The food is great and so is the service great hospitality? so I recommend them to everyone

Earlier this week we came to Honeysuckle for an awesome breakfast, so we decided to come for dinner. Most of the food was outstanding. The waitstaff attentive and very pleasant. We got here at 5:40 to a 80% full restsurant, but the tables seemed to turn over quickly. When we left at 6:40 there was a slight wait. For a starter we had the smothered tater chips, which were delicious, covered with what we call goopy cheese sauce and plenty of bacon. We ordered the fried chicken and prime rib, the special. The waitress said it could be 25 minutes for the chicken, I appreciated the heads up. The chicken was absolutely delicious, moist inside and a slightly peppery coating which was light and crunchy. The sides. Cornbread , delicious, the mac and cheese underwelming, seems just warmed elbow macaroni with the yellow cheese sauce. The prime rib was good and served with au jus and a great horseradish sauce. Sides were greens and bacon, flavorful and well cooked and fried okra which was typical fried okra. Portions were good size, and I can again highly recommend this restaurant. Each weekday has a special and we enjoyed a large booth in the back room. read more

Food was okay, a bit overpriced. we didn't have many sit down options on our route. Also seemed like it took a while to get the food considering they were not that busy. The server was extremely friendly and helpful and would probably make a killing at larger restaurant. read more

This is a great little diner in an area with not many restaurants. Found them while doing work in Mims. Had the fried chicken with Mac and cheese and green beans. True southern cooking. The only thing that would have made the lunch better was a slice of cornbread. The staff is very friendly and attentive which these days is getting harder and harder to find. This place is worth the drive through town for lunch or dinner! They offer country/southern cooking that's pretty darn good for the area. I also just discovered that they serve breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Monday mornings which I plan to check out soon. When you walk in it literally feel like you're in your grandmothers dining room area. Its country and rustic. They also have additional seating in the back where there are about 12 large booths. Seating is open so just pick a seat and someone will help you. Its nothing fancy. The food is pretty much cooked to order. I highly recommend getting the appetizer sampler where you can choose 3 different items from their appetizer menu. We chose the fried banana peppers, the smothered potato chips and fried green beans. Let me just say that if you're on some kind of diet then this is not the place for you. LOL! I don't know about you but I've never had a fried banana pepper but these are now my new favorite thing! They are fried in what appears to be a cornmeal batter and they are fried to perfection. You still get that sweet and tart along with a awesome crunch. They came with a dipping sauce but honestly they are good just by themselves. The smothered taters are fresh fried potato chips covered in a cheese and bacon sauce. There's nothing like using fresh potatoes and these are so good. The fried green beans are also battered the same way as the banana peppers and they were equally as good. My first visit here I chose to order the fried chicken. Please note that if you do order chicken there is a 15-20 minute wait time since they fry it up fresh. Do not skip the fried chicken! Its worth the wait! This was some of the best chicken that I have ever had. It comes out piping hot so you may end up eating your sides before you can really dig in. From the batter down to the meat, their chicken is seasoned perfectly. Each bite was packed with flavor. I didn't even add hot sauce cause it just wasn't needed. I ended up choosing the mac and cheese and the fried apples for my sides. I personally was not a fan of the mac and cheese. I don't know if my taste buds were just off but after a couple of bites I gave it to my friend to eat. The consistency was that of noodles and a cheese sauce. It didn't appeared to be a baked mac and cheese which I am used to. The fried apples were so good though. They reminded me of my grandmothers cooking so it was a little bit of nostalgia. My second visit I decided to try one of their sandwiches and decided on their Old Southern Dip. I love the fact that they offer either a creamy horseradish or fresh horseradish. Either way they are both pretty potent so beware. I cannot recommend this sandwich enough! OMG! The au jus that comes with this sandwich is good enough to drink from the cup as a soup. Next time I visit I may suggest using it as a base for an awesome French Onion Soup. The au jus has fresh garlic and onions and the flavor is so good. The sandwich is served on a homemade roll with sliced roast beef and cheese. Love this sandwich! I chose collard greens for my side and I have to admit that I was a little hesitant only because I had tried these at other places here in town and have yet to be impressed. Well lets just say this is now my go to place for collard greens. They are seasoned perfect and I love the fact that they use cracklins which gives them great flavor. Don't skip the sweet tea or homemade lemonade. This place isn't fancy and all drinks are served in a large 32oz to go cup so don't be alarmed when a huge cup shows up at your table. The homemade desserts are really good too so if you have room make sure to try one out or get it to go. Writing this review has made me hungry and I look forward to my next visit! read more

