It's a whole in the wall, according to my stepson this is the place to be and eat kids seem to really like this place I personally didn't get it... but was willing to give this place a try Service was friendly We ordered 6 pieces buffalo wings, i thought they were to soggy sauce tasted funny 6 pieces lemon pepper wings very dry chicken very pepper tasting more then lemon There big in size, flavors we average nothing special Chicken sandwich on the French roll was good pickles are great coleslaw was flavorful 3 pieces chicken strips very tender good flavor Fries were soggy absolutely horrible Overly expensive! Definitely not worth it I personally wouldn't go there again

Finally got to try Hot Chickz! With that being said, Hot Chickz is a great addition to LP! Tuesday through Thursday they have a happy hour selection from 2-6pm. Its either a sandwhich or wings, fries and a drink for $10 bux. Pretty great deal honestly. I had the sandwhich, and being a spicy chicken spot they have several heat options to choose from. From mild to extra hot. I love spicy food so naturally, I went with "hot - sweatin" the 2nd hottest option on the menu. The food took about 15 mins, definitely didnt mind since they had some great music playing. We got the 2 tenders on texas toast and the sandwhich combos. These were delicious, the chicken was juicy and flavorful and the french fries are amazing! Probably my favorite french fries right now for sure! My biggest complaint, is that the "hot" was not hot at all. It had virtually no heat, so that was a bit of a let down, aside from that though the food is delicious. Definitely will be back, everything on the menu looks good, and that happy hour deal is a great promo. Stop by and support local business!

I am obsessed with their chicken sandwich!! Amazing customer service, it makes the experience extra special and personal when the staff remembers a customer. I've only bought once from here at my son's high school event and the girl remembered me. I love that there is easy parking, but anyway if you're looking for a tasty chicken sandwich this is the place!! This food truck is located across the street in front of crazy rock'N Sushi on Hacienda. I highly recommend it!!

The service here was not good. I asked for the happy hour special and the girl acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. The chicken needed a bit more seasoning had no salt whatsoever: the bread on the sandwich fell apart. I will not be returning.

I fell for an ad on Instagram and seeing that it's located in the town I grew up, I had to check it out for myself! FOOD: I ended up ordering the Chicken Sandwich with mild spice. The brioche bun was nice and soft, while the chicken was huge, crunchy, and still maintained its juiciness. I will say though, the mild spice didn't taste like anything at all. Maybe it was just one of those days but next time, I'll probably get the next spice level up. With this order, I also got their Chicken Wing combo. The fries had the skin on and were perfectly crispy and salty. So good. I was able to get up two flavors for the wings so I got their lemon pepper and mango habanero. The wings themselves were really crispy, which is always my preference. I have to add though that some wings still looked slightly undercooked inside. The lemon pepper was a dry rub but it had some tang and kick to it. Really good. The mango habanero was sweet but spicy; just enough to get the heavy breathing going haha. SERVICE - I think their customer service was good. No complaints there. NOTES - Very small parking lot and it gets smoky inside.

Hmm first time visiting and got Togo. I ordered mild chicken sandwich and realized I probably can do medium or hot here. The coleslaw is on the sweet side and since my hot chicken wasn't hot enough, I missed that balance. But will try again next time for hotter. They also have pizzas but Yelp didn't let me order that via the app. Let's see next time.

Wow! 5 we'll deserved stars for Hot Chickz. I saw this place on ig. And I live in the SGV. So I had to come check them out. This is probably my new favorite chicken spot. I ordered the two sandwich combo. Each slider comes with one decent sized tender and fries. I don't drink soda so it's perfect. Prices are perfect! Keep them that way so people can have a chance to come by and get plenty. The sandwich: brioche bun, crunchy slaw, pickles and sauce. The seasoning and texture is perfect! And I know chicken sandwiches! The fries are perfect too. I came a few days later to try their wings. I got the 10 piece. Two flavors. Nice and meaty! Perfect texture and I really like that my food was fresh both times I went. I dirty oil or soggy buns. Keep up the good work! I'm definitely coming back. Ps: if management is reading this, let's collab for a vid on my ig. Plus, if y'all make merch, I'm in! Lol

