Stopped here on our way to Kapalua zip lines. They have a nice breakfast menu and pretty good prices too. The best part for me, being from Texas, was the fresh brewed ice tea from the coffee bar. Honolulu Store plate lunch was very tasty. And great price -$6.99 for kalua pork and two scoops rice. I should have gotten one scoop rice and mac salad but zoned out from snorkeling all morning at Honolua Bay (excellent!). I had white rice and fried rice. The fried rice was ridiculously good. The plate lunch is plentiful. If you aren't used to fatty foods, eat a bit and take the rest home. We sat down to eat outside and dove into our lunch. My traveling companion was doubtful about the local fair and she loved it. Lunch is served until 3pm. The other deli items looked really good. And breakfast is supposed to be good. The man behind the deli case was super nice and helped us understand everything on the menu. The store is full of water, sodas, drinks,supplies of all sorts. And souvenirs (of course). Excellent deli and shop on your way up north. Large menu of hot food that is surprisingly good and a convenience store with everything you need. Feedback: I would give 5 stars except the serve all the food in recyclable to-do boxes, but they do Not recycle them! Please get compostable boxes or adult plates that you can wash. The Honolulu Store was our one stop shop for mostly everything we needed to outfit our villa with food, drinks, and things for our stay in Kapalua. We also stopped at the coffee shop inside quite a bit for iced coffees and such, which was great to have near by. We didn't take advantage of it much - because we bought groceries - but they also have a deli where you can take out breakfast, lunch and dinner items to go. The only thing we didn't find there was like chicken, or meats to make for dinners, but otherwise I would say they are pretty greatly outfitted with everything you may need! read more

General store with reasonably priced breakfast, lunch, and dinner options when dining at the ritz gets too rich for your blood. Daily specials and consistency kept us coming back for a whole week. Some of our regular favorites included the kalua pork loco moco and the island breakfast. Skip the waffles as they don't come out crisp, probably due to the humidity everywhere. Seating is exclusively outside and the coffee line tends to run long. Order your food first and get in line for coffee. By the time your food is ready, you'll be at the head of the line. Save your receipts for some free stuff before you leave the island. read more

Great little store! We stayed at the Ritz and after spending $45 for two drinks thought we'd stock up at this store. Not disappointed at all! Wine and beer prices are reasonable - they could jack them up considering where they are. They have snacks, fruits, meds - pretty much anything you need. The staff is extremely friendly as well. On our last day we decided to get hot breakfast and it was not only economical, it was a really tasty meal! This store is a must visit if you're staying at the Ritz. read more

This is a great spot to find anything you need while you're visiting Maui. They have a great hot breakfast. We ate our Kim Chee Fried rice and eggs breakfast outside on their picnic tables. But beware, they may not be as clean as you think. We witnessed three teenage boys standing on top of the table barefoot to get a good picture. Gross! The Kahlua Pork Loco Moco is so incredibly tasty! Great deal and lots of food for only $6.99. Very tasty, strong espresso drinks as well. Tables outside to enjoy your food while looking out at the beautiful Kapalua Golf Course. The store is filled with lots of fun souvenirs as well. It's just a deli basically but we all loved our breakfast. Don't really care for the process of waiting in line to order food then waiting in another line for coffee and to pay them a third line to wait for the food to be ready but the food was really good. We had breakfast there recently and it was terrible! Biscuits were doughy and eggs were rubber like! This place is not the same since ABC stores took over! ABC is a franchise which all they care about is the almighty dollar! Even checking out they were asking us if we wanted this and that! I know that's how they're trained but it was annoying! I was hesitant to explore this store due to the high $$$$ rumors of all things on Maui and frankly expected this store to fall in-line especially being so close to high-end resorts. However, I was convinced through our guidebook "Maui Revealed" that this is a little hidden gem among the landscape of Kapalua. We ordered burgers, one of them being a Kobe Beef Burger, and it didn't disappoint. The coffee and smoothie bar was refreshing, even serving an affogato which was by far my favorite pick me up. Been coming to Kapalua for 30 years, and it's still a special place for me. Have been going to Honolua store all that time. Stopped in for breakfast burrito this morning and it was the same as usual - not the greatest ever, but pretty good. However, what really surprised and disappointed me was the attitude of several of the employees - not just unhelpful, but actually outright unfriendly. It felt like they were doing me a favor just allowing me to be there. I realize these have been difficult years with Covid, but yikes. Then as I was leaving I made the mistake of asking for an empty cup so I could split the juice I bought with my daughter who has a cold. The barista's response was literally "you need to buy a cup - we have to pay for them, and so do you." I don't know who's running Honolua these days, but I'd suggest you have some work to do with your customer service. Meanwhile, for the rest of the week that I'm here I'll be going elsewhere for my breakfast. read more