Love their food. Service can be slow when they are busy - which is understandable, but the food is delicious!

It's a rare moment when I come across an establishment that makes me smitten from the time we park and enter through it's doors - Honeysuckle is such a place. From the outside it is unpretentious and homey, from the inside its a much better and even more homey ambiance than, say, a Cracker Barrell - and comparing it to that chain would be a huge disservice to this place. Their menu is all about southern cooking and feel-good food, not all of it is fried for those folks that steer away from that type of meal. I had the "Honeysuckle Bowl", which was a large plate of homemade mashed potatoes, corn, and cut-into-small-bite-sized-pieces of buffalo chicken - nice and spicy too. It comes with a choice of cornbread and something else, but I stopped listening after cornbread and choose it instead. The cornbread was lightly sweet and crumbly, it was good as well. My wife had their fried chicken (which for a the Yankee that she is she thoroughly likes) and this instance she fell in love with. Our little niece was with us and she had a kids burger, which she never finishes, but this one she ate it in its entirety. Before all this we had their deviled eggs as an appetizer and they were good as well. The service was efficient and the waitress was a bit chatty, which I am absolutely good with. We rounded everything with dessert - two pieces of New York-style Cheesecake with a Peanut Butter Chocolate Ganache drizzled overtop - it was heavenly. The little niece wanted one of their homemade cookies, which she would have had two or three more if we had given her the chance. Overall, it was a great surprise to find such as nice place not too far from home. We are already looking forward to a return trip, soon. read more

This place blew my expectations out of the water. The food was perfect comfort food on a cold day. I went with the roast beef with Au jus and horseradish. The au jus was amazing and super flavorful and the creamy horseradish was the perfect compliment. The side of fried okra and greens were both icing on the cake for a complete meal. I wish I would've had the will power to say no to the cheesecake, because now i don't think I'll ever be able to leave without a slice. Prices provide excellent value, and the service here was nothing short of perfect. Our waitress made it a 5 star experience for sure. read more

If you're looking for some fantastic down home cooking Honeysuckle is the place to go. I had the opportunity to try the chef salad, open faced turkey, sweet potato tots, corn beef & cabbage and a delicious dessert consisting of homemade brownies with cheesecake baked into it. I was very surprised of how fresh and tasty the food was. The servers were all extremely pleasant and the establishment was very clean. I would have given them 4.5 or 5 stars but as there is no option for that I gave them a 4 because the seating was very uncomfortable. It's just wood benches and if you have spine injuries like I do, it's extremely uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time, let alone on wood. I would definitely come back if given the opportunity...even despite the uncomfortable seats. =p Great job Honeysuckle- keep the great food coming! read more

It's been a couple years since we last ate here. I would have given them a four star rating then. Not now. The lunch we had was terrible. The corned beef on my Rubin sandwich was like trying to eat a rubber inner-tube. Bread was soggy from too much sauce. The french fry's I had were hard like they were old and double dipped. On my wife's sandwich they forgot the horse radish sauce and gave her the same nasty fries I had when she ordered mashed potatoes. This was an order to go so we didn't return to complain. Over the last five years of living in NE Florida we have spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS on crap food like this. Will bring our own food with us on the next road trip. read more

