Thigh, Biscuit, Mac & Cheese, Coleslaw, Lemonade, Arnold Palmer

Ponce City Market always makes it hard to pick food because there's so many options, but we ended up trying Hops Chicken after smelling it while walking by. We ordered bone in chicken, mac & cheese, coleslaw, biscuits, lemonade, and an Arnold Palmer. The chicken was fresh with crunchy skin and good flavor. It honestly didn't need sauce. The mac & cheese was thick and creamy, but a little salty for me. The coleslaw was more of a dry style slaw and was not sweet. Not my style. The biscuit was the biggest disappointment. Mine was completely raw in the middle. I still tried the outside part and it was very dry and needed butter. Honey helped a little. I also tried my friend's biscuit since theirs wasn't raw, but it was still really crumbly and dry. If you like soft buttery biscuits, these probably won't be your thing. The lemonade tasted homemade and the Arnold Palmer was refreshing, they had the good pebble ice. Service was fast since they had just open and everyone working there was friendly. Overall, I'd come back for the chicken, but I'd skip the biscuit next time & just try other sides.

Two of us split the fried chicken dinner which came with a side of coleslaw, mac and cheese, a pickled jalapeno and biscuit. The fried chicken breast was bone-in, the meat was so tender and fried very well. We really enjoyed all the sides too. It was the perfect amount to share between too people. We really enjoyed our first meal in Atlanta.

So I have been here before it's been a couple of years. The fried chicken here is good and convenient if you are in the area. They seasoned the chicken it's crispy somewhat not to crunchy though. I got 2 legs and 2 wings that was the price of a meal somewhere else. I would look at the menu to see whether they have a special that is more budget friendly. Pull up and check them out. I visited on 4-18-2026. Hopefully they can bring the health score up also.

Decent value for the price and locale but Bojangles has nothing to worry about. The biscuit itself was extremely crumbly which made the sandwich difficult to eat. The chicken itself was just okay, neither good nor bad, and the "frim fram" sauce (extra charge) was mayo-based and sweet. The requested pimento cheese was unavailable, as were most other cheeses listed. The livers were a generous serving and very freshly overcooked. You'd think with 3 people working BOH and no other customers waiting at least one of them could watch the fryer. All seasoning was AWOL, too. I'm guessing there are better options at Ponce. At least I hope so.

5 stars for Zay and Hydia. Zay provided me with the best customer service. So much so, I initially went there just to buy lemonade for the kids, and I ended up coming back and supporting them again to buy food because I really liked my interaction with him though brief. Hydia was also a sweetheart very helpful when I asked how the food was and if they think I should try it and what they recommend. They were sure to really sell it to me and I did actually end up buying. I asked that everything be made fresh. Zay told me it would take 7 minutes. So I paid, and we went and shopped at Nō mad. I came back right before packing was complete. Of course Zay or Hydia were busy, and the blonde guy Henry, was packaging the food . I will say Henry had a nasty attitude for absolutely no reason. If not for Zay, I would have given this place a negative review just off of the strength of my interaction briefly with Henry. Not nice. When I returned for pick up, Henry had a box in his hand, I saw only two fresh pieces of chicken being added to the box. He closed the box and then called my name. I asked him if everything in the box was made fresh to order per my request because I believe it was a 4 or 5 piece and I only saw two fresh pieces added. A simple yes would have sufficed. He proceeded to get sassy saying, "We cook the pieces of the chicken separately, and of course it's all made fresh". I did not argue with him, I took the food and I moved on. He seemed very perturbed that I even asked a simple question such as hey, just making sure all the pieces were fresh and added to the box per my request. Safe to say one of the pieces was not fresh, which I figured, but the rest were, and it was fine, so I didn't press the issue because I did not want to deal or interact with Mr. Henry again. I will recommend this place just off the strength of the great customer service Zay provided. He was so nice. Didn't seem bothered by his job unlike Mr. Henry. Also, the chicken had no flavor to me, however, because it was made fresh, it was easier to enjoy, and their bread rolls were phenomenal. Be sure to ask for made fresh chicken.

Me and my wife stopped by Ponce City Market to grab some lunch. I decided on trying Hop's. I have seen this place multiple times on my visits to PCM, but never have tried it, so this time around I bit the bullet. I got the chicken sandwich and some tater tots. I ended up having to wait about 20 minutes for my food, which is honestly ridiculous. They don't even have a system of contacting you when your food is ready. No text or buzzer or anything. So I had to stand there by the window the entire time waiting for my food. The food was honestly super mediocre. It did not pass my expectations at all. I always see this place being packed, so I really had high hopes, but it just didn't check out. The tots were boring and whatever. Frozen ones from the grocery store would've done the same. The chef's special chicken sandwich wasn't too flavorful either. It had some type of slaw on it, that ended up making the whole sandwich soggy and it started to fall apart after not even 3 bites. This place was just not worth it to me, and I definitely won't ever be back in the future. There are plenty of other options in this food hall that would be better, at least in my opinion.

Oh man... what a biscuit filled with tender fried chicken! You absolutely can't visit Atlanta without having chicken biscuits. Man am I happy I tried this one. It was delicious, warm flaky biscuit and super tender chicken. The sauces were amazing as well. We got our food super fast after ordering and the guys working were very nice and courteous. The only issue is I don't take any home with me. Can't wait to visit again.

