Don't stop here no matter what - go to any other location or any other wind spot on 192. Second trip back, first stop was a few months back and during a sporting event, and service was a mess. Was rolling by and wanted some wings, so decided to try again. Nope - even worse. Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of the brand since way back and I know service industry and customer service. Stopped in mid afternoon on a Saturday, parking lot was empty, and we thought it'd be a quick stop. Turns out they were on a 30 minute wait due to kitchen back up. As we waited for a table, people kept coming in and they could sit at the bar, which - guess what, extended the kitchen backup. So table wait turned into 45 minutes. Now sure, I was hungry, maybe even hangry, but if it was just that - no problem. Put in our drink order, about 15mins later the (very nice) waitress (I think Natalie) - said the bar was backed up, so she was putting in the drink order now, and would we like to order food. Sigh - OK. So we order, beer arrives, drink it in about 30 mins, no food, no followup. After an hour waiting for food with no offer of a second beer (we have now been here 2 hours!) we ask for the manager. The manager was nice - stated she was new and trying to make the location better. We let her know the situation, she offered to comp the food portion, which was nice, as well as a $25 gift card to get us to come back and try again. Good job to her, and she did seem to care. I explained I had been empty on beer about 30 mins and would really like a refill, especially with 3 mile wings coming. Started eating, food was hot and decent, still nothing. After 20 mins, and observing the bartenders just standing there (bar had emptied out) - I walked to the bar and asked for a beer which they poured and gave me. I went back and asked for the manager to return. A different manager "Darius" walked over and explained the day shift manager was gone. This gentleman has no business being a manager and I really advise finding someone who knows what customer service means. I explained to him that after complaining about the hour wait and no beer, I still had no beer and went to the bar to get it. His answer was that the order printer had jammed and the bartenders did not get the order. My response was with the complaint especially, the previous manager or the waitress should have stayed on top of it, followed up, and made sure we go the order. A brief exchange and he asked what he could do about it to make it better for us. I did tell him the food was comped, but I wanted to give feedback on how to respond when a customer has complaints. He replied that there was nothing he could do, the printer jammed. Sigh....well, OK - want to make it better? We'll take another $25 card. He left, came back and said "sorry, I am out of the cards." - previous manager had a stack, he is out? Maybe too many complaints...Ok we respond, if you want to make it better, comp the last beer it took an hour for me to go get myself - he leaves, comes back and says "she comped the food, we can't do both" - Ok, so Darius can't do anything to help. Noted. We ask to please bring the check so we can pay, and we wanted to still tip the hard working waitress. She brings the check and tells us that the she asked Darius what was going on and he answered he had no idea. I told her my negative opinion of Darius, and her answer was "yeah, we get a lot of complaints on him" - well, I know the fix....Now my wife happens to be a former orange shorts wearer, and we advised our waitress to switch to a different location, this place was a clear mess. Now, if the management of this failing location really care and want to make it better, here is my tip. Advise the waitresses to round on their tables frequently, keep them updated of your overloaded kitchen staff, and here is the key part - have your "managers" round on the tables at least once during each guest's visit and validate that everything is going well. We never saw a manager on the floor until we asked for one. I'll forward this to Hooters feedback as well, but I have my doubts that any of the management at this location will take the time to read this far. W ill we use our gift card and try again here? I really doubt it. Maybe for some takeout some time, but there are way better locations in the area to spend your money. read more

Decided to come here last minute to place a to-go order and was told that we couldn't place a to-go order because they had stopped them for the night. I asked the very nice woman what time they normally stop taking to-go orders and she let me know that they normally don't have a cut off, but they had two cooks walk out on them in the middle of the shift so they had to stop for the night, but we could still get a table and eat in. We decided to go ahead and do that. After we ordered our food two of our friends said they'd head over and join us, but this was within 20 minutes to their close time so we asked our waitress if that was okay and she said yes. After about 5 more minutes we decided to go ahead and just order food for our friends in case they didn't make it before close, we didn't want to make the kitchen stay open later than they had to because we knew they were understaffed. I guess our waitress had let her manager know we were still expecting two people (either he or the kitchen was probably asking to make sure no one still needed to put any food orders in before the kitchen closed) and I suppose he really did not like that. He came over