I don't feel that there nothing more important than fried chicken . Ordered white meat and two sides . Mashed potatoes were fair but steamed cabbage was very good. Now the chicken , you could tell by the color that it was cooked far too long. Breast was dry and hard and the wing was all dried up. We haven't ate here in a while because unfortunately we didn't care for the food the last few times we were there. We decide to go back tonight for the pork fritter sandwich and it's so overcooked we can't eat it. My brother-in-law calls them and the manager that was on says they can't replace them because they arent the general manager? But then says you have us written down for 4 pork fritter sandwiches to be replaced for free in the future? what?!?! What about dinner tonight?! The dinner WE PAID FOR?! Horrible customer service. I can't understand why our food was not replaced tonight. Why do I have to spend more of my money to feed my family instead of having my food replaced immediately? read more

This is a home cooking restaurant. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I thought the menu was large, but they did not have much on it I wanted to try. I settled on the open face Turkey sandwich. It was marred by an over abundance of gooey and too salty gravy. The cabbage side was nice. Overall I was not impressed. read more

Delicious food and decent pricing, make the spreads look really nice and easily customizable. Had them cater my wedding 7/9/21 & everyone liked it. Only thing that really bothers me and I still think about (hence, writing the review a year later)- they didn't pack up our salad bar or our grazing table; just the main dishes & sides!! Wtf!! I feel like it's common knowledge that the bride and groom don't get to actually eat much at their wedding & those were the things we looked forward to the most! Got back to our hotel room to find out none of it was there, would've eaten it later that night. Very disappointing & nothing we could do about it after it was all thrown away even though we paid for it. I would recommend them, but would also recommend telling them not to throw away all the leftovers even if they don't think they'll keep well, it's not like they're going to sit around much longer & if they did then it's our problem for not eating fast enough but would've been nice to have that option!! read more

I have only been here for breakfast and I wish the place was in my back yard. Their pork chop and eggs are excellent. Pork chops are hard to keep moist, but they do it to perfection. Our new favorite place for breakfast in the Titusville area! I do not often find places that make their own bacon and sausage from scratch. They do and do it very well. We have visited now a half dozen times and have enjoyed it each and every time. The jalapeno toast is excellent although I wish it were less than the current $1 upcharge. One of the unexpected treats and values is their squeezed to order lemonade. It is a huge styrofoam cup of deliciousness (I always order mine extra tart) and remarkably is only $2.30. They even refill it free before I leave! The staff has been incredible. They have made us feel like longtime customers and family since our very first visit. We are planning to try them out for lunch and dinner during the coming weeks. read more

In a nut shell, slop from a garbage pit for pigs would have been better. WAY over priced. The building is the former Catfish Cabin. Comfortable interior. The compliments end there. Meal quality was horrible to even dangerous. Chief Ramsey would have picked up the cook and put him thru a wall. Had Southern Fried Chicken (at least that was what was ordered). Chicken was way over cooked. Put a fork in it to see if it's done? Maybe with a hammer, better still use the chicken as a hammer. Sent it back. Was replaced with 2 drumsticks. One was a reheated left over from somebody else's meal the other was red inside. Looks pretty in the garbage pail. Must be Southern American Prison Cuisine. Get it if you dare and while you can. Diffenatly a go to place with home cooked food. Waitress staff was real nice and helpful. My wife and I split a meal and I also ate from my daughter's large plate. The chopped steak was really good and mashed potatoes were smooth but tasted real, not out of the box. The teriyaki wings were large and had a great taste. Prices are great and helpings are large. We love these little money and pop restuarants. The homemade cookies fir desert was awesime too. We would certainly come back. read more

Neighbor had recommended the breakfast bowl. Mine had way too many potatoes on the bottom, good sauted onions, gravy, bacon was barely cooked, small amount of scrambled egg on top and a pinch of grated cheese. Bowl had not been heated, so it cooled quickly. If I go again I will have to tell them how to prepare my bowl. Probably not again this year and definitely not a bowl. read more