Who knew that staying at the Ritz-Carlton in posh Kapalua would score my wife and me an inexpensive, clean, organized, and tasty convenience store and deli just outside the entrance to the hotel, an easy walk away? Yes, it's true, because the Honolua Store is it! We may have been staying at the Ritz, but it was on business, and we don't have the bank account to eat all of our meals there. So having the Honolua Store so close was really nice, but would it be any good? Yes, oh yes, it was! I was surprised at the quality and variety of food items, the reasonably priced coffee (a hot 12-oz. cup of 100% Kona coffee for less than $2? Get out of here!), and the large number of grocery items, sundries, and reasonably priced souvenirs in the store, including some of the best deals you are going to find on touristy clothing outside of a Wal-Mart. We purchased everything here from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to Maui Vera sunburn gel (which was worth the extra money but cost far less than what it costs at the store inside the Ritz). Most of the staff were friendly and offered frequent "alohas" to us when we came by. The seating outside was on picnic benches and outdoor tables, and we were always able to get a spot in the shade when we ate, and the view isn't bad either, with the lush golf course right across the street. In fact, we saw several golfers stop off before the next hole to pick up some goodies. Loved the hash brown scramble, the garlic shrimp with rice, and the fresh salads and wraps. Some people have reviewed the food as mediocre, but that was not my experience at all. As good as the Ritz? Well, duh, no, of course not! You are paying a fraction of the price, and well worth every dollar. Some have lamented the fact that the ABC Store chain bought out this place awhile back. I never visited here under the previous ownership, but I can't see how anything here can disappoint that badly. I think the ABC Store chain throughout the islands is the greatest set of stores to have available to any mainland traveler because they are not only convenient, they aren't spartan, dark, seedy, and scary like some little convenience marts can be. So here's to the Honolua Store, and a big thanks to them for running a great little business. :o) read more

I absolutely love this store. It was right next door to our hotel, the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua, and I was so happy to be able to walk there. The food at the deli is amazing and they have a Dole Whip machine!! You can't lose. There is a coffee and pastry shop and a great selection of food, coffee, gifts, clothing, sunblock and Macadamia Nuts. The staff is sweet, helpful and considerate. Went there twice for breakfast and coffee. Walk to the back of the store and place your order at the counter. There's a pretty large selection for breakfast that has items such as omelets, french toast, short stacks, loco mocos, and even saimin. Everything is reasonably priced for Maui, which was great. After ordering, walk up to the coffee bar that you passed while walking to the back. Try a flavored coffee (vanilla macnut was the one I think I had) and wait for your name to be called for your breakfast. After you get your breakfast, go outside on the porch and grab one of the many picnic tables to enjoy your morning. read more

The historical Honolua Store is a popular Kapalua landmark featuring local produce, gourmet cheeses, beer and wine. This is a great stop to get an iced coffee before heading north to the Kaukini Gallery. We didn't make it back for breakfast, but they have a crabcake benedict for $6.95! Very unorganized and food tasted like it had been sitting in the freezer for a while. Rice had a similar consistency to cardboard. If I could give zero stars I would. The manager contacted us offering a refund but never actually gave us the refund. Would stay away from this place at all costs. Much, much better options available. Refund showed up on credit card statement 4 months after visit to restaurant. read more
