When the fam is craving for some egg puff waffles Hong Kong Snack House hooks us up! There is a wait since it's made fresh, but that hot, crispy/crunchy outside, and airy waffle is addicting and pleasing for either a dessert or snack. On the weekends, you'll also find some fresh made pre-packed meals/snacks for on the go: spring rolls, banh cuon (Vietnamese rice rolls), bahn bo (steamed rice cakes)

Came back because I couldnt get enough of their crepes. And can confirm, still amazing!! The ice cream, perfection, and I had to relearn to just skip the knife, use the fork to lift up the crepe and take a giant bite, delicious!! Crepe crispy where its impractical to try cutting with a knife, especially a plastic one. The crepe is so big the container cant even close The ice cream, whipped cream and syrup makes a delicous abomination for the last few delicious bites I came back for more and will continue coming back for more Rice noodle was good, not a big fan of rice noodle, I thought it was gonna be har churn fun, but no. Came with peanut syrup and soy sauce etc, the guy does ask you if you want the peanut syrup and other sauces since people have allergies Receipt exists but its one of those that only tells you the total and not the individual prices Im an idiot, they have buy 2 get one free deal always and I bought 2 things already, I shouldve just gotten smth else for free. Also Ive been here many times in the past, theyre egg puffs and curry fishballs are also good

I've been coming to Hong Kong Snack House since I was a kid. I remember always asking my parents to get me some pandan egg puffs after trips to Ranch 99. Now, they're celebrating their 20th anniversary!Right now, you can come get your fave Hong Kong snacks (and more) and get 1 free when you buy 2! The owner who is always the one taking orders is very nice and funny. His little store has soooo many things, so take a look at what they have around. Packaged snacks and drinks, crepes, tornado potatoes, egg puffs, egg waffles, boba drinks, etc. They also have a very iconic Obama Stimulus Package deal of buy 3 get 1 free LOL My favorite things to get are their mango smoothies and pandan egg puffs. I will say their drinks are a little sweet for me. Although I haven't yet asked if they can decrease the sweetness. Congrats to Hong Kong Snack House for celebrating 20 years!

Warmed up chestnuts (over an open fire), a black pepper honey, which wasn't needed. They were so sweet.

We parked on that side of the mall and came through the entrance near Hong Kong Snack House, but we were going to shops. It smelled amazing. On our way out, we walked through to see what they were making. It's tiny, but the food is delicious. They make everything there. We bought a pork bun, (wonderful), a Chinese donut, and roasted Chestnuts. He told us they were organic, sweet, and small. Sold! We warmed them up at home over the fire. They were so amazing. I will be back to try more from this shop!! My daughter is on the spectrum. Super picky about food. She asked if I bought another donut! And loved the chestnuts! Thank you for making our Christmas even brighter!!

Still loving the egg puffs, waffles , fish shu Mais and curry fish balls. They also have an anniversary deal right now of buy 2 get 1 free!

Haven't been back here for several years! I intended to get a crepe, but they raised the price to $9.95! So I opted to share an egg puff waffle with a friend instead ($5.99). I also got a red bean smoothie while my friend got the Hong Kong milk tea. The egg puff waffle was so good. Crispy on the outside, steaming hot on the inside. The red bean smoothie was not very cold?? It seems like it's only milk and red bean blended with no ice. I ended up blending it with ice at home. Cash only!

Special buy 2 get 1 item free- includes banh mis! Nice people ! They have lots of selection from boba drinks, crepes, waffle puffs, snacks and banh mi.

If I'm craving a snack when I'm at the pac east mall I'll stop by here for a boba and egg puff waffle! If you go with 3 friends you can even do the "Barack Obama Stimulus Package - Buy 3 get 1 free" for your drinks. (I don't know why they called it that or made this poster but it is hilarious either way.) The egg puff waffles are freshly made and always hit the spot, I'd highly recommend the pandan flavor which is my fave. I always prefer coming here to support a small, longtime family-owned business over the neighboring chain boba cafes. They also accepted Apple Pay.

They have lots of stuff, quite a complete list for HK snacks, including freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, fin soup, all the cooked street food you can find in HK, glass bottle Vita soy milk, roasted chestnuts, etc. Sugar cane juice is ok, you can get it cheaper in some Vietnamese places. The fin soup is not good, too much soy sauce flavor and not enough black fungus or rice noodle to make it smooth. They did put in quite some shredded meat. The egg pluff is ok. Not a dine in shop. Speak Cantonese and cash only.

