The restaurant itself was already VERY loud, with customers talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves. We actually appreciated the atmosphere because, as parents of a toddler, it made us feel more comfortable dining there as a family. Shortly after receiving our food, my toddler became upset and started crying. The OWNER approached my husband and asked him to REMOVE OUR CHILD FROM THE RESTAURANT. My husband, being the respectful person he is, complied and took her outside. At first, I was confused about why he had suddenly left until he called me and explained what the owner had told him. We had JUST received our food. At that point, I asked our server to remove the untouched items from our bill. I made it clear that I was more than willing to pay for anything we had already touched or consumed, but I was not comfortable continuing to give my business to an establishment whose owner had just asked my husband to remove our toddler. The owner then approached me, and I explained how inappropriate and upsetting I found the situation, especially considering how loud the restaurant already was. I could barely hear my own daughter over the overall noise in the restaurant. Her response was that "people were looking at me," which is why she asked my husband to take our daughter OUTSIDE. That response was extremely disappointing. She is a TODDLER. Toddlers sometimes cry. We were not allowing her to run around the restaurant, destroy anything, or behave dangerously. She was simply upset and crying. If noise was truly the issue, then why was our child singled out in an already extremely loud restaurant? What makes the experience even more uncomfortable is that we already felt we were greeted rudely by our first server. I do want to recognize the gentleman who was calling names for the tables. He was very kind and welcoming, and I appreciated his professionalism. As for the owner, I am extremely disappointed that someone who owns a restaurant would treat paying customers and their child this way. Families with young children deserve to know what kind of environment they are walking into. If children, or the normal behavior that occasionally comes with having toddlers are not welcome in your establishment, that should be clearly communicated to customers before they sit down and order food. We will not be returning, and I hope no other family is made to feel as unwelcome and embarrassed as ours was today.

Indoors and outdoors have a bunch of cool artwork that's inviting and warm. The staff were friendly, polite, and hard working. We started with the fried mozzarella and it was terrific. I ordered the creme brulee French toast and it was spectacular and better than I could have ever imagined. It was full of flavor and I'd order it again in a New York second. My wife opted for the chorizo sausage scramble and loved every bite. Our oldest had the chorizo scramble with my wife and really enjoyed it. Our youngest ordered the pancakes and loved them. It was a great experience and meal and we'll be back soon.

He ordered the old-fashioned, which was initially very buzzy. About halfway into it figured out it wasn't stirred, leaving all the sweetness on the bottom and booze on top. We opted for the first available table, which was outside. Could use a few more umbrellas for better sun protection, but we managed. Overall good experience, would be nice if they took reservations. Not sure if I'd do it again due to the long wait and everything was very good, but not exceptional.

Street parking is all around so it is fairly easy to find parking depending on the time of day. My go to meal here is the longanisa rice bowl with extra jalapeños, but I tried the Peach Phuzz pancakes on my last visit and loved them (especially the coconut whip on top). Granted, no pancake will be as good as the now defunct Harry's (still mourning over that closure but hope he's enjoying his retirement!) But if you're a pancake fan I recommend this one. The 1987 and Vietnamese Hazelnut are delicious, and their tea lattes are good too. For sweet items, I like their mochi muffins, and their ube & pandan cookies. Lots of seating and an ample patio area where you can people watch.

You can order with a staff at the counter or order through the QR code at your table. Here's everything that we tried and what I think of them: Ube Latte 8/10 It was good. When ordering through the QR code, the sweeteness options are extra sweet, half sweet, and less sweet, in that order. I wish they had a percentage option instead. Ube French Toast 8.5/10 Delicious, I think they fry it. Steak & Fried Rice 6.5/10 Rice was room temp/almost cold and the steak was a little too salty for my liking. Steak Longevity Noodles 7/10 Steak had the same taste like the steak and fried rice dish, and was salty. The noodles were cooked perfectly, but the sauce was on the salty end as well. Silk Egg 6.5/10 Interesting dish. Not what we expected. It's a poached egg over what almost tastes like a tzatziki sauce. Comes with a Chinese fried donut to eat it. Side of Fries 10/10 Perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The white sauce (assuming aioli?) we dipped it with was good. It's nice they rotate their menu. I look forward to coming back and trying other items.

We were immediately greeted by multiple staff when we walked in and seated right after. We arrived a little after 9am and it was already bustling, but it still felt homey. We ordered the Special which was a Carnitas Breakfast Burrito and a Lil Breakfast with an Over Easy Egg, Potatoes and Sausage. My husband also ordered a Bloody Mary. The food came out quick and hot - my husband really liked the burrito and it was massive, he ate half and I took the other half for lunch today. I loved the Lil Breakfast - it was the perfect amount of food. The real winner was the breakfast sausage links though - so so good, made in house and it shows! The coffee was good and constantly flowing - their Mimosa menu is insane. I didn't even order one, but still stared at the menu for about 5 minutes. Mitchell took great care of us too! Overall, this is one of our favorite breakfast spots - we're already talking about coming back on Saturday! Check them out and show them some love!

Our fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. it was my dads birthday and he got the peach cobbler and said it was the best he's ever had. Out waiter was kind enough to bring candles which was so sweet of her! My sister, grandma, and I shared the red velvet cake and it was amazing. You could taste the history and personality of every dish. I have never tasted such great food. we sat on the patio and it was so gorgeous. They had a plaque about the green book and the history of the time period and what it was. My history loving family found that super cool. The atmosphere inside was great. The artwork was beautifu. Also he service was impeccabl. Our server, isis, was incredibly kind and helpfu. The service was speedy which is great bc my grandma was tired and usually had dinner at four (it was 7). However we still had enough time between appetizers, the meal, and dessert. Overall my family and I will be going back and I think we found our new favorite restauran.
