    Beef roll

Great food and highly efficient service! The noodles in the Beef Noodle Soup and Pork Chop Noodle were the standout--nice texture and chew. The Beef Roll was tasty but smaller than expected. The Pandan Chicken had great flavor, but the pieces were small and a little dry; larger cuts would definitely help keep the chicken juicier. A really fun bonus: they give you a scratcher card for every $20 you spend. You can win prizes ranging from discounts and free food to a vege blind box, which was a fantastic way to cap off the meal! They have a massive menu with tons of dessert and drink options we didn't get to. I'm definitely going back to try more.

"San Fran is so overrated and expensive - tell me why did I just pay $25 for an avocado toast?" Gurl, "San Fran" is all I needed to know. Yes, the city is expensive but there's a lot of affordable eats if you're down to leave your bubble...like in Inner Richmond. TeaWood Cafe has your wallet in mind with everything under $16.95 (except two salmon dishes). Opening in late 2024, they're an HK Cafe serving Taiwanese classics and AZN fusion comfort food. They've been on my bookmarks and finally had a chance to visit several months ago for a late weeknight dinner. Just a heads up, they advertise giving a scratcher and/or blind box for every $20 you spend. We spent over $60 and didn't get anything. But that's not what we came for so... F O O D * RE04 Popcorn Chicken w/ minced pork sauce over rice 盐酥鸡卤肉饭 ($13.95): https://tinyurl.com/4dunzfkk Fav dish of the night, the popcorn chicken was crunchy, juicy, and flavorful with a delicious aromatic peppery spice. The minced pork sauce ran too sweet but the accompanying pickles helped to offset it. * B07 Beef Brisket Wonton Noodles 牛腩云吞拌麵 ($13.95): https://tinyurl.com/yn5nxd5u Tender brisket with plump pork wontons served with thick egg noodles. Their twist on the HK cafe classic? They coat the noodles in a soy málà numbing sauce. It was unexpected but mild and approachable. * P02 Seafood Tom Yum Cream Pasta 冬荫公海鲜意粉 ($14.95): https://tinyurl.com/uarpvknp And, that will be $28 at your local Italian resto! A great value, the tom yum cream pasta was rich and savory with a mild sour tang with al-dente spaghetti noodles. There was a decent amount of shrimp, clams, calamari, mushrooms and bell peppers. I wish the sauce was more punchy tho but you can't beat the price. * A08 Super French Fries w/ black truffle sauce 特长薯条 黑松露酱 ($7.95): https://tinyurl.com/vcs47xhu A fun novelty, the Japanese super fries are mashed potatoes that's shaped into long strips before frying. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with a creamy earthy aioli. Great for kids. S E R V I C E Cordial staff and prompt food service (order via QR code). Overall, TeaWood Cafe is great for a wallet-friendly meal esp if you're craving HK Cafe style food with a Pan AZN twist.

I adored the fried tofu and have since been back several times to explore the menu. Fried tofu: love the fried batter and dipping sauce goes well Drinks: boba was served on the side when I ordered with the bear. I suppose I get more drink? The bear is cute but I think it's more of an Instagram thing, as they include regular ice cubes that dilute the drink. The bear doesn't melt completely so you probably just abandon the partially melted bear anyways. The boba is fine - chewy but not much flavor? Mango sago was good Braised beef noodle soup: love that it's the Taiwanese variety. Soup was fine but seemed to lack depth in flavor. It's a skip for me but would probably satisfy most people's itch especially since it's rare to have the soy sauce broth in San Francisco (most are clear broth). Noodles and veggies were good Lu rou fan: too little meat on a mountain of rice. Sauce was too watery when it should be gelatinous Fried pork - excellently fried Service is always very nice but is really slow and drinks come really late so don't come for a quick meal. Always seems to have Family Feud on TV. Parking: parking meters are free after 6 pm or on Sunday. Residential street parking can take a while to find, especially when the farmers market is up on weekend TLDR: great for fried food. Skip the boba. Mango sago is good. Food is a good value and portions are good.

Cute cafe serving up Asian fusion. Good variety of drinks, and dessert too. Service is good. Food came out quickly. The popcorn chicken was tasty and fried tofu crispy. The clam and salmon mentaiko pasta was a little heavy sauce wise. The seafood tom yum spaghetti was good.

My husband and I came on a Friday night for an early dinner. Ordered the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, pork chop and noodle and the black jelly/ boba mango dessert. I thought everything we ordered was solid. Popcorn chicken -4.8/5 Beef noodle soup- 4.5/5 Pork chop- 4.5/5 Dessert- 3/5 Service wasn't the best despite us being one out of the two tables in there. Like why wouldn't you clear the table before dessert. Spend $20 and you'll get a chance to win a blind box from scratching a card.

Love this Taiwanese cafe a lot! We ordered their beef noodle soup, curi fried chicken drumsticks with rice, and fried pork chop noodle and they all tastes delicious! The price is fairly reasonable with good portions. Their mango yogurt is also good! Just a note they don't sell alcohol but only tea and all the sweet drinks :) Would definitely visit again!