I've always visited the Pacific East Mall ever since I was a baby but I never bought food from this place until now. I ordered the pandan coconut egg waffle and this came out piping hot! This costed $5.95 without tax. I personally liked this one as I could taste the pandan and coconut flavor. It was very light. Also, it's worth noting that this place is CASH ONLY. They also sell boba and other HK snacks like curry fish balls. The man who took my order mentioned their fruit smoothies use fresh fruit. Overall: 8/10

I haven't come by in a long time because the last time I came out they were remodeling the mall. My son I came by tonight and ordered pork buns, rice rolls, hong kong milk tea and watermelon slushie, all very yummy! We love the music blasting from this small place and you can hang out and eat or drink at one of the three tables they have. They are a snack house with eggettes, crepes, fried goodies, milk teas, amazing smoothies, etc. The service was great, very welcoming and great personality! Totally recommend this place if you enjoy food! They are located on the left side of the mall after the entrance.

The menu is pretty extensive, with the first half dedicated just to drinks - we didn't order any though as we had already bought coffee, though they didn't say anything to us about bringing in outside drinks. The food menu had lots of options too, but we decided to keep things simple. - Popcorn chicken appetizer: the chicken was juicy and not overly breaded, though I wish it had a stronger basil flavor. We liked the sweet chili sauce over the honey mustard, which was quite mustard-y. - Braised beef noodle soup: I liked the two cuts of beef for some variation, and everything was well marinated. The noodles had a good chew, though the broth on its own was a bit soy sauce heavy for my taste. - Thai spicy pork over rice with egg: this could've been spicier, but overall the flavors were balanced. The egg can be cooked how you want, so my partner had a fried egg which was cooked well. This bowl came with A LOT of rice. I wasn't wowed by any of the dishes, but they were all solid, and prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. I ended up taking half of my bowl of BNS to go, though probably would've finished it if we hadn't ordered the popcorn chicken. The decor is super cute and Asian lol definitely leaning into the HK cafe vibes. Service was attentive enough but they mostly left us alone which I like. Solid casual spot for comforting Chinese food!

That being said, the texture of the rice roll is great - the custard buns have such a gritty filling that it totally eclipses how delicious the bao dough is. The filling flavor and sweetness is good. Idk why they keep sabotaging themselves with these almost-good dishes - they will bring out dishes as they're ready, which meant I was served desserts before savory dishes - you'll need to request a spoon for certain rice roll dishes; the fillings poured out when you tried to eat them

As we were one of the few people dining in, we were seated right away and put in our orders. It only took a few minutes for the food to come out hot and fresh. I decided to try the shrimp wonton soup as it looked very comforting for a chilly day. Starting with the broth, it has a nice, richly seasoned chicken flavor. The noodles here are very long but maintain a chew which is perfect for slurping. The greens were a little on the tough side as my personal preference would be for it to be a bit tender to bite into and eat. The soup have a good quantity of both the shrimp and the wontons. For anyone coming, the parking can be really bad as it shares probably 20 or so spots with several other restaurants. It's near impossible to park nearby with the alternative of parking near the Panera's or even the target. There's plenty of tables and seats inside, and it was pretty slow when we dined in. Convenient televisions on two different sides where all the workers were casually watching, and quite the chatter in the kitchen where they're all watching the World Cup. That doesn't really affect service however as they're quite attentive when called for. We ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice, and the medium bbq platter with char sound soy sauce chicken. All very delicious! The only thing is that they can bit on the pricier side with $20 for the fried rice and $30 for the bbq plate. Overall, I thought grand cafe definitely scratched our itch for Cantonese style dining experience. It's eh, kinda priced up though for sure…read more My go to is a baked dish. The quality kinda varies- the baked fish fillet with white cream sauce was good. Cheesy, tender, egg fried rice was flavorful. Portion kinda small, as the dish was very shallow. Not a lot of rice. Kinda off tho when it was the first dish that arrived to the table and it was lukewarm. I find a baked dish is typically always last since it needs time to bake, and is served scalding hot imo. That's when you know it's done right. This wasn't that. Suss The baked pork chop with cheese and tomato sauce was so disappointing and super greasy/heavy. The meat was chewy and had an unpleasant flavor. The tomato sauce was not good either. The shrimp wonton noodle soup I sadly cannot recommend, the filling was not good. Had more pork than shrimp consistency. I did not enjoy the flavor. Not aromatic. I will say, the noodles were great quality. Thin, bouncy, correct texture. What you would hope for. The soup was not good. The roast duck was good, with tender meat and fatty skin. Flavorful with the plum sauce. The fish congee was good, though a bit too runny imo once cooled down. The fried donut (you tiao) was crunchy and very doughy. Would be nice if they could slice it. I can agree with everyone about their thoughts on the 18% mandatory tip fee, it's crazy lol. Mandatory service fee for hk service (which is minimal service). It was so hard to flag down the waiter for refilling water, or to get more napkins. The place was empty and they were on their phone the whole time. Waiting for that automatic tip. Whatever man.
