It is so nice to now have an Andrew's Honey shop on the Upper West Side. The woman at the cash register today was very professional and warm and answered customers questions while I took photos. There was no pressure to purchase but of course I was there to stock up for my parents and friends suffering from seasonal allergies right now. I love seeing all the other goodies too- flavored honey sticks, nuts in honey etc., I even have Andrew's book- it is so wonderful to read about urban beekeeping and to follow along his adventures on social media. Fun fact: before I tried Andrew's honey at Union Square Farmer's Market 6-7 years ago I really thought I did not like honey at all- turns out I just don't like ultraprocessed honey. Andrew's honey is delicious and each neighborhood and batch will have a slightly different flavor. If you're lucky enough to run into Andrew, he explains the reason for the variation in flavor and color across seasons and locations!
