We really enjoyed the food here! All the dishes were so fresh, and the service was great! The ambience is perfect for a family outing.

We wanted to say a huge thank you to Sally and the entire Hong's Gourmet staff for making our wedding reception so special. My husband and I held our reception dinner here after our ceremony at Hakone Gardens, and we reserved the entire restaurant for our celebration. From start to finish, the team was incredibly accommodating and worked with us to personalize the menu to fit our preferences. Every one of our guests loved the food, and enjoyed the space. The restaurant also provided plenty of space for us to dance and celebrate with our family and friends, making the night feel both elegant and comfortable. We are so grateful for Sally's kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. Thank you for helping make our wedding day so memorable. we highly recommend Hong's Gourmet for any special occasion!!

We came here as there wasn't many options open in downtown Saratoga that weren't "high end" dining options. The service was okay, the server never brought a drink that we ordered, which we only realized at the end, but we were not charged for it. Other than that the server was friendly. There wasn't many people there when we went and the food came out relatively quick. It was OK, not too flavorful, and the rice had clumps of dry rice in it. Everything else was once again just OK. I would say if its the only thing open, I would to again, however I would seek out other options first.

I absolutely love eating here. This is had to be some of the best Chinese food I've had. I'll make the drive from south san jose to eat here. They have great attentive service and it's a great place to take the family. They have a large menu with alot of different options, so whatever it is you are craving, they probably have it! serving portions are very big so make sure to come hungry! Great place, awesome food.

We had a 10 table party here that went really well with the assistance and recommendations from the manager, Sally. The ambiance is cozy and pleasant. We really enjoyed our event.

Made a big takeout order for a birthday party. Hong's was delicious! One of the best Chinese spots south of San Jose, and probably my favorite in the Saratoga/Los Gatos area. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was great! The broccoli beef, green beans, Mu Shu pork, mushroom chicken dish, eggplant, and spicy beef were all flavorful, with well-cooked veggies and rich, tasty sauces. Their house-made chili sauce is a standout, not too spicy, but full of flavor. Their spicy mustard sauce is great as well. Whether dining in or grabbing takeout, this spot delivers solid, well-executed Chinese food

I ordered delivery of beef fried rice, wok fried green beans, house special emerald chili chicken and potstickers. Potstickers are standard good potstickers. I enjoyed the fried rice because it had good flavor and there was a generous amount of beef. The emerald chili chicken was delicious, slightly spicy and a huge portion. The photo of the chicken in its box doesn't do it justice. I eventually consolidated the chicken on top of the green beans and you can see how much there really is and that's after I already ate my portion. The green beans were delicious too. Overall very good food and large portions of entree

What a gem! We love Hongs for the consistent excellence and the warm service. We always feel so welcome and cared for here. The food is excellent--especially the tangerine beef, walnut prawns, and seafood delight. The chow fun and seafood fried rice had perfect wok hei. Don't sleep on the tai chi tofu--great flavors and textures. Indoor ambiance is warm and inviting. Outdoor patio is roomy and comfortable. We can't wait to return!

You place your order through a QR code, which makes the process quick and easy. This visit, we ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings, Tidu Sliced Beef Pot, and Tianjin Eggplant. The wings are a must-order here. They're always perfectly fried and crispy on the outside while still staying juicy and tender inside. The Tidu Sliced Beef Pot reminded me of a dry hot pot. It had a great mala flavor with a subtle numbing sensation, and the peanuts added a nice crunch and texture to the dish. The Tianjin Eggplant was simple but delicious, with flavorful pork that paired really well with the soft eggplant. Overall, the food here is comforting and satisfying. I really loved the Mongolian beef, and the eggplant dish we got was good too. The chow mein was good. I did like the cucumber salad, but it would be better if it were sliced smaller, so the marinade could infuse the cucumbers. Service was friendly. Food was very fresh. I did notice the portion sizes were generous and we had plenty of leftovers!

Large portion (especially for $7 when many other restaurants charge $10+ for this dish) and flavored well. A little bit spicy but mostly savory. We arrived around 12:30pm, and were seated immediately at the corner of the communal table. Service was bare minimal but efficient. We ordered via a QR code, and helped ourselves to the water already at the table. There's a self-serve sauce bar near the entrance as well. The restaurant wasn't too big inside and there was a short line outside while we're there. The line went away pretty quickly, though. Food came out within 10 minutes after placing our order. I had their Signature Free Range Chicken Big-bus Miishien Soup for the "crossing the bridge noodles" experience. The broth was piping hot and very flavorful. I put all the fixings and noodles into the broth except the cashew nuts and the chicken, which I put in right before I was about to eat them. The chicken was very lean and tender. I even ate the skin as there's no fat attached to it. I also loved the texture of the noodles. The mushroom was great, just too little of it. I wish they had used corn ribs or another vegetable as the corn kernels were very hard to fish from the broth. While it was a delicious and satisfying bowl of noodles, the "Big-bus" version was a bit overpriced. Our daughter liked her Small Pot Spicy Ground Pork Miishien Soup (Less Spicy), especially how the mini Chinese donuts soaked up the broth. I had a bit of her broth and ground pork, and it was yummy with just a bit of numbing spininess. We both liked their pickles from the sauce bar and at the table. My husband enjoyed his Small Pot Spicy Ground Pork Miishien Soup with free extra miishien as well. After selecting Checkout on Chowbus, payment was done via a staff who came by. I signed up for their rewards program when I ordered, and got 10% off. I would love to come back and try their spicy beef noodles. I noticed a promo sign outside the restaurant for some of their noodle dishes (@$12.99) from Monday to Thursday, during specific hours.

The fries were the spiciest item I had that day, wow! I ordered the Sichuan chicken cold noodles, extra spicy. They were not spicy at all. I left everyone at the table try them and they all agreed it was not spicy. Kind of disappointing, I expected them to be spicier than the fries at least. I had just been to a new-to-me one that had micro chicken bits coated in mega thick batter, and I was still smarting from that experience. But I overcame my fear of a repeat experience and ordered the Orange Chicken lunch special. What a difference! This place is really really good! You can see the included chicken salad is put together with care and multiple ingredients: shredded chicken, fried won ton skin, almonds, nice dressing. Impressed. My chicken came and big pieces! You bite into one and it's substantial white breast meat - wow, nice! I'm just too used to biting into battered chicken or pork and feeling like other places used junk bits hiding within the batter and sauce. But Taba Taba uses quality meat and a more sophisticated orange peel sauce. You can see/find the dried orange peel within the sauce which gives it a more complex flavor. I really liked it. The chow mein was good too - not oily at all. The service was friendly and great too. The woman who served us was friendly and really really attentive to all tables, looking around to see what was needed, making sure everyone was doing OK, whether water needed to be refilled, picking up the check as soon as the credit card was put down on the check. A real care factor above and beyond what you normally find. She chatted with my wife too for a bit on our way out - friendly and warm. I usually don't make a point of saying, "The food is really good here", but I felt compelled to. I know that Chinese food restaurants, the vast majority, do cater to American tastes, so the food isn't strictly "authentic" - just a reality of who the audience is. But even so, this was done at an elevated level that satisfies the American taste, while adding some richness/subtlety to the flavors that makes it better than your typical Chinese restaurant. I'd be very happy to come here again. I talked a lot about the food and service, but the decor was also nice - pretty typical, nothing outstanding in this regard, but the food and service are so much more important to me anyway, and those were definitely strong points of Taba Taba.
