Celebrating a birthday tonight. First time here and it is very big and open. We were seated right the middle since we had a large party of 10. Didn't like that there were no backing on the seats, not good for old folks. The food was good small to moderate portions given. A lot of delicious sides provided for the table. We went here for date night last night. We were seated at table 25. The service was excellent! The food was delicious as well! We ordered spicy pork belly, spicy pork neck (never had it before so we tried it), and spicy marinated chicken! The only thing I have a problem was as we were eating and the server was cooking the meat for us a small roach popped out of nowhere and she had to kill it. They did offer us a free soju bottle due to the inconvenience, however, a second small roach popped out again. Even though the food and the service was great, we won't be coming back due to the roach. Small roach indicates to us that there's an infestation so we don't feel 100% safe to come back. Excellent spot if you're in the mood for quality, authentic Korean bbq and a chill atmosphere. My wife and I dropped in and were seated immediately. We ordered the premium combo which included LA beef rib, boneless rib, ribeye steak, pork neck, pork belly, spicy pork belly, pork bulgogi, beef bulgogi, beef brisket, and squid with sides of rice, soybean paste stew, and steamed egg included. All were delicious and came out at once. The quality and cuts of meat were excellent and the amount of food we got could have easily served 3 to 4. We also ordered the seafood pancake which was quite tasty with a nice crisp on the outside. The menu has a decent selection of soju cocktails though we ended up getting makgeolli. However, we were most impressed by the outstanding service. All of our servers were very attentive and friendly and grilled our food to perfection (though they do allow you to grill yourself if you'd prefer). As such, our grill did not have to be changed once as our food never burned. Another nice feature is that the vent hoods can be moved up and down, minimizing the amount of grill smoke at each table. Just as a side note, there is no AYCE option, however, the quality of meat was far superior to that of many AYCE Korean bbq places we've been to and we were more than satisfied by the end of our meal. Came here with a big group of friends to get our KBBQ on and left happy. We were able to call ahead and reserve a table. Our table had two grills so we split up into two groups. Customer service was quick and good, but it was straight business. No pleasantries. Not a big deal. We started off with a bottle of soju each and a couple of people ordered soju cocktails. They went down like water and can sneak up on you! The table was already set up with the banchan which is condiments and small bites served with Korean bbq. The salad and kimchi were good and was a great bite between the meats. My table ordered a couple orders of pan fried mandu which was exceptionally tasty. They were big and filled with filling. Most of us ordered individual soups, mine was the spicy beef soup. I would come back just for the soup and dumplings. Great on a cold day. There's not an AYCE option, so I usually order any of the combo orders, which serves around 3-4 people and comes with steamed egg, soybean paste stew, and 3 rice. I always end up leaving STUFFED. There were really stingy with the appetizers, so only one round and no repeats . Food: I would categorize this place as middle to high tier KBBQ. The taste, heat of the grill to get those awesome grill marks, and the quality of the meat is all great. For a group of 4, we got the Premium Special Combo, which was enough to be satisfied. We also got an order a cheesy corn and a bottle of soju. After tax and tip, it came out to about 50 dollars a person. Service: Super attentive. And they show up even if you don't press the button sometimes to help you cook. i.e. they make sure you don't burn the place down. And one ajumma even came by to cook our steak and add some sesame oil on the pan. (Also the waitstaff wears masks, which I think is a trend in restaurants that we should all continue) Environment: industrial interior with lots of open space. Circular KBBQ tables with little space to put the meats your order. We put it on an empty seat. Pretty good ventilation from the adjustable height vents. BUT because of the curvature of the grill, the elevation to chest level, and the fact that it's a pan means you either need to a) bring your own apron, b) wear your laundry day clothes, or c) subject your hands, arms, and clothes to oil splatter. But this is KBBQ. Be better. You should know this by now. The noise level of this place is unbelievable. I looked around; no one was talking... they were just eating. Where this place has an edge, however, is the quality of their food and the service that comes with it. We ordered a ton of really delicious meat, all of which was cooked for you by the staff. I've been to other KBBQ places in the past that require you to do your cooking - which is fine, but not nearly as fun. The ambience was awesome too. Really casual and great for big groups. Price for 7 people (including food, soft drinks, alcohol, and sides) was roughly $450. That price is probably a little higher than some other places in Houston, but then again, you're paying for quality and service. All in all, I would definitely come back here. read more