Let's start off with the location; horrible. This is a bad area with high crime and parking on side of building is sketchy Inside of restaurant is old nothing modern about it other than a abstract painted wall. Food however is delicious hot and fresh. I would rate this place 5 stars if it were modern and I'm a better location. Chicken was fresh and crispy. I had their special after 2pm which is the chicken sandwich combo with fries and a drink. Fries were crispy and hot as well. They were accompanied by some real tasty dipping sauces. The young ladies working there were extremely nice. Good spot to order food and take home to enjoy!

Food: 10/10 - great portion sizes, amazing flavor, fresh to order. Nothing tasted oily or greasy. Chicken was extremely well cooked and flavored. Fries were fresh and crispy and not overly or under salted. Texas toast literally buttery soft and delicious. Service: 10/10 - super kind and amazing people. They absolutely deserve all and every kind of business. Ambiance: 10/10 - music was relaxing and they have multiple TV's. Restaurant was clean and well lit. Plenty of space. Family friendly and also great for a quick lunch bite. This place absolutely deserves more hype and appreciation. I hope they stay around for a long while, the drive from anywhere is worth the food.

#5 large tenders but lack flavor and the pickles are so soggy and gross. I love pickles and I couldn't even eat more than 2 pieces.

I was super excited when my husband said there's a new hot chicken by us, but super disappointed. We got a number 1 & 5 which are tenders. The portion is good for the price, but the quality of the tenders aren't good and the flavor is lacking. My husband got medium spicy and I got the hot because I love spicy food. The tenders didn't have much flavor and the seasoning on it didn't add much flavor. They were generous to give extra sauce, but honestly the sauce didn't have the flavor like other hot chicken places. When I say no flavor, it's just bland and teaser like getting mayonnaise. The service was okay. The first guy got annoyed with me when I was ready to order once I got inside because I was looking in my bag for my wallet before ordering. He just walked away and went back to swiping the floor and told the other other to take my order. Not a big deal it wasn't even busy. Only 2 party at two tables. That should've been red flag to turn around and leave. This place is run down and it looks like it used to be a Mexican restaurant because they have a salsa station or a pizza joint because there's a brick pizza oven (kind of weird). It's not very inviting and the tables and chairs feels sticky. I wouldn't be back or recommend it to anyone I like. They charge 4% for using your credit card and requires tipping. It's a bit annoying when restaurants requires tipping for take out. I just ripped 15% since the place look like it's hurting for $$. I give it 2 stars because the food looks good even tho it didn't taste good.

Great food and great service. I would highly recommend if anyone is looking for some tasty hot chicken. I ordered the sweatin hot spice and it had good flavor, but I wish it were a bit spicier. That just my personal preference though. I'd definitely go with the spiciest option if you like heat. read more

First time trying this spot. & I gotta say it was delicious!!! Customer service was good. As soon as I got there to pick up my mobile order I was helped right away and I forgot to put my spice level and the were nice enough to give me a call before I picked up my food! 10/10 customer service! The only thing I would say that might need some change is the Mac and Cheese. Although it was delicious I think it would be much better if the Mac and cheese could be more creamy. But that's just a personal preference for me maybe it's not for everyone. Other than that it was delicious! Oh and I ordered the #2 with Mac and cheese in it. read more

The store's in a little corner strip, hidden like a gem. Tried the #4 combo with 2 sammiches, one "Sweatin" and other "Just a Kick." I started sweating while eating the Sweatin' sandwich, so that did not disappoint. Just a kick was just that, a kick of spice that didn't kick your a$$ but nevertheless was fulfilling in decent amount of spice orgy. Fries were seasoned and good, the cucumber lemonade fresca helped me cool off the Sweatin chicken. Price is fair, portions are huge, and beats driving too far for a hot chicken around my area. Would highly recommend! (they also sell pizza fyi, strange but appears really good when another customer ordered it, will give it a try later). read more