to the table he thought she was talking about, which was actually a different table than us of some coworkers we know, before they had to point him in our direction because we had been talking with one of our friends at their table and she knew about our friends being on the way. When he got to our table he was very aggressive in asking us if we were the ones expecting two more and when we said yes he asked how long until they got there, and we said we were pretty sure it would actually end up being about 5 minutes past closing so we were going to go ahead and order them some wings and possibly just get them in a to-go container. He very quickly and rudely told us no, we would not be able to do that. I'm not sure why, because it was about 5-10 minutes before closing so I don't see why the kitchen would already be fully closed. However, I do understand that they had two of their cooks walk out on them so perhaps the cook that was left had started closing early so he wouldn't be there an hour longer than normal which is totally understandable. The issue we had was with how rude the manager was being to us. He told us no we couldn't order any more food, and my friend and I said that was okay. He then asked what we wanted to order for our other friends and we told him the wings they wanted, and he asked us what kind and we said bone in, and he again asked us what kind and kept being very aggressive and rude in talking to us about this. Because he was making us so uncomfortable with how he was handling this situation and making it so difficult we told him to forget about the wings and we'd figure out something else for our friends. Our friends ended up getting there about 2 minutes after closing while we were waiting for our to-go boxes for our own food, and since the doors to the restaurant were still open they came inside to say hi to us and wait for us to leave. The manager basically materialized out of no where behind our friends and started yelling at them and was saying that he needed to know who they were. We told him they were our friends we had been talking about previously, and he said they were not welcome in the restaurant because it was past close, which is a fair observation however he did not say any of this with anything near to being a customer service appropriate voice or attitude. We said we were just about to leave and were only waiting on our to-go boxes. He then began interrogating our friends on how they even got into the restaurant, and they told him that they walked in through the front doors. I'm not sure how else he thought they were able to get into the restaurant. He continued to yell at them that they needed to get out of the restaurant, so they told us they'd be waiting for us out front. We decided to leave without our to-go boxes because at this point it very much did not seem worth it. Judging by the looks on the faces of the women working there I would guess this is not the first time the manager has acted like an asshole towards customers, and after reading other reviews on here it definitely is not. We still left a 20% tip on our tab because our waitress was extremely nice, and every other woman working there that we interacted with was also very nice and very patient with us. However, I do not see myself ever coming back to this location, and quite honestly any Hooter's location, again simply because of how the manager treated us. I have dealt with rude or dismissive staff when dining out before, but never from a manager and never to the point where myself or others in my party were being quite literally yelled at for basically no reason. I would say don't waste your money here and instead just go to the Applebee's that is literally right next door. read more

A new sports bar, family restaurant has opened in Kissimmee. Hooters has taken over the building that was once Logan's Steakhouse. Inside there are tons of tables, booths or high tops and a large bar in the center of the room. There are also plenty of TVs showing multiple games so you won't miss out. We came early Friday evening and had no wait. Our waitress was really nice and very attentive! We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer and it was perfect for 4 people to share. They were delicious!!!For an entree I got General Tso boneless wings with a side of dressing. They were just your basic chicken nuggets but I wouldn't get the General Tso sauce again, it just wasn't my favorite. In town on vacation and were looking for a place to order takeout that had options everyone could agree on. Hooters seemed like the closest and most viable option. Placed order for takeout at 5:15pm. Confirmation said order would be ready at 5:40pm. Arrived and waited 30 minutes for the food, which was finally ready at 6:10pm. Restaurant was at about 40% capacity when I was there. So nearly an hour from time of order being placed to get 20 wings, chicken tenders, and a three kids meals (fried shrimp and sliders). And btw, the $10+ chicken strip basket comes with five strips, which are each basically the size of a normal chicken strip sliced long ways. Learn from our mistake and go with the kids meal that comes with three strips, fries, and a drink for $5 vs. this measly overpriced basket that does not include fries. As for the food, general consensus from all parties was, "meh." Obviously this was takeout so we didn't get to eat it fresh from the kitchen, but even after excusing the lukewarm temperature and general sogginess, nobody has any interest in ever considering Hooters takeout again. read more

