Gluten free and regular biscuits so big that you only need one. I ordered the traditional bacon egg and cheese biscuit and all I needed was one. The warm softness of the biscuit with the slight crunch of the outside made for a filling breakfasts biscuit. I wish I would have ordered some jelly to go along with this biscuit, but I panicked and didn't fully review the entire menu. There's a nice outdoor seating area, weather permitting of course, if the inside is full.

Admittedly I am not a biscuit aficionado but I've enjoyed the biscuits here. Lots of complex flavors. I do think you need a good source of fluid, maybe with all biscuits, as they're a little dry. Location is great as you're right next to the new Waterfront park and the staff is friendly given how busy this can get in the summers.

Butterhole Biscuit (asked for butter and jam on the side)

What the heck! How does this place only have 3 1/2 stars? Pretty much verbatim I told my husband that it was the best biscuit I've ever had. I personally did not go inside so I can only speak for the quality of the food, but he ordered relatively quickly and we got our food maybe after waiting like, 10 minutes? Not long at all. For it being a Sunday morning at Pike Place Market, I thought we might have to wait longer, but we didn't. Sidenote, there is a ton of outdoor seating in the area and they have a brand new park section open--so even if the restaurant didn't have space, you could easily find a place to enjoy your biscuits. The biscuits themselves were huge and not thin, like usual biscuits. They are super flaky and fall apart easily --whatever recipe they use is absolutely divine and I want it. The biscuits are crispy on the outside, but very soft, almost underbaked, but not quite, on the inside. My husband had a bacon egg cheese and absolutely loved it, and I had a plain biscuit with whipped butter (easy to spread) and berry jam, requested on the side. To be honest, I thought these biscuits were much better than the local biscuit chain, BB. I'm just sorry it took years of living here before actually trying Honest Biscuits!

The biscuits are amazing and the jam, definitely get the jam. A cool spot right next to Old Stove Brewing at Pike Place Market. There are a few tables inside or you can head outside by the waterfront. As far as biscuits go, these are far better than the over-hyped ones at nearby Biscuit Bitch, in my opinion. Would have liked more butter on my biscuit but they come out really warm so it probably melted into it.

I really hesitated on writing this review about my experience with this business. I thought after texting a couple of photos I would have at least the bare minimum gotten a call from the owner. It all fell flat and to the waste side of communication. My experience turned my stomach upside down. This is the reason I will never eat anything in the dark for the rest of my life. My Angel was protecting that day for sure. If I had not sliced my biscuit to toast I shudder to think what would have happened to me. The is clearly an example of gross negligence. Get it together if you want to stay in business.

Butterhole Biscuit (GF) with Marionberry jam

Rating based on Gluten Free experience. Gluten free (GF) butterhole biscuit was good. Nice crust on the outside and soft interior. Top was a bit fluffier and bottom a bit more dense but still delicious. Ordered it with butter and marionberry jam -- yum! They were very knowledgeable and care about gluten allergies, even switching gloves and using separate prep area. Overall I had a great experience here. Indoor seating and a good view of the water.

Came here in a Saturday and it was pretty packed. Limited seating both indoors and outdoors. But you can go sit by the waterfront steps or umbrellas. Plenty of other seating a bit away from the restaurant. They have a QR code you can scan to order online which saves time from getting in line and ordering. I got the a jalapeño, pickled onion egg and cheese biscuit sandwich. Honestly, it was pretty good. I split it with a friend so it wasn't filling enough to eat half the sandwich. Will be back here to try a few other items.

Ate breakfast here on a Sunday morning. Very nicely sized, hearty biscuits with friendly service. I *thought* I knew what I wanted until 2 seconds before we approached the register when I suddenly realized that the items listed on the menu as "biscuits" had the listed toppings baked INTO them (not on them) and the "sandwiches" were what I'd still just call a...biscuit. I ordered the fried chicken "sandwich" and my partner ordered the bacon egg and cheese on a Macgreggor biscuit, as well as the peach/raspberry drizzle dessert biscuits. We both asked for no mayo. WHY you'd put mayonnaise on a bacon, egg and cheese in the first place is absolutely beyond me tbh. I think the cashier must've misheard part of the order because my partner's biscuit came out with just egg & cheese, but were charged correctly for it, so we didn't bother ordering the bacon. I also got a peach tea mimosa which I loved. I enjoyed the chicken and the pickle on my "sandwich" but the biscuit itself wasn't that great me. They were just too bulky and also baked too hard for my liking. The inside of the biscuit was decent, but the outside was so tough and crumbly, it made the whole bite just dry. We spent around $50 for this meal and for me, the taste of the food just didn't match the price. Call me crazy, but in the spirit of being honest- if I'm craving a biscuit, I'd much rather eat one from CFA or a can of butter tastin' Grands.

