I am obsessed with their chicken sandwich!! Amazing customer service, it makes the experience extra special and personal when the staff remembers a customer. I've only bought once from here at my son's high school event and the girl remembered me. I love that there is easy parking, but anyway if you're looking for a tasty chicken sandwich this is the place!! This food truck is located across the street in front of crazy rock'N Sushi on Hacienda. I highly recommend it!!

It's a whole in the wall, according to my stepson this is the place to be and eat kids seem to really like this place I personally didn't get it... but was willing to give this place a try Service was friendly We ordered 6 pieces buffalo wings, i thought they were to soggy sauce tasted funny 6 pieces lemon pepper wings very dry chicken very pepper tasting more then lemon There big in size, flavors we average nothing special Chicken sandwich on the French roll was good pickles are great coleslaw was flavorful 3 pieces chicken strips very tender good flavor Fries were soggy absolutely horrible Overly expensive! Definitely not worth it I personally wouldn't go there again

Finally got to try Hot Chickz! With that being said, Hot Chickz is a great addition to LP! Tuesday through Thursday they have a happy hour selection from 2-6pm. Its either a sandwhich or wings, fries and a drink for $10 bux. Pretty great deal honestly. I had the sandwhich, and being a spicy chicken spot they have several heat options to choose from. From mild to extra hot. I love spicy food so naturally, I went with "hot - sweatin" the 2nd hottest option on the menu. The food took about 15 mins, definitely didnt mind since they had some great music playing. We got the 2 tenders on texas toast and the sandwhich combos. These were delicious, the chicken was juicy and flavorful and the french fries are amazing! Probably my favorite french fries right now for sure! My biggest complaint, is that the "hot" was not hot at all. It had virtually no heat, so that was a bit of a let down, aside from that though the food is delicious. Definitely will be back, everything on the menu looks good, and that happy hour deal is a great promo. Stop by and support local business!

The service here was not good. I asked for the happy hour special and the girl acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. The chicken needed a bit more seasoning had no salt whatsoever: the bread on the sandwich fell apart. I will not be returning.

Chicken Sandwich and Mango Habanero Wings (5/5 )

I fell for an ad on Instagram and seeing that it's located in the town I grew up, I had to check it out for myself! FOOD: I ended up ordering the Chicken Sandwich with mild spice. The brioche bun was nice and soft, while the chicken was huge, crunchy, and still maintained its juiciness. I will say though, the mild spice didn't taste like anything at all. Maybe it was just one of those days but next time, I'll probably get the next spice level up. With this order, I also got their Chicken Wing combo. The fries had the skin on and were perfectly crispy and salty. So good. I was able to get up two flavors for the wings so I got their lemon pepper and mango habanero. The wings themselves were really crispy, which is always my preference. I have to add though that some wings still looked slightly undercooked inside. The lemon pepper was a dry rub but it had some tang and kick to it. Really good. The mango habanero was sweet but spicy; just enough to get the heavy breathing going haha. SERVICE - I think their customer service was good. No complaints there. NOTES - Very small parking lot and it gets smoky inside.

Hmm first time visiting and got Togo. I ordered mild chicken sandwich and realized I probably can do medium or hot here. The coleslaw is on the sweet side and since my hot chicken wasn't hot enough, I missed that balance. But will try again next time for hotter. They also have pizzas but Yelp didn't let me order that via the app. Let's see next time.

Let's start off with the location; horrible. This is a bad area with high crime and parking on side of building is sketchy Inside of restaurant is old nothing modern about it other than a abstract painted wall. Food however is delicious hot and fresh. I would rate this place 5 stars if it were modern and I'm a better location. Chicken was fresh and crispy. I had their special after 2pm which is the chicken sandwich combo with fries and a drink. Fries were crispy and hot as well. They were accompanied by some real tasty dipping sauces. The young ladies working there were extremely nice. Good spot to order food and take home to enjoy!

Food: 10/10 - great portion sizes, amazing flavor, fresh to order. Nothing tasted oily or greasy. Chicken was extremely well cooked and flavored. Fries were fresh and crispy and not overly or under salted. Texas toast literally buttery soft and delicious. Service: 10/10 - super kind and amazing people. They absolutely deserve all and every kind of business. Ambiance: 10/10 - music was relaxing and they have multiple TV's. Restaurant was clean and well lit. Plenty of space. Family friendly and also great for a quick lunch bite. This place absolutely deserves more hype and appreciation. I hope they stay around for a long while, the drive from anywhere is worth the food.

Large portions, we definitely over ordered. Tasty and can be ordered as spicy as your lil heart desires. We tried 'Just a Kick' and 'Feeling It'. Both tolerable and not overly spicy.

#5 large tenders but lack flavor and the pickles are so soggy and gross. I love pickles and I couldn't even eat more than 2 pieces.

I was super excited when my husband said there's a new hot chicken by us, but super disappointed. We got a number 1 & 5 which are tenders. The portion is good for the price, but the quality of the tenders aren't good and the flavor is lacking. My husband got medium spicy and I got the hot because I love spicy food. The tenders didn't have much flavor and the seasoning on it didn't add much flavor. They were generous to give extra sauce, but honestly the sauce didn't have the flavor like other hot chicken places. When I say no flavor, it's just bland and teaser like getting mayonnaise. The service was okay. The first guy got annoyed with me when I was ready to order once I got inside because I was looking in my bag for my wallet before ordering. He just walked away and went back to swiping the floor and told the other other to take my order. Not a big deal it wasn't even busy. Only 2 party at two tables. That should've been red flag to turn around and leave. This place is run down and it looks like it used to be a Mexican restaurant because they have a salsa station or a pizza joint because there's a brick pizza oven (kind of weird). It's not very inviting and the tables and chairs feels sticky. I wouldn't be back or recommend it to anyone I like. They charge 4% for using your credit card and requires tipping. It's a bit annoying when restaurants requires tipping for take out. I just ripped 15% since the place look like it's hurting for $$. I give it 2 stars because the food looks good even tho it didn't taste good.

