Ordered a few items to go over the course of 3 visits for myself and my co-workers to try. Never found that "special thing" that would draw me back or cause me to recommend it to someone. The location is convenient - there's paid parking across the street and some street meters - and the servers are very nice. The food is just okay. In those 3 visits we ordered the alligator bites - I didn't taste much alligator, but my co-workers said that's the way they are supposed to be, and they liked them. We had the fried green tomatoes with the etouffee on the side. Tasty, but the etouffee was lacking. Jambalaya was also lacking, but ironically, when we combined the etouffee and the jambalaya, it was really good. We also tried the side of hushpuppies, which came in a plastic to go container but were surprisingly good, even though they looked overcooked. The final thing was the fried catfish & fries kids' plate. Fries were long (homemade?) and yummy, but the catfish was catfish - without tartar sauce. Anyway, pricing is a bit on the strong side, but you are paying for the location. As for recommending, I'll leave that up to you. read more

She asked if we needed a Shell Cracker for the Crab Boil, but by then Wifey was nearly finished. The location was pretty big and centrally located and food was definitely a highlight.
