I decided to try this place after hearing some hit or miss reviews about it, since it was the nearest Chinese place to me in Boston. When I walked in, it was late and the place smelled like bleach--I guess they were cleaning up for the night. I ordered an S7 for takeout, which contained orange chicken, pork fried rice, and chicken fingers. The chicken looked great, it was separated by the rest of the meal by a styrofoam bowl, which I thought was a nice touch. The chicken fingers were kind of strewn around the bed of rice (of which there was quite a lot). The orange chicken wasn't crunchy, and was somehow over saturated with oils. The sauce on it was overpowered by the frying oils, and the chicken itself was a weird texture. It wasn't quite white meat, but it wasn't really dark meat either. I didn't like it very much at all. The chicken fingers were pretty good, still bathed in oil while somehow remaining soft though. They were good until the last one I had, where the meat of the finger crunched in my mouth. I was really put off by that. It had the same color/quality of meat that the chicken did. The rice was the only part of the meal I couldn't really complain about, aside from being a tad over fried and too oily. I couldn't finish it, with the rest of my meal having something major wrong with it. Definitely won't be eating here again. Apparently this place is hit or miss with the locals, but the meat here usually gets a bad rap. The quality of meat and the way they cook it were both kind of gross, and I couldn't finish my meal because of it. I've heard good things about their vegetarian dishes, however. I'm not going to lie I was oblivious to how good the food was because I had not really gone to many other chinese restaurants so I had nothing to compare it to. Yes, they deliver, and yes they are open late, but I would probably need to be pretty intoxicated to truly enjoy this meal. I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about but this place is great. Its not super fancy and your food is served in to go boxes. 4 of us walked here from the Embassy Suites. We had steamed vegetables w/ rice, Sweet and Sour chicken, General Gaus Chicken and beef w/broccoli. Each meal came with a side of your choice and pork fried rice. 4 meals and 4 drinks were right at 40.00. The food came out quick, hot and plentiful we even brought leftovers back. We will definitely come back when staying near Boston Logan. read more

I have NEVER been so appalled in my entire life by this rubbish I could hardly call food! This nightmare began when I was delivered what seemed to be a cross between dog food and rhinoceros dung. After the foul smelling "food" infested my nasal cavity, I held back my vomit and I quickly closed the container. I then called this Hong Kong Restaurant back and to my surprise it was still in business. I explained to them what they delivered me couldn't have been sanitary or legal and they mumbled on the phone that I probably don't have good taste! Since it's a five minute walk form my apartment, I tend to frequent this place. I get the chicken and broccoli rice plate and wings regularly. It's around $10 and delicious. No matter how many times I have asked for them to not include them, I usually end up with at least three pouches of duck sauce and/or soy sauce and/or hot mustard. Not fantastic, or with complex flavors that involve fresh herbs and what not (which I love). To be honest though I am not comparing it with those types of Chinese places. Its just a solid place. I just returned from the HKH where , while standing at the counter waiting for my order, I watched the cook, no more than 3 feet from the counter, drop a rack of ribs on the floor.
