Guys, I wanted to hate this place. Like I really, really wanted to hate this place. I hate that they've made it normal to objectify women, and I hate that their entire atmosphere is based off this "men only like boobs and beer" mentality. It's just gross. But I let a friend talk me into coming here to watch a Football game and enjoy their Monday night all-you-can-eat nachos, and I ...I have nothing bad to say. You have no idea how much this upsets me. The waitress was phenomenal. Half-way through each all-you-can-eat-order, she'd check in and ask if we wanted to get our next order in so we were never without food. Drinks were refilled when they were about 1/4 to 1/2 full - so we were never out of drinks. She was super friendly and checked in often. The manager even checked in a couple times. The game was playing on most of the TVs while a couple random TVs had other things to watch for non-game fans. The sound was loud enough to be heard while not loud enough to distract from conversation. Perfect. The food itself was pretty good. I'm not usually a huge chicken fan, but I enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan boneless ones. Always came out warm with the right amount of sauce. In fact, even if you weren't getting "all you can eat", the friend who regularly goes to Hooters says that their boned ones are waaaay larger than most Hooters, so you get a ton of food to eat. And the bill wasn't bad. $12 for all-you-can-eat boneless and $15 for boned on Monday nights after 6PM. Plus a couple beers, and you have a totally-decent bill for a two-hour stay. I still hate everything that this damned chain stands for - including the normalization of objectifying women. But as far as a restaurant experience goes, I have to admit that it was amazing. Note: It seems like other reviewers have said it's had a renovation recently, so it may not be the same Hooters that some of the older reviews are mentioning. read more

Arrived and waited almost 5 minutes to be seated in a half empty restaurant. The bartender who I learned was the manager saw us waiting to be seated and didn't come over to assist. We were finally shown to a table and told our server would be right with us. We waited and observed the same server who seated us, seated another party behind us. Within 3 minutes she was back at the table behind us taking their order. We still had not seen a server. I stopped her and asked who our server was, she didn't respond, walked away and appeared to be 'looking' for someone. She then went to computer to input an order, still ignoring us. At this point we got up to leave. The same server saw us leaving and didn't apologize or even appear to care. At this point I observed same server and another server talking and I asked for the manager. One went to get the manager who was sitting down eating and appeared to be annoyed that a customer wanted to speak to him. He did come up to the front and I told him what happened. He appeared to be concerned however again we observed him talking and ignoring customers as well. I go to different Hooters as I visit new places. I've been to MB a lot and have visited both locations several times. I went to the other one last time so decided to go to this one this time. The service was good and the food was as well. I was a little sad that they didn't have bacon wrapped wings but the beer slowly took over and the regular wings were still great. Ugh! No Fried pickles, no fried cheese sticks and no summer shandy. Apparently the busiest week of the year and the staff could give a crap. Such a disappointment! Ordered garlic Parmesan breaded wings and super greasy and soggy... awful Ordered Daytona wings which were good as usual Ordered 1pound snow crab wings and these were good. So my family I decided to stop for dinner on the way home at this location... well I must first start out with the good my waitress JC was so sweet and amazing she did all she could to make sure we were taken care. We arrived at 7pm and was not seated until 7:30 we order our food and drinks all at once. We ordered a few alcohol beverages we'll need less to say we didn't not get our drinks til one hour later. The bar tender was to busy cleaning and doing other stuff she had to be reminded twice to make our drinks. They were not busy in the restaurant at all. Well at 9pm everyone had received their food but me. I ended up just getting mine to go which did not come until 9:30. It was getting late and we had a long ride to go. She took the drinks off our order but honestly I was not satisfied. Other tables were receiving their orders before us and we all ordered the most simplest items. My brother never got one of his items and he was so angry he just told them not to worry about it. I must say I will never return here again. It took another 45 minutes for them to even get or ticket taken care of. Never again. If you avoid eating her please do. Oh also the toilets wouldn't flush. Went here for the first time this past Sunday. I got the traditional Daytona style wings and shared a side of fries with my fiancé. He got the boneless Daytona wings. I got severely ill about 4hrs later and was laid up all of Monday with severe stomach pain and cramping. Definitely food poisoning but nothing I ever experienced before which leads me to believe it was SALMONELLA! Please please please make sure your food is fresh especially your chicken, for god sakes that's what you're famous for. As for my fiancé he's fine, because I'm almost 100% positive the boneless wings are already cooked and frozen then recooked. At least that's the way they taste. I just hope no one else gets this sick. Also, stay away from the oysters, if they can't do cooked chicken right then raw oysters are gonna kill someone! Visited in Aug 2019, not impressed. Bad vibe, crab legs are a joke so avoid them unless you like giving away money. Waitress was somewhere else the entire time, all the staff seemed like they were watching the clock waiting for closing time (it was 4 p.m.). But nothing says on a different day, it could be a 5 star experience, just seemed like a bad crew the day we were there. As most of you know, Hooters is a large chain restaurant that spans cities in various states across the USA. As with most chains the quality of service and food varies from location to location. Knowing this, I try and visit more than two or more locations of the same restaurant chain and comment on the individual location rather than the whole operation. In the past I have had great experiences at Hooters and let's just say not so great experiences. Today a friend and I decided we would stop into Hooters by the Myrtle Beach Mall before visiting the Bass Pro Shop. Upon entering I immediately took notice of the cleanliness; not a speck on the floor and the tables were spotless, (+ 3 points out of 3 for cleanliness). Next the Bartender was right out from behind the bar to greet us and direct us to our seats in a very cheerful and professional manner, (+ 1 out of a total of 1 host/hostess). The waitress was prompt and friendly and had our drink and app orders taken within minutes, (BTW Waitstaff points are overall and given at the end, so wait for it). Now here is where the first hiccup occurred; after we ordered the appetizer, we were left hanging for a while after we had decided on our main courses and I actually had to remind her that we wanted to order our meal. During our wait for the food we noticed that most of the customers were older men in their late 50's to mid 60's and most of them were competing for the attention of the waitresses by the way of making semi-derogatory comments and jokes that I assume was their way of flirting with women that were young enough to be their granddaughters. This behavior was very off-putting to us and did knock points off of the Atmosphere, (+ 1 out of 2 for Atmosphere). The staff obviously knew how to handle these situations and worked them like pros. So the food came out and the presentation was good. First the app which was the Texas Nachos which we both enjoyed. The fresh cut jalapeños were a great addition. I had the Baja Fish Tacos and my friend had the Blackened Shrimp and Spinach Salad. The food was great and tasted fresh. It wasn't over seasoned and it was under seasoned. The test kitchen really did a great job on both of these dishes, (+3 out of 3 for the taste and presentation of the food). Now to rate the Waitstaff overall......I gave our waitress a 2 out of possible 2 because she recovered nicely from the hiccup of the order wait time by a brief apology and having to deal with the antics of the older, obvious, "Land Sharks", (To use a Jimmy Buffet label) and still give good service. So to recap: *Cleanliness = 3 out of a scale of 0-3 *Host/Hostess = 1 out of a scale of 0-1 *Atmosphere = 1 out of a scale of 0-2 *Waitstaff = 2 out of a scale of 0-2 *Food (Presentation price and Taste) = 3 out of 0-3 So I give them a 10 out of a possible 11 on the made up "Craig Scale of Casual Restaurants" for this visit. read more