Came here through the Pike Place food tour and got to try some of their amazing biscuits! We had the Pike Place biscuit with Beecher cheese, which was absolutely delicious. We also got to watch them make the biscuits and load them into the oven. The place also smells spectacular!

Vegan Sandwich (vegan cheese, meat, biscuit!)
    Crystal M.

Love that they have vegan options! I've been wanting to try their biscuits for years and finally, I did! The vegan biscuit sandwich is very good. Love that they have vegan cheese & vegan 'meat'. However, I think my preference is the vegan biscuits and gravy. Gravy and biscuits were warm, savory, very flavorful. Good breakfast meal! Why only 4 stars? I think service is not great but not terrible. A little too pushy on the 'up sales'. Indoor and outdoor seating available Casual quick environment

    Bacon breakfast sandwich
    Chelsea W.

Ordered a bacon breakfast sandwich. Perfection! Biscuit was fresh and warm, the staff were great and checked in midway through the meal. Good portion size. Will definitely eat here again. It is in a busy location so seating is hit or miss but there are lots of spots along the pier you can grab and go.

So hard to find good gluten free options these days. Their gluten free biscuits were delicious. And to top it off, they have a gluten free fried chicken biscuit sandwich. Would definitely come back!

We came here to have breakfast before our tourist day in Seattle and it was great. We tried Pike Place biscuit and southern style gravy on a butterhole biscuit and they were both delicious and very filling. I usually do not like things that have sausage in it but with the gravy, it tasted so good. We also had a mimosa because you can't go wrong with that. The service was great. We came early so the place was very quiet. If you're in the area, this is a must try.

I tell my non-Asian friends that they should leave an Asian restaurant if you don't see any Asians inside. I am happy to say we were the odd ducks in this place! Love me some legit soul food. The menu is straightforward. We ordered at the counter. The food is brought to our table. The food took quite a while with big crowds coming in after us. I suspect they cook in batches as multiple groups received food at the same time. It was mostly self-service (utensils, water) until the restaurant quieted down, then we saw servers cleaning tables, etc. The Food: Combo Dinner with two sides, $26 - 5 Stars The combo plat offers two meat choices. I chose the wings and catfish. The wings are sizable and plump. Highly recommend. The catfish was a thinner cut and a bit dryer. I liked the very thin breading on the catfish, not greasy, and it tasted good with Tabasco. For sides, both the collard greens and fried okra are excellent. In fact, I say the okra is perfection! The little corn bread is just right for me. I thought the corn bread has good flavor while hubby said it was too dry. Catfish Dinner with two sides, $24 - 3.5 Stars Hubby complained the catfish was too thin. He's not a Tabasco person, so that doesn't help. I gave him two wings to calm him down. Lol. He loved the hush puppies the best. They are huge with a wonderful crisp. I agree with him! He thought the yams are too sweet; they do look sweet in the liquids but isn't that want yams are intended to be? I think he just needs to order differently in the future. Note they have a 3.5% service charge for credit card purchases. See line on the menu photo.

The good to the last drop sauce had bold flavors although quite salty, just perfect for dipping the focaccia in. Unc's Wing was equally exquisite: rubbed in a 13-spice blend, with perfect crispness and plump, juicy flesh beneath the coating. Butter-basted cabbage was a rare treat: basted with butter that accentuates the sweetness of caramelized cabbage. Miso butter sauce a great match. The drink I ordered was less intriguing: Kinfolk (bourbon, Jamaican, rum, Cynar, and pecan liqueur) was bourbon heavy, very balanced nonetheless just not memorable. The chocolate truffle was the only item we did not enjoy: it had hard shell and very dense filling.