Visited this location while traveling and came for the experience. No different than any other restaurant. However, wait time was an absolute nightmare. I get that places are busy but it was absolutely insane I think we waited over an hour for 10 wings. The server was not friendly at all in the experience was nothing special. Prices were reasonable and food tasted good. People were complaint all over the restaurant as food was virtually not coming out. Awkward hostess, absent server, and slow service. Monday night, 5pm, 3 people. The hostess looked like she time hopped from the 1920s. She looked confused as she sat tables and awkwardly put menus down as guests began to sit (instead of waiting until everyone was seated). She barely smiled. The server, Brittany, "Britt" was friendly and we didnt notice any red flags right away. After we placed our order we waited patiently while enjoying our time together. Then after a half hour went by we started getting antsy. In that time we saw our server helping one other table. She only had them and us to take care of. Another 15 minutes later and our food finally came. Food tasted good and it was hot. However, my husband had gotten the all you can eat wing special and between orders it took about 20 minutes until he recieved the next set of wings. I know this is standard to take time between orders for the customer to "fill up," but there was barely anyone in the restaurant. And he ordered the next set once he received a new flavor. When she brought the last order of wings we asked for our check. It took another 10 minutes for the check to come and the price was incorrect! I kept looking around for the server but she was no where to be found. We were her only table at this point. I saw the hostess seat another group of 3 at a table nearby. They got our server. She took their drink order and after 10 minutes you could see them looking around for our server. I overheard the guy say "10 minutes for water, really?" Meanwhile we were still waiting for her to come back to our table! After she finally dropped off their drinks I yelled for her. She had completely forgotten about us. She literally said so. I brought the incorrect bill to her attention and she said she would correct it. We knew the correction would take a minute since she had to get a manager, but again we were waiting longer than it should have. I was getting pissed at this point. I was one second away from getting up and getting the manager when she popped out of nowhere with our credit cards and corrected bills. As we were leaving I told that other table "If I were you I'd demand another server. That took 2 hours." They were appalled and thanked me. For the first hour we were there I did not see a manager. I only saw one later on helping deliver and expedite food. While watching him work, he did not seem cable of the job. He lacked leadership and control. He appeared to be the type that would just sit in the office until "needed." Which is probably what he was doing the whole first hour of our visit. I spent most of the visit looking around for the server. It was not busy and every time we did see her it was like she was busy with 20 tables. To be honest, I would not have felt bad walking out on that check. And I bet she wouldn't have noticed until she needed to cash out at the end of her shift. Have not been to a Hooters in about 10 years so we stopped in to try this one. Some good and bad just like most places. Pros: Lots of TV's. Looks like a great place for football Sundays. Steamed Shrimp - wife loved it. Good tasting and the right size portion for her. Irish Rita - Very good. I am a fan. Fried Pickles - Love fried pickles. Wish the batter had a little spice to it though. Fairly bland. Cons: Service - I know many servers at Hooters are not picked for their service skills but ours was not very well trained. Had to ask twice for water. Just the impression of a very poorly trained server. Texas Cheese Steak - Had high hopes for it but not very good. The sauce used does not have much flavor. Bonus points though for the fresh jalapeños on it. French Fries - I love curly fries but these could have been cooked about 1 minute more. They were still a pasty white. Would I go back - yes. Will definitely give it a second chance and hope some of the kinks are worked out. read more

Took about 20 mins for food but they are doing A LOT of training so it's excusable right now. Ordered breaded mild wings and they are much more breaded than they used to be. They were mild, but didn't have much flavor so they were sent back. Ordered naked wings and the recovery time was literally minutes and were hand delivered by the kitchen manager. They were great! The worst service I have ever received in my life. Went in with 8 guest. It was empty maybe 2 or 3 smaller groups. They never placed utensils on the table, they didn't pour the water for anyone, after ordering they never removed the menus. They brought cups and drinks and literally went above our heads and leaned over us to listen or give us the drink. Ordered fried shrimp and the Shrimp was cold. We had items missing from each persons plate. It took 45 minuets to get 2 orders of wings out. We were never asked if refills were needed. Several time I actually had to get up a look for our waitress. This was the worst service and worst meal ever. They don't seem like they even want to work and if so they should just close this place down. This is a common tourist area and you're just making Orlando look bad. read more
