I am visiting from another city. Upon walking into the building I was told that you order from the bar for takeout. I sat at the bar for and for 5 or so minutes while the waitresses had conversations with each other I wasn't acknowledged or spoken to or even told that someone would get with me in a second. So I used to go here. The food is always mediocre because let's be honest, we're paying for the thighs and shorts... not the quality of food or service. I was told that i was being a "nuisance" to the waitresses, that's hilarious because I didn't know tipping .30-.40 of a the bill on a weekly basis is considered a nuisance. The food at most Hooters is generally inconsistent, with this establishment being no different. On some days, the chicken is well cooked and has a generous amount of wing sauce. On other days, you can expect dry chicken with only a hint of sauce. Your best bet is taking advantage of the the $5.99 lunch sandwich platter from Monday to Friday (4 sandwich options including buffalo chicken, grilled chicken, and hamburger; I can not remember the 4th). The service at this particular Hooters is excellent (and not just for the view, which incidentally is also far above average). The outdoor seating is pleasant and relaxing. Free parking is a plus in this part of Miami. This review is based upon only visits at about lunch time on weekdays. Until they fix the consistency problem, this restaurant gets 3 stars. read more

This Hooters has beautiful women but most important SUPERB service even during the most busy of times. I'm in town visiting and was returning a rental car next door. I had a long stressful morning and was looking forward to drinks and a good meal to unwind at Hooters. I was looking to have a good time and spend some money. Camille was my bartender and she had no interest in giving actual service. She never once checked on me throughout my meal. She also made multiple errors on my order which I noticed when I got my bill. I ordered a double shot of Jameson and got a single instead. I ordered 2 sides of celery with my wings and she only ordered one. Now, this was 3pm and there was nobody at the bar. She was just making mistakes because she didn't care about me or good service. She never smiled, never was friendly or welcoming. I will say that the two waitresses I flagged down to fix what my order was missing were nice, helpful, and friendly. The wings were good as well. After feeling like I was just a nuisance to Camille, I paid my tab and took an Uber to Monty's where I dropped $200 and had a wonderful time. read more

This was the WORST customer service experience I have ever had! It was like the whole staff was in a bad mood! I arrived and waited at the hostess stand for 5-7 minutes without being acknowledged. Two girls came up to drop off menus and said nothing. Finally the girl came up to seat us. We ended up at a dirty table. The hostess said she would wipe it down but never came back. I was wrongfully informed (twice) by the hostess, both in a phone call and in person that they were showing a ppv fight tonight. I asked our waitress to show the fight at one of the screens as the fights had already begun. She did nothing. I talked to the manager and asked if he would show the fight and he gladly said yes. He fuddled around with the remote pretending to put on the fight and then informed me that they were not showing it. To note, the hooters has billboards on their wall of the ppv event. I ordered from this location last week via UberEats and it was absolutely delicious. I then tried to order today for pickup and it was a very different experience to say the least. First off, Melody was completely lost with the menu. After each request I was responded with "one moment please" and it took her 30 seconds to find each item in the computer. Then the issue moved on to not having more than half of our requested items available at the moment. This included nachos, queso dip and chicken breast strips. But the one that took the cake was when Melody informed me that they did not have ginger ale, coke, or any soda available. I'm not exactly sure how a sports bar doesn't have soda but here we are. This entire ordeal took about 10 minutes just to communicate my order for a family of 6. Then when I tried to pay Melody informed me that because the order was over $100, she would need to input it as two separate orders because it was simply impossible to process an order of over $100. I'm not sure if this was an issue with this Hooters location, Melody, or the system they were using but the entire experience from beginning to end was the biggest waste of 30 minutes I've ever encountered. Very poor service. Servers don't care when they bring the food. Ordered chilli and it was cold; I had to ask 3 times for them to heat it up and put cheese on it, and they still couldn't