At first, I wasn't sure what type of cuisine the restaurant was trying to be. Given the name, I assumed it was French, but the menu felt more like a mix of different styles. I decided to order the Toulouse Burger. My thinking was that if a dish carries the restaurant's name, it should be one of their specialties. Fortunately, the burger was very good and I enjoyed it. The overall aesthetic is beautiful at first glance, but some details take away from the experience. For example, the TV mounted on the wall with visible wires and the speakers surrounding it felt out of place. The restroom could also have been cleaner. The towels by the sink were soaked and splattered with water. If it's difficult to keep them looking neat throughout service, a wall-mounted towel dispenser might be a better solution. That said, the restaurant was very busy, so it's understandable that keeping up with every detail can be challenging. My impression is that Toulouse wants to create an elegant European-style atmosphere, but in reality it feels more like an American-style restaurant with European influences. I think it would benefit from presenting itself a little more authentically rather than trying to project a level of sophistication that doesn't fully match the experience. A restaurant is at its best when it embraces what it truly is.

I haven't eaten many biscuits since moving to Seattle even though I grew up devouring them in the…read moreSouth. It's mostly because I find the large majority of biscuit places on the West Coast to be subpar - either dense and dry inside, or too similar to cake, like the baker substituted cake flour for good old fashioned White Lily. When I saw a bunch of people recommend Seattle Biscuit Company, I decided to give them a try. The first time I visited a biscuit place in the PNW a ton of people recommended, Pine State Biscuits in Portland for reference, I came out extremely disappointed. Hopefully this time would be different. I have to say, pricing is a bit ridiculous here. Just as a comparison point, the special fried chicken biscuit here is $27. The fried chicken biscuit at the place I grew up eating at is currently $5. The plain biscuit is $7 here vs. $1.29 there. Is it worth the price? I started out with a plain biscuit to judge their basic building block: Plain Biscuit ($7) - These are massive biscuits, around half a pound in weight, easily dwarfing the size of 90% of other biscuits. The smell wafting out of the paper wrapper smells heavenly with the aroma butter and flour. The taste reminds me of my childhood growing up in the South. It's distinctively buttery and salty, warm and comforting, almost spot on in taste as compared to say, Bojangles. A lot of places on the West Coast don't add enough salt or butter, making the biscuit taste unpleasantly alkaline. This one has no issues at all in the flavor department. The bake on the biscuit is fantastic, leaving the exterior with a crisp crust all around, while the inside still remains moist and fluffy. It's not particularly layered or flaky, and the interior, while fluffy, has a bit more developed gluten, making it just slightly chewy and slightly denser than perfection. When trying to split by hand, it doesn't split cleanly and instead chunks, especially in the center. Yet it's moist and doesn't crumble apart easily. These biscuits stand on their own and don't need any accompaniment to be enjoyed. Out of all the biscuits I've eaten on the West Coast so far (15+ places), this one tastes the most like a good Southern biscuit. (5/5) I was impressed enough with the biscuit that I revisited the week afterwards to try a sandwich: Gus ($27) - This sandwich seems very expensive until the plate comes out. In between the giant biscuit comes two pieces of fried chicken breast (or perhaps one piece filleted into two). It's breaded and fried generally well - the outside is definitely crisp, although it doesn't adhere that well to the chicken and slides off very readily. The interior of the chicken is nice. I usually expect chicken breast to be dry, but this one is relatively moist, not dried out at all. The breading tastes sweet and salty. I wonder if they brine the chicken in sweet tea. Each side of the biscuit is slathered with a bit of sweet mustard and peppered with pickle slices, giving some acidity to cut through the sausage gravy fat. Between the pickles and the sweet breading, it reminds me of the flavor of a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. The sandwich is served on a bed of orange-colored sausage gravy. It's thick and rich, although perhaps a little on the floury side. There's plenty of sausage mixed in, giving a ton of meaty depth combined with black pepper and spices. In terms of portion size, my wife and I shared this sandwich and we had trouble finishing it. It's definitely enough for two people, which makes the pricing a little more palatable. There aren't that many places in Seattle to get sweet tea, so I'd say it's passable. I did purchase additional plain biscuits as well and I have to say texture-wise, they are similar, but these new ones tasted distinctively less buttery than before. I think there might be some consistency issues although this second batch is still really good. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the biscuits served at Seattle Biscuit Kitchen. I will definitely be revisiting in the future for more. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms.