Was curious to try this place. Glad to see they finally got a brick and mortar location. Kind of hard to find. Once you get there, you are kind of like, "Is this the right place"? The outside and inside of the restaurant needs some love, looks a bit run down and not very bright at all. We ordered sandwiches and the Hot Chik Fries. I was looking forward to the sandwich but was not impressed at all. The chicken breast was not tender, juicy, or very thick. It pretty much missed the mark. The sauce was a bit runny and kind of lighter in color so not the most appetizing. However, the Hot Chik fries can through clutch!! I was not expecting much but we smashed the whole tray. I think the pickles make it complete. The fried chicken pieces over the well seasoned fries, layered with slaw & pickles, then slathered with Chick sauce...It makes you want more! The spice was medium but definitely enough to pack a punch. They have a few things right here, I will actually go back and order the fries but they have alot of work ahead of them. Also, I noticed they were promoting the Mac & Cheese? I think they need to focus on the main item here- Making a kick butt Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Once you master that, success will follow. Give it a shot, hopefully they stepped up. read more

Mediocre chicken sandwich and fries. Chicken was dry and the fries aren't really that great. Also, the sauce was okay. If you want some good spicy chicken sandwich, I would recommend y'all to make the drive to Hotties Chicken in Fullerton or The Chicken Koop. I'm not sure if I would come back again... read more

Extremely poor service. I ordered and finished paying at 8:22, didn't receive my food until 8:58, over 30 minutes of waiting. I was overcharged for sales tax, they charged me 10% instead of the state's 7%, which didn't even show up on their system screen until after I got my receipt. Others who had ordered after me received their food before me, and when I finally got my food the small amount of fries were hard and cold and my chicken wasn't even warm. Will NOT be going back again, complete waste of money. I had high hopes for them and they completely shit on it. read more

Love this place. The fries are delicious and the chicken sandwiches are delicious. I'm a huge fan of Howlin and was looking for an alternative since it is too far from me and this place hits the spot. I get the medium spice level and it's perfect. I love their sauce as well. I introduced my family to it and they also thought it was delicious. The combos come with two sandwiches so just be prepared for that, I share a combo with my husband and it's definitely enough for two. read more

What a diamond in the ruff this place is. The food here was very good. The chicken sandwich was tender and the medium was a good amount of heat. The winner though I would say is the Mac & cheese, it was the perfect amount of cheesy and gooey and very reasonably priced. I heard about this location from a coworker, and I have to say that this place lives up to their recommendation. I was immediately greeted and welcomed in to the restaurant, they supported me with understanding their menu, and they were quick to make their food. New spot in LP! This is a must try place! We ordered there their Hot chickz fries and they were incredible. Also, order 2 tenders meal and 2 cucumber lemon drink. They are not shy with the food at all. Yes we spent 36 bucks for 2 meals and 2 big drink but it was worth it. They were quick, the cashier was very helpful and polite the evening over the 11th in Feb. Next trip is to try their pizza. read more

I've tried many chicken sandwich spots. Every weekend I try a different spot and this one right here is top 3 in my books. The fries remind me of in n out fries which I like. The sandwich is good too ( I've had bad ones) juicy chicken, a good kick of spice (I get mild. Can't handle spicy spicy lol) it's also close to home which I love. Will be going back. read more

Hot new spot in La Puente/Hacienda Heights! It is so awesome to have a new spot to go to! Owned by a young couple who have come so far in a short time, from their pop up in Montebello to now having their permanent location here! Their food is so delicious and they really know how to bring the HEAT! Their hot chick fries are the bomb and the Aguas Frescas are so refreshing, it all is just a perfect "Hit the Spot" type of restaurant! All my family loves it and they even have a larger menu than their pop up, they offer pizza! Cant wait to go back and continue trying new items! read more