The overall quality of the meats were alright for what you pay for but most of them had a lot of fat on them. I liked the side dishes and the steamed egg. Most of all, I was disappointed to be seated in the middle area for a large party as the stools were very uncomfortable. Try to get booth seating if you can. The ambiance is really cool and modern. I thought the place was decorated cleverly with the pig theme and the seating is laid out very spaciously. There is definitely a party type of vibe in here. The music is pumping and the screens are playing videos. It is definitely a place you want to go with a larger crowd. If you are looking to have an intimate moment over lunch or dinner, it won't happen here. This is by design, as it is standard procedure for the waitstaff to assist you with the cooking. I don't have an issue with that in theory but sometimes I just want to have a conversation with whoever I'm eating with. No problem with waitstaff checking in but they do it a lot here. Again, this is not a complaint on the restaurant as this is part of the experience. This is more of a PSA to anyone wanting a quiet intimate meal. You should come here when you're in the mood to be boisterous or engage with the staff. The food was good. I enjoyed the ban chan. The one thing that I did not really feel was outstanding was the corn cheese. There was nothing wrong with it but it just tasted like corn with cheese melted on top of it. Soo I went for the first time to see what all the hype was. Whenever I try a new place, I normally would order a good amount of food to see how I would rate it. Here are the items I ordered including appetizers to main course and what I personally thought. Appetizers: Pan fried mandu: good crisp texture and the sauce on the side was tangy and had good flavor Chapchae: a little oily for my taste but the noodles were good, had good flavor Entrees: So we ordered the combo specials the beef version, which included LA galbi, bulgogi, beef brisket, ribeye steak, and boneless rib. Also included steamed eggs, and soup. Out of all of the meats, the LA galbi and bulgogi was my favorite. They were marinated perfectly. The ribeye steak was not that great. You know how sometimes when you buy meat from the grocery store, sometimes the bottom of the meat would be brown? That's how the ribeye steak looked like. And no it was not from the sauce that was used from the galbi and bulgogi. We also ordered the hot stone pot kalbi bibimbap. Soo this one when it came out, my first reaction to myself was "is this sauce or is this oil?" I kid you not, there was so much oil in the rice that there was a good amount left over, which I have a picture below (was half eaten). No I did not add anything additional into the rice other than the spicy chili paste that was provided (gochujang). Oh! Almost forgot! I also ordered the bibimnaengmyeon (spicy cold noodles). These were amazing! Tasted just like the ones in Korea. Everywhere I go that's "Korean" I always get the spicy cold noodles. Another factor as to see if this place is authentic or not. Atmosphere and grill: So the interior was very similar to the ones in Korea, which made me feel right at home. Even the water refill containers reminded me of Korea as well as the grill and the vent. Now the grill itself was not that great. When I put the meats on the grill, it would stick really easily to where the meats would get torn. I had to use sesame oil to help with the stickiness. Came here on a Sunday night. I knew it was going to be busy and there was a long wait. There were lots of people waiting inside and outside. Its not bad since my friends and I grabbed some boba and popcorn chicken near-by to pregame and satisfy our growling stomach a bit. We were seated after waiting for an hr. I ordered the beef special combo + la kalbi rib. The meat came out relatively quick. I think we don't have a dedicated waitress because we had a few different wait staff coming to our table. So what i observed and for my experience i was not impressed. Here's why: 1. The restaurant is VERY chaotic. Waitstaff running around everywhere and doing too much at once. 2.Took them 30 mins to give us our water. (4/5 got water) 3. Halfway into our meal they finally brought out the rice and steamed eggs. 4. Its very difficult to get the waitstaff attention. The call button on the table does NOTHING. 5. If you do happen to get someone attention say you ask for water, that person either never come back or forgets. My friend never got her water until we all finished eating. 6. We keep having to ask when so-so is coming out. I'd like to eat my meat with rice... 7. I dont like the fact that they cook all the meat at once. It need to be spaced out because my group was not able to eat everything so quickly before it burns or cook to the point its dry. The wait staff is a bit more attentive however on two separate occasion when my friend and I asked for refill on our sesame oil dipping they came back with the house sauce. My friend sitting next to me ended up just giving me hers because the waitstaff couldn't comprehend. Definitely enjoyed the fact that they cook the meats for you here. I got the duck, chicken, half kalbi and cheese corn. Our kids loved the food. Food was a bit pricey for the amount of meat you get. I liked that the meal came with a small bowl of soup as a side dish since most places you have to pay extra for this. This is the first spot in Houston that I've been to that has duck on their menu. I remember trying it in L.A and really liking it. The duck was better in L.A but this place was still pretty decent. read more
