I've realized Hooters on Coral Way is officially my go-to spot for food and drinks. Parking is super easy with the nearby garage, and the service has always been great so I really feel at home here. The chili is outstanding, just the right amount of spicy, and the wings are absolutely astronomical no matter how you like them. Curly fries are always hot and perfectly crispy, and I always get the tater tots just plain with ketchup. They come out perfectly hot and crispy every time, absolutely delicious. This time I tried their burger (medium rare with lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions) and was honestly shocked by how good it was. It was far better than most restaurant burgers. I paired everything with a pitcher of Dos Equis and one of Voodoo Ranger, both ice-cold and spot on. Classic spot you can never go wrong with. This particular Hooters was not my favorite to say the least. And that is putting in lightly! First of all the place just looked filthy and furniture looks worn and torn. The service was minimal and inconsistent. To be honest, I felt like we were hunting down our server for a good 15-20 minutes with no sight of her. I get it, girls there are good looking but you can be nice, fun and good looking. This server made us feel like we were bothering her and had some extra little attitude doing it. I did not appreciate the service one bit. In fact I was looking for her so we can quickly pay the bill and get the heck out of there but she disappeared for about a half hour! No lie, so unprofessional but then again what can you expect from a Hooters server. The other thing is that the music was blasting so loud it was the most annoying and stressful thing while trying to talk to the person in front of me and have a "peaceful" meal. There is no peaceful dining at Hooters! The food was also just OK. Nothing special nothing spectacular..with so many other establishments offering great food, service and ambience, I don't think I'll be returning to this Hooters. Thanks but no thanks. My service caught and attitude because I said the shrimp were dry. She orginally caught an attitude before that due to adding a water to my friends drink when she didn't ask her. When the limit was also added to the side of the cup, once it reached, I simply told her my friend that I would take off the lemon. She's stated and grabbed the cup implying " I'll take it back". I wasn't even speaking to her and had to reassure her that it was ok and she just walked off. Another server then walked up and said her name and act were we ok. I answered and she walked off. No one showed until after 10 minutes! I spotted the manager once I saw some of the servers huddled together and saw that he was the main attraction in the middle. I had to. Ask was he the manager. It's been a while since I had a meal from Hooters, so this past Sunday with my wife's blessing we went for some lunch. The Coral Way locations was packed due to the Dolphins game, but we were seated right away. We decided to order their famous fried pickles, curly fries and their chicken wings with a light dose of buffalo sauce. The fried pickles were the best part of the meal, nicely breaded and packed with flavor, the dipping sauce also gave it a tangy kick. The fries were very bland and the breading of the wings had a buttery aftertaste, while the buffalo sauce was not as tasty. Haven't been here in a very long time. Service was good. Very attentive staff. Always a good vibe when dining at hooters. The food on the other hand was just okay. I was disappointed bc the food wasn't even like warm. It was cold. Tasted like the fries were just sitting there and they serve it to the customers. Wasn't fresh at all, cold and stale. No crunch at all. Mini burgers were also cold. I suggest getting the food out to the customer as soon as possible instead of letting it sit. She bragged about their salad (and I wanted to help her pick out a Halloween costume from their merchandise counter up front.) Service overall was pleasant, with our waitress taking our picture and attentive with my usual customization of my order. They had plenty of TV's around. The salad my date ordered was surprisingly delicious. Although she ordered the plain grilled (they call it their Wise Choice salad), it had plenty of chicken pieces along with cheese, tomatoes and corn. Craving something more substantial, I enjoyed their buffalo chicken sandwich (the sauce passed my spiciness test) with double fries and no coleslaw. I've been coming here for over 10 years already and it's the best hooters location I've been to in all of the US! Hooters have been closing down like flies but there's a reason this one stays open and I hope they keep it that way!! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and free parking which is god sent now a days in Miami. The service is fast even when we've been on weekends. In my opinion, this location beats Flanagan's and Chilis combined!! I always order the Thai chili breaded chicken wings which aren't too spicy and sweet. Hooters makes the best breaded wings everrrr that batter recipe is more valuable than the krusty krab burger. Depending on how healthy I wanna eat, I'll go with the chili cheese fries or just cheese fries alone. The chili is delicious loaded with veggies and beans and the curly fries are iconic with the cheese. Last time I went, they forgot to add jalapeños and sour cream so I had to ask for it but it was super packed. It just makes the fries so those toppings are must! Yes I am 5 feet 100 pounds and yes I will finish all these fries they're perfect and even better with a $5 margarita. If you order online and pick up in store, be sure to check the order before you leave or just call the store and place it directly.
