First, I ordered the Chinese Fried Chicken (half), which is supposed to be brined in soy and hoisin, then deep fried in a light batter. This chicken was no more brined than a rock in the desert, and it was just as dry, even the dark meat pieces. The steamed rice was fine, as was the beautiful bok choy. The dish, overall was a huge disappointment. The chicken lo mein was also a letdown, as it had an underlying sweetness that I've never experienced with this dish. Two bites were taken and it (along with the chicken) ended up in the hotel trash can. A couple of positives: I enjoyed the hot & sour soup, and the egg rolls tasted as if they were rolled in-house, which is a rarity these days. I live a few hundred miles down the road and don't get to downtown Dallas very often, so the odds of me patronizing this place again is already slim. But, in the event I find myself here in the future, I will avoid this restaurant.
