros; * light & airy giving off a minimalist look * an accessible elevator that I actually took down to ground level. Cons: * the front entrance is on 21st Av. You need to climb up the hill. It opened for business this past Tuesday. Ordered- paid at the order counter & provided my name. * the housemade scone. Choice of blackberry or raspberry jam. Boxed to go. Hubby had it at home. Great with the raspberry jam and butter. * hot matcha latte. - I've come to the conclusion I'm not a big fan of matcha. After I got both items I decided I'll drink my latte and bring the scone home for later. The stairs going down were steep. Hence I took the elevator. A staff member assisted me down. Keep your hand on the down button. Once you're on the ground floor let go & the door will open. Kind of fun. We started the day a little late and came here on our anniverssary to try. My man stumbled upon this place while on a ride prior. He knows I like my teas/crafted drinks. And he ordered a scone for us to share. We were given the choice of raspberry or blueberry. The raspberry scone was the best scone we've both ever had. - The space was nice in both or opinions; he said the top floor reminded him of an airplane; he preferred the bottom space. - My only mini-little gripe is the cashier had a little bit of an attitutude. While I understand his reaction to one of the questions I had - he could have been polite through and through rather than judging/defensive. I'm asking not for my personal perference but I'm asking as a first time patron for a suggestion (as a first time) as I love my drinks both hot and cold. It's not to say one is better than the other, but hot and cold drinks are always different. Overall he was polite, but lacked a bit of customer service bedside manners for having his tone. Visited around 2pm this past Sunday. Parking is difficult in this area. We drove around a few times and weren't able to find a spot. My bf ended up waiting in the car while I went in to order. Luckily, there was no line. I ordered an Iced Einspanner Latte with oat milk. With tax and tip, the total came out to almost $10, which is quite steep for a 14 oz drink. The price and size were the downsides, but the drink itself was really good. It was creamy and not overly sweet. I also liked the flavor of the coffee. The place itself is spacious. I was pleasantly surprised by the layout. I'm not sure if there are multiple entrances, but I entered from 21st Ave. When you step inside, there's the ordering and coffee-making area. I really wanted to like Jandii but it's just okay. I have gone there twice and got the einspanner latte and the oat brew on tap. Both were way too sweet and creamy. The highlight though was their scone. Freshly made every 15 mins and topped with either homemade blackberry or raspberry jam and a huge slab of irish butter. I would recommend getting the jam and butter on the side. I do want to go back and try their Mont Blanc as I heard that is more balanced but drinks will run you around $9 here. I was excited to hear that there's a new cafe by my home and that Taraval is being more revived :) This corner place has been shut down for so long that I'm glad it's being put to use and is poppin. I tried a raspberry matcha latte with oat milk. I drink a lot of matcha from different places and unfortunately this one was thicker than I expected/liked. The matcha flavor was rich and I could taste the raspberry blended in but I wish the texture was lighter. It could be that they just opened a week ago from when I tried. I love the vibe inside that there are two floors of tables!!! The decorations are really cute too. It seems like everyone here are students and are working on stuff on their laptops. The drink came out quick. I think I'd try this place for another drink because it's close by. Not sure if I'd naturally gravitate toward here though. read more

My favorite thing here are the scones. They have a perfectly crunchy exterior with a soft, warm, buttery interior. They paired great with the blackberry jam and butter. They advertise them as being baked fresh daily, and they definitely taste like it. As for the drinks, I found their signature Jandii Oat Milk Brew on tap to be a bit too sweet and thick for my taste. The matcha and hojicha einspanners were decent, but the scones were the clear standout for me. The staff were friendly and welcoming at the cashier. I also loved the minimalist interior, along with the free Wi-Fi and plenty of space to study. One tip, the entrance to order is on 21st Avenue, not Taraval. read more

| June 25, 2026 | Came by in the afternoon around 3pm and there was only 3 people in front of us and the line moved quickly. The place was still pretty full an hour before closing! We got a hot latte for $6.50, iced vanilla bean latte for $7.50 plus a fresh baked scone with fresh blackberry jam for $6.50. The scone was delicious! It was light, flaky and crunchy where it counted. I would totally get this again and the jam was tasty! I can't wait to try the fresh raspberry option probably tomorrow since we live a few blocks away! Drinks and food came out in a timely manner, was clean, spacious with the first and second floor. First floor was more louder with people and the top floor was surprisingly quiet. Minimalistic decor but it works for this spot! read more

Beautiful, simply calm space, great for coffee meet ups or if you're looking for a place to work from. Another day, another new cafe opening in San Francisco. Jandii is a new cafe opening in Sunset neighborhood on Taraval St. The cafe has a funky layout and is located on 2 floors. The place is nicely decorated with plenty of spots to sit and do work. The cafe focuses on coffee and matcha. Today, I tried their vanilla bean latte. The drink was ok, nothing special. The drink wasn't too sweet but the coffee felt kind of weak imo. In fact, I was surprised there were coffee residuals at the bottom of my cup. The pastry options were limited as well, offering just one kind of scone. Hope they provide more options in the future. read more