get it right. Then went to manager, whom the girls said was busy on the phone and was not available. Finally 40 minutes after all these issues, the manager comes out, tells me the chilli was hot, and that I was wrong about it. He did not offer to compensate me, fix it, or get me something else. I must say I now completely understand the draw of this place. Before, I thought only idiots would pile up in a crowded bar to overpay for mediocre food and over-tip for fake flirting. The Hooters girls reel them in, we unbait them. But, alas, I digress...I shall begin with the high points. The service was impeccable. I really gotta give it to our hostess with the long dark hair to her waist and the cute butt. She was on point. Kept bringing ice bags so the beer wouldn't get warm, and regularly checked in on us to see if we needed anything. She suggested we sign up for the raffle. They were giving away Heat tickets later. One guy from our table actually won them and, of course, her pretty-girl-syndrome kicked right in and she wanted to take all the credit: "Seeee, I told you guys to sign up! Good thing I did, huh?!?" Winning the tickets was cool, except they advertised 4 but only gave him 2. It's a contest so they could do whatever they want, I guess. Anyway, the food. I finally got to try the famous chicken wings everybody goes to Hooters for (wink, wink). I regret to confirm that they actually go for the hooters. The wings were ok, but the ones at The Bar are way better. And if you like spicy, you should order the spiciest ones (nuclear, I believe) because they're actually not very hot at all. They didn't bring even a sliver of celery, which I thought was a FAIL. Buffalo wings and celery go together like bright orange shorts and white hightops. The curly fries w/ cheese on the side were good, but the portion way too small. That's about all we ate because we were focused on the beering, which was delicious. No complaints there. There is free parking in the shopping mall the restaurant is a part of, which is remarkable for the Gables. It is a difficult garage to maneuver around and the spots are a bit tight, but it's FREE, ninja, it's FREE! Overall, a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Never though I'd be a Hooters fan, but it's A-OK! Have come here a few times because it's close to home...and well my hubby likes the wings. Lucky for me, they have oysters as well! My new obsession! The oysters here are not bad at all, I was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of the oysters. The service is actually pretty good as well and the girls are really nice. It's fun to watch guys overtip and actually think they have a chance with the hooters girls, so it makes for good people watching lol. I enjoy the oysters, boneless wings, lots of tots and fries - so two thumbs up on those items. Def get cheese on the side for the fries - love their melty cheese!!! The lots of tots is SOOO good, it's an order of tater tots with sour cream, bacon, chives and melty cheese all over it. MMMM MMMM Fatteningly delicious. I give it a three stars because the wings don't thrill me and well it is just bar food after all. Haven't been to Hooters in a very long time! Maybe 15+ years but I must say that I'll be coming here more often. The location is perfect so after some shopping, not a bad idea to stop in for some wings! We ordered 20 mild wings, burger sliders appetizer as well as an order of curly fries. Our appetizers were taking long but I honestly don't like to complain. It's just not me. Plus don't want any spit on my food. Without me having to say anything, the manager Ray came to our table and offered us a free appetizer because our sliders ended up on the floor. Hubby says thanks for being honest and we gladly accepted some mozzarella sticks but not because we demanded it or anything. Why be an asshole? They already had two drunk guys giving them a hard time! The manager brought over the mozzarella sticks which were actually SUPER good. So was the marinara sauce. Then came our delicious wings and curly fries with nacho cheese! One bite from one of those wings and I was hooked! They were breaded and mild and just PERFECT! Next time we'll test out the "HOT" ones. The burger sliders were very good too. Overall it was a great experience. The reason for not giving a five star was because of the slow service. Aside from the burger incident, I think the waitress could have been just a little more attentive. It was not very busy at all. Maybe that's the norm so people could enjoy the buzz and watch whatever sports game is on. So no hard feelings The food was EXCELLENT and manager was GREAT so I'll definitely be back. Definitely not the best place to watch sporting events as their Tv's are not positioned to accommodate all tables like other Hooters locations are, so it is a bit uncomfortable.