it was obvious that they were understaffed, but our waitress was quick and polite despite it! she stopped by the table numerous times despite having a lot of tables to take care of. the food was so good, and the fried pickles are always a must for our family. the only complaint is that the food took a while to come out, but considering the lack of staff, it was no big deal. read more

We used to love eating at Hooters. They had the best chicken wings. But this location is the worst I have ever experienced. We walked in to the restaurant where there were only about 6 tables occupied. We were seated right away and waited on. But the table was dirty. I asked our waitress to clean it and she told me it could not be cleaned. That was just the way it was. I asked three times with no success so I then asked the bartender who graciously came over and cleaned the sticky mess with a hot towel. We waited 30 minutes for food. During this time our waitress never came over and told us why such a long wait. The table behind us had a lot of issues with their food and it seemed like there was no resolution. After 30 minutes we paid $9.00 for a beer that should have been $4.50 and left. I give this location 1 star only because I'm forced to and the bartender was nice. But my advice is avoid this Hooters and go elsewhere for chicken wings. read more

Ordered on ubereats and they said my order was ready. When we arrived (15 mins later) they said it wasn't ready and it would be at least 30 mins until it would be ready. This was our last resort for food because everything closes so early here, so it would've been nice if they didn't tell us the order was going to be ready so we could've continued our search for food elsewhere before everything else closed. We didn't get our food. Consider not lying to your customers out of greed and let them go elsewhere for food if you're that busy. There was also no way for us to get refunded because they didn't cancel our order through the app. Not to mention the cockroaches we saw while entering the building - stay away from this dump. read more

What the biggest issue was that my husband and his friend had ordered food and one beer each and after they had finish the food and beer, they got one Vegas bomb each and the bar cut them off... my husband and his friend are 350+lbs each.... the drinks didn't even make them near tipsy and the bar said they couldn't serve them anymore because they though they had had enough. read more

Absolutely loved it here! Our waitress Alyson was wonderful. She was friendly, helped us make sure we ordered what we wanted and would like. She always there when we needed a refill or to add something and seemed like she didn't mind helping us at all. The manager came by to check on us, the restrooms and tables were clean, the food was awesome! My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better time. Awful experience, not the first time. We are done with this place and Hooters as a whole. Waited forever for waitress to take our order. Beer came fairly quickly. Food took approximately 1/2 hour, beer was done. Hubby ordered another beer and reminded waitress about the basket of fries. 1/2 later hubby stands up and stalks out couldn't find waitress or manager. She finally shows up and asks how things are. "Not good, hubby left, no beer, no fries, feathers all over the wings.", her response, "Ooh." She brings the beer that had been sitting at the bar at least 45 minutes, never saw her again. Manager came up and we told him what happened he comped the "meal" but we'll never go back. Hubs ate probably four of fifteen wings with no beer. read more