The place is good ! I've been eating with them sense they were a pop up in Montebello in front of the brewery! I'm happy they got their own place and moved up in the business. But what I must say is that the quality of food did drop a little bit. As the food is still enjoyable , to me it doesn't match the same quality it had when they were a pop up. I've tried it three times from the restaurant they are at now and I must say I didn't enjoy it as much as I use too. The drinks they have though are still really bomb though. Still a good spot, owners are really cool and young... I Will always support them ! Although it's not the same as before I still recommend everyone to give it a try! read more

I was sad to see the prior italian restaurant go, but I'm okay with it now. Hot chickz is damn good. I'm not into spicy food so i just went with the chicken sandwiches for 2, with cheese, and "just a kick" sauce (mild). Absolutely delicious. Best chicken sandwich I've tasted in a while. I was also happy with the pricing for the meal i got. $14 to feed 2 with a decent amount of fries. Definitely going back. Wish they had beer though.. one day read more

We love supporting local business! Came on a Friday night, there was a small line but the wait was short. Ordered the #4 Two Hot Chicken Sandwich (spice level Feeling It) came with fries and their side of sauce (very much like thousand island) Perfect level of spice if you want a mild kick just enough for flavor. Technically, that is correct, but also not totally so. You see, most of the breakfast items are made in tiny little ovens and a grill, both of which look kind of beat up. The place wasn't dirty at all, but it felt kind of run down. It's just the vibe I was getting. The two women handling service and cooking were pleasant enough. They were friendly and eager to please. Sadly, the food didn't please me. I was warned that due to their location next to a Starbucks, they contractually in their lease cannot foam their milk, so the lattes are not lattes and they have no cappuccino. The brown sugar "latte" I got was okay, though, even if it was just sweetened coffee. The food, however, wasn't my cup of tea. On Yelp, the waffles look like two mini waffles with berries and powdered sugar. That might've been how it was once made, but not anymore. Now it is drenched in cookie butter (which is just like a caramel syrup) and then topped with the berries. It is just too sweet for my tastes. It also doesn't help that they only have plastic disposable cutlery which can barely saw through the waffle, making for an awkward dining experience. The biggest problems were the sides. The potatoes were an extremely skimpy portion and didn't taste all that great. The bacon smelled terrible when they made it in a pan in a broiler. It smelled rancid. It didn't taste much better, and I ended up getting sick and feeling queasy most of the rest of the day. I wish I had liked it more. I know Yelp recently did an Elite event here, and I wish I had been chosen for that so I could've saved my own money. Sadly, while I'd like to be able to recommend the place for the nice owners / workers, I cannot. The food is subpar, I cannot recommend, and I really doubt I'd come back. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

Opted for the #3 Combo which was 1 chicken sandwich and 1 tender w Texas toast. The order also came w fries and the option for cheese. Very proud to say that it was delicious! There isn't any parking directly in front of their tent because it's located near a major cross section street. The closest parking option is a few feet away in a residential cul-de-sac. Overall it's not bad if you are in the area and want some chilaquiles to go. If you're nowhere near this spot, I don't think it's worth driving all the way to Don Chilaquilles though.

We felt like the veggie toppings were the only thing giving the taco flavor. Would not recommend. Shrimp taco: 2/5 3 total shrimp, veggie overload. Nothing to write home about. Similar issue as the fish but at least there was a tiny amount of flavor present in this. Not too fishy which was a positive note. Asada + Shrimp Burrito: 2/5 The meat was extremely salty, I couldn't even taste the shrimp or the beans inside. Barely any shrimp too. The salsa and lime somewhat covered up the bland flavors. Do not get this. Rice (L) : 4/5 The one thing that was good alone. It wasn't too dry and was pretty good when not paired with anything else. Beans (S): 4/5 Refried beans, nothing amazing. The cheese on top was a nice touch. Both the rice and beans were the stars of this visit. Overall, would not return to this location. It's hard to enjoy your time out when flies are buzzing around everywhere and your staff doesn't seem knowledgeable about their items. Even with the sides being good, it isn't enough to make me want to return. Skip this.