So freakin good! Decided to check this place out with my boyfriend because we ?were craving chicken sandwiches. Starting off, the parking lot was a little weird and so was the inside of the building, kind of hole in the wall feeling and it smelled like cleaning chemicals. The menu was simple and the register girl was so nice and helpful. We both got the #2 which was the two sandwiches with fries. I got mild spice and my bf got none. The sandwiches were perfect, great size, juicy seasoned meat and perfect amount of coleslaw. The fries were not seasoned much but still very good! It's definitely worth the price!

This used to be an Italian joint but hot chickz is a great replacement. The service is friendly and prompt, the food is in big portions at a very good price. The address can be confusing and I wish they would add more signage and street lighting. The location looks extremely shady and not the most settling for a lone female. Came across this place on Instagram and it looked really good! Made a phone order and went to go pick it up. The place was empty and I was skeptic about that but I thought maybe because it was an hour away from closing. Picked up my food. Cashier was nice no problems with any staff. Got home and the food was not what I was expecting. The sandwiches were okay but the breading was falling off the chicken. Also ordered tenders and you couldn't bite into it without falling part. The fries were the worst fries I've ever had. Cold, stale and flavorless. The only thing I liked and the reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 was the macaroni. I love cheese and it was very cheesy. Could use a bit more seasoning but it was exceptional. Most likely will not go back. There are way better chicken spots. Don't waste your money. Spent $50 here. Not worth it at all. read more

So was scrolling on Instagram found this pretty cool business page offering Nashville style chicken. The pictures legit made my mouth water so off I went to La Puente to try it out. The ambience is not as good as I would hope it to be and the temperature inside was warm not sure if AC was out this day but on to the most important part of the review the food. We had the chicken sandwiches and the tender on Texas toast with fries and they did not disappoint. We got just a kick and sweatin spice levels. The just for kick was comfortable easy to eat and the sweatin was also easy to eat but you definitely noticed the difference in spice. Next time I'll have to try their spiciest level "holy cluck" overall I give this place 5 stars because the foods that good just please get the AC to work. I had super high hopes for this place! I love hot chicken and this place always pops on my page. I saw the pictures on IG and honestly did not look as good as it does in the pictures. I came with my boyfriend and we got 2 #4's (the hot sandwich combo), a side of Mac and Cheese and 2 drinks. It all came out to be about $50 which is kinda a lot for a hot chicken place???? Like I can get that price at like Dave's for about $15 cheaper. Anyways, we get the food and it looks okay. I take a bite of the fries and it was so salty that I swore they just dumped a container of salt on each fry directly. The Mac and cheese was okay but like it was soooo greasy to the point there was a pool of it at the bottom of the container. Really made my stomach hurt. And now to the sandwich ... I'm gonna be honest and say it reminded me of a Burger King original chicken sandwich with just some spice. Really bland and not tasteful at all. I do not know why there are good reviews for this place. Save yourself the $$ and go to a better hot chicken place like Howlin Rays. Overall, would not be coming back at all. read more

Fried chicken is an art. I ordered a rather large meal for my family and the cost was much better than I anticipated and the crust on the fried chicken is perfect. The spices are tremendous. Do yourself a favor and don't consume corporate fried chicken junk. Go to your local fried chicken vendor for a taste of real culture within your community. read more

Chicken is contaminated!!! Ordered 3 orders of naked chicken sandwiches for my kids and all sandwiches were too spicy for the kids to eat. What a waste of money!!! Cross contaminated chicken possibly from them cooking all chicken spice levels all in same oil. Chicken is not juicy too dry. Their Texas toast sucks it's more like Texas bread!!! No butter no salt no oil no toasting just a thick square piece of bread. Fries are ok good portion good seasoning no complaints there. I would stay away from this place and just stick to raising canes!!! read more

Food is good. HOWEVER, the reason why I'm giving it 3 stars is because they are taxing you 10% and not the normal CA 7.25%. They are pocketing 2.75% with taxes. Definitely a douchey move on their end. read more

Love their chicken sandwiches and their fries. This is my one of my top 2 hot chicken places, the other being HR. Their sauce is so good! If you eat here, order a strawberry lemonade it's so bomb. The quality of their chicken is excellent and the flavor is delicious. Two people can share one combo, it comes with a lot of food. The employees are always friendly here. In short, I love this spot and it's food, I highly recommend. read more

Im not sure if this happens often here but it was my first time trying this place and the fries were NOT GOOD! Tasted and felt like they reheated them they were hard, cold and not crispy. It was like they made them an hour before and tried reheating them. The chicken... alright but kinda soggy & wasnt fresh like if they just made it. Not to mention they got our order wrong with the things we asked to not be put on the sandwich. Definitely not my expectations coming to this place it looked so good but im disappointed and dont think i will be coming back. read more

Shrimp tacos are still my top pick--perfectly fried, crunchy edges, a little gooey in the middle, topped with avocado and salsa. I could honestly eat them every day. The ceviche mixta tostada always hits too--shrimp, fish, octopus, loaded with lime and heat. It can get crowded on the weekends, so I recommend ordering ahead online--just make sure you select the right location. And bring cash! The vibes, the food, the park setting... this spot stays solid.