The food blew my expectations, it was DELICIOUS, everything , was seasoned WELL, my whole plate had so much flavor . Service was nice and quick , this place is located Inside the "Ponce City Market" food court area . The meal itself cost 14.99.

Does this look like $6 worth of tater tots? Hop's seems to think so. The first time I visited Hops's 2-3 months ago, my tater tots came in a small brown box (the normal brown box I've seen many other restaurants put their side fries/tots in). No complaints there. Today I visited Hop's for the second time and was very surprised that my bag felt so light. I genuinely thought I picked up someone else's bag. When the employee at the counter confirmed those were my tots, I opened the top and LOLd. 13 tots costs $6 in 2025??? That's wild. The employee sympathized with my frustration, stating that after their manager saw how many tots were being put in the boxes, they were told to use the white containers moving forward. So...instead of directing employees to not overfill the boxes, customers now receive crumbs for $6? Mind you, the first time I bought the side of tots, the box closed perfectly fine. It was not overfilled. It was a normal side of tater tots that I felt justified in buying for $6. What I received today was so laughable. Of course I asked for a refund, but since the employee gave me an additional container, I accepted it and moved forward with my day. Y'all got me today!! But never again.

Yummmmm. Some of the best fried chicken in Atlanta. Worth the wait! Enjoyed the whole chicken, mac and cheese, and greens. Greens were just so so, Mac was delicious!

I don't recommend this restaurant. The server was kind of rude when we were ordering. We were ordering and she kept saying they were out of everything we were saying. There was no apology for being out of the items, she just kept saying no no no, but when we were ready to walk away she apologized and changed her tune a little bit. We ended up ordering from this place but I think we should have went somewhere else. The chicken sandwich looked tired. It wasn't hot and it was not tasty.

Hop's Chicken is located in Ponce City Market. It's easy to locate within the food court area of the market. You do have to pay for parking at Ponce City Market. It is hourly rates available for review when you can see the posted QR codes. The service was great. The young lady at the counter was pleasant. I ordered a salad with two chicken tenders. I did alter the salad, which she said was no problem. She had the containers handy to show me the difference between a small and large salad. It took about 5 to 7 minutes for my order to come up. It was handed to me at the pickup window on the other side. I was offered free water while I waited. This was a nice gesture. The chicken tenders were cut into 4 to 5 pieces each. The Ceasars dressing I got was really good. I asked for the sweet bread and butter pickles to be removed. They were not. Good them I am not allergic. I just do not like sweet pickles. They were small, so hard to pick out the salad. The chicken was fried well but little seasoning. It's a food court, so the ambiance was giving mall food court vibes to me. Plenty places to sit and eat. I took my food to go as I was working the festival across the street. I was too busy to have the salad remade. It was a little pricey for the amount of food and for my order to be incorrect. I do not visit Ponce City Market often. With that in mind, I wouldn't eat here again with so many other options I have yet to explore. I would say check it out if there.

After looking at the other options in Ponce City Market, this seemed like a good choice until I waited and was disappointed in the food and service. There was nobody else ordering before me and 2 ladies working. The lady that took my order ignored me at first. The other lady that made my plate took forever and was on her phone in between scooping the food onto my plate. How unsanitary and unprofessional. The food had been sitting out and if I knew that, I wouldn't have come here at all. After waiting awhile I received my food and it was cold. Neither lady asked if I wanted sauce with my food. The mac & cheese portion was small and cold. Fried chicken was too greasy. Biscuit was alright. Will not be coming back here.

We came here for a birthday dinner celebration and we met with great customer service and a lovely atmosphere. There was a jazz trio performing, and the ambience of the restaurant was great. We were seated in an area that had a lot of traffic so some of us were bumped multiple times by servers, food going over our heads, people swinging their jackets, it just seemed as if the tables were a bit too close together. The food. We ordered the shrimp appetizer, the fried green tomatoes, and the pork belly. All of these were delicious, though we did feel like the tomatoes could've been a little crispy. The Carolina gold sauce on the pork belly was a nice tangy combination with the protein, and the shrimp had a surprisingly good sauce. The issue that we fell into with two urban licks were the mains ... We felt that the rotisserie chicken was a bit dry, and flavor was confusing as it was presenting as tandoori, but had an underlying flavor we just couldn't get into. The market fish on the menu for the day was a red snapper, and it didn't come with any sides, but it seemed like the fish was simply fried in the oil and it didn't have any seasoning or underlying flavor which we were disappointed in. The Hawaiian wahoo fish was a bit overcooked, and the "jerk" short ribs leaned more habanero salsa in the taste. The coconut rice and peas that went along with it was also dry, without coconut taste, and missed the mark for us. We are Caribbean and this was a disappointment to experience. The description on the page oversold it just a bit. We were able to call the manager, and they removed the chicken dish from our bill and took half of the final price of the short rib from our bill as well, and that was appreciated! Looking around the restaurant, it seemed like everyone was enjoying their meal, though we could never know what conversations were being had at those tables, and it just seems like this restaurant was not for us personally! Great service, but due to the food, we don't plan to return