Came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Got seated right away and they weren't too busy. I'm surprised they weren't busy because this place is great! More people need to come here if you're craving some Asian fusion food. We ordered quite a bit for 4 people because we got excited seeing the menu and wanted to try a lot of things. In all honesty, not everything was great but the experience was awesome. The servers here were very friendly. We had 2 guys as our servers and they were very attentive. We ordered this ice milk tea that comes with a bear. We got it because we thought it would be a good picture for the food review and Instagram lol. Unfortunately, the bear didn't float on the drink and sunk down. The guy was very nice to try and make us another one on the house but it also sunk. During our meal, he came up to our table and asked us for our opinion on the drink. He was welcoming feedback and told us more about his thought process on the drink which was wonderful. Love a place and a person that is trying to improve! The drink flavor was good but it could be sweeter and creamier. As for the food, I mentioned not everything was great but it wasn't terrible. -Rose fried wings - don't know if these are actually fried. Seems more like baked and covered with candied sauce. Way too sweet my liking. Would be nice to have it more salty and less candied but was interesting. -Pandan chicken wraps - ordered due it being a recommend item. It was very fragrant like the server mentioned but not something I'd get again. It was small skewer like pieces of chicken wrapped in leaves. Interesting but nothing special -Laksa soup noodle - this was just bland for a Laksa dish. It was missing the umami, coconut creamy flavor. The color of the soup was already light in color. -Thai ground pork dish - This wasn't bad. I just think it could've had a better pork to rice ratio Everything else we loved. big fan of the Taiwanese chicken over noodle. I opted for the spicy version of the noodle and it was great flavor. The chicken was tasty and juicy. The ramen here wasn't as rich and oily which has its pros and cons. Solid though for the price + you get a cutlet on the side. Despite the some items being lackluster, I'm still giving my experience here 5* because of the price, staff and overall experience. You also get a scratcher for every $20 spent. We ended up getting 6 scratchers. 2 were duds, 2 for us blind boxes and 2 got us free appetizer items. Neat idea! Definitely will be back

TeaWood Cafe is a good restaurant for Taiwanese and Hong Kong style food and drinks. We came on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was busy with a couple parties waiting. It's first come first serve. After being seated, we were given menus, but we ordered from my phone by scanning a QR code at the table. I ordered the Taiwanese Pork Chop Noodles. The pork chop was crispy and delicious and the noodles and veggies were good too. I was pleasantly satisfied with this order. I also tried the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, which I thought was just okay in terms of flavor and a little too spicy (for me) at mild. We ordered the cucumber beef roll for appetizer and the sesame balls for dessert and enjoyed both of them. Service was a slow and inattentive at times, but we were able to get what we needed. The restaurant had a promotional special where for each $20 you spend, you get a scratcher card with prizes being blind boxes or food items. I got 2 blind boxes which had a small, cute stuffed food toy inside. Overall, good experience at TeaWood Cafe.

So delicious, affordable, and comforting! This spot is a Hong Kong style cafe but they sell lots of Taiwanese foods & other asian-fusion dishes. Highlight of the meal had to be the clam & salmon in creamy mentaiko sauce pasta. Unfortunately forgot to take a picture but if you're reading this I'd highly recommend trying that dish! Also enjoyed the deep fried chicken cutlet with minced meat sauce over noodles. So flavorful and extremely generous with the protein. They seem to do well with fried foods here. Everything else was tasty but I'd say those were the dishes that stood out most. We arrived on a Sunday past noon and it was half-packed. They seemed really understaffed as our server looked tired and was running around. Looks like a family owned spot. A gem for affordable eats for sure! Perfect spot for sharing with family and friends as well.

I came here on a weekend evening with several friends and were seated immediately. There are plenty of bright lights and neon displays in the restaurant, and service was responsive and friendly. My friends and I generally had a satisfying experience. I loved their popcorn chicken, which was super crispy and had unique flavoring that made it the favorite at the table. Their braised beef noodle soup was also good, which was rich and perfect for when I was craving something hearty. On top of the food, they had a deal where my friends and I got plushies from a blind box after spending a certain amount, which made the visit even more fun and memorable. Great food and good vibes!

We were really excited to try this place but our first impression was not amazing. We walked in on a rainy Sunday around 3 PM and awkwardly stood near the doorway for about a minute before we were acknowledged at all. After speaking to a server, we waited another 10 minutes or so for a table. The restaurant wasn't full--it was just that all of the open tables (4 or 5 open tables) still had uncleared plates/dishes from previous customers. This place is very obviously understaffed and we noticed that every server was quite busy. We ordered a signature purple rice yogurt drink, watermelon green tea smoothie, popcorn chicken with minced pork sauce over rice, braised beef noodle soup, and scallion oil noodles. The popcorn chicken was a good texture with the right about of crunch to it, not dry at all. The minced pork sauce was too sweet for me and the rice was on the dry and light side (it tasted lower quality than your average restaurant). The braised beef noodle soup had more of a numbing flavor than a traditional Taiwanese beef noodle soup but the noodle and bok choy textures were good. The beef noodle soup was fine overall, but we agreed that we wouldn't really go out of our way just to have it. On the bright side, the scallion oil noodles were really good and it was probably our favorite dish! Lastly, the drinks were all right--they tasted good but were not remarkable. We were helped by a young Asian man who was really kind and helpful. We did notice that he was running around the restaurant doing almost everything: packing take-out orders, moving food to tables, making some drinks, grabbing to-go boxes for customers, clearing tables off, communicating with food delivery drivers, etc. Overall, the food was fine but we didn't feel that it was exceptional or worth going out of our way for. The biggest thing is that this restaurant could really use more staff.

Came on a Saturday around lunch. There was a small line but it went quick. The food came out really quick and it was delicious. Really enjoyed the braised beef noodle soup the most. The wings were good too since they used the popcorn chicken seasoning. 2 entrees and 2 appetizers were too much for 2 people but we wanted to try everything!
