Great little spot with good service, nice amenities and friendly employees. The rooms are clean with hard floors (yay!) instead of carpet (A++++ for that idea). The beds are comfortable, and there's even fridges in the rooms. Very nice. Basic services, wifi, heaters, snacks and water. They even have a computer you can use if you need. Shout out to Abraham, Adria and Michael who were super friendly and informative. Give them a raise! They're the bomb! Edit: bring your earplugs. If anyone is out in the hall talking in the middle of the night, you'll hear every word. Sometimes people shout and laugh and you can hear it through the door. An enforced quiet policy past 10pm could curb the issue.

Comfortable boutique hotel located in the Chicago west loop. It was pretty close to everything and has its own dedicated parking. I stayed in the Jc rivera room that has a mural painted by the chicago artist. I really liked it and found it to be an added bonus to my suite. The room was very clean and the entire staff was helpful when needed and always friendly. I had hoped to use the gym while there but it was way too small and one of the machines had an out of order sign on it... Luckily since the hotel was so close to everything a national gym that I am a member of is less than 10 minutes away... so it was an easy drive over for a quick morning workout. Overall my experience was positive and id definitely consider them on my next CHITOWN visit.

    Room Door - no lock!

Arrived on 8/8 at 10:30pm to check in for a 2-night stay (was in town for a concert, so most nearby hotels were booked or very expensive). Was assigned a room on the 4th floor. Went to room, discovered the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke, the room door was blocked open with a bag of trash and a pile of linens on the floor. There were no staff around in that room. I returned to the front desk and they assigned me a different room on the 2nd floor. That room seemed ok, so I went to bed. Around 12:30am, my door slammed partially open, only staying "closed" by the security latch. I called out, and my door closed. Minutes later, the room phone rang and it was the front desk saying that they had no knowledge of anyone staying in this room and asking who I was. I gave my name and repeated the story of my check-in. They apologized and said they did see that in the system, and to return to sleep. I had a very fitful night, jerking awake with every sound. In the morning, I spoke to the manager who comped the previous night's stay. He stated that they had some computer issues which caused the hotel to double assign my room to other guests. As a single woman traveling alone, I told him did not feel safe staying there any longer after that, especially as there was no way to lock the door. He apologized, said he would comp the previous night and cancel tonight's stay and give me a full refund. No other assistance was offered. I had to scramble to find a different (more expensive) hotel for the night, which was further away from the venue.

I stayed here after attending a show. It was a comfortable room with a full refrigerator which I did not expect. That would be amazing for a longer stay. I didn't spend much time there outside of sleeping but I would return. The breakfast was nice.

Lets start with the GOOD. In the area of The National Museum of Mexican Art. The reason we were in Chicago. Staff was friendy. Room was clean. It was quiet all night. Easy driving distance to lots of shops and places to eat. 18th Street in Pilsen is cool. There were room darkening shades on the windows. The BAD: Tiny parking area that they charge 25$ for and that is if you pay the early check in charge of 50$ and check in early. Other wise no on site parking. Parking on the street to me was confusing and I really didn't want my car blocks away from the hotel. Some parking is free, lots of restrictions like bus zones, loading and unloading. There is a huge parking garage right next door not owned by the Hotel. It is open Saturday 9am to 3pm. Not open Sunday or holidays. Open 530am to 930pm Mon - Fri. Whomever owns that should lease spots to the hotel. Our King Room was half the size of our master bedroom and bath at home. The bed was comfortable enough but it was not a king but it wasn't quite a queen either. My feet hung off the end. They don't do that in our king at home. This Hotel is a good choice .. If you are not driving and relying on Uber or Cabs. If you like boutique type rooms. If you don't want a restaurant on site.

We took a quick weekend trip to go see my favorite band at the united center. We booked last minute and was looking for the cheapest and closest to the venue. The good - 10 min walk to the United Center, Friendly front desk staff. Clean room. Had some after show snacks from their small little vending area in the lobby. The Meh - Thought we were getting a larger bed. We are both larger people so both of us in a full size bed pretty hilarious. Super small shower. The room was not super big, but it served the purpose of the one night stay.

The hotel room was beautiful and very clean. The hotel staff were so friendly and quite helpful answering questions about the area. I will definitely stay there again.

The Chicago Hotel is an average place to stay. While it has it's good and bad about it, it's definitely not the worst stay I've had, but it's not really a place I'd stay again. Okay, so really the absolute worst thing about the hotel is the location. There is nothing nearby the hotel, unless you're visiting the hospital as there's one across the street. There's a gas station a block away and a Target five blocks away. It's close to a two mile walk into any part of the city, which yes, could be worse, but considering how many hotels are in the city and have restaurants and things to do nearby, this hotel really does lack in being in a place where you could have fun immediately outside of the hotel. The one key point near the hotel is the United Center. If you're here one night for a concert, stay here for sure. The room was clean. It's got a fridge, microwave and kind of feels like a small apartment or dorm even. It felt very safe and although the hallways had this weird blue lighting at all hours, I kind of didn't mind it. The highlight to me was the hotel cleaning staff who were probably the friendliest I've ever encountered. The rooms are small. The bathrooms were of decent size. I enjoyed the water pressure which is always something I make note of. There is a gym on the first floor. You'll need your key card to access the main door of the hotel after hours. There is complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby. The free high-speed Internet worked well, which typically isn't the case at hotels. If this hotel was even a mile closer I'd definitely give it a higher rating. The price was super cheap, which makes sense due to its location. Again, don't stay here unless you want to factor in constantly taking ubers into your vacation budget, because your feet are going to be sore if you're like me and tried to walk it.

Their windows have no shades, only blinds which light in in the a.m., making it impossible to really sleep well after the sun comes up.

The only reason why I stayed here was because my partner and I went out on the town drinking and I really had too much to drive back to the suburbs and his place was further than we should have driven as well. He pulled up the closest hotel to us and this was it. We rolled in at about 2:30am and expected to pay more than we should have, anticipating we would need to be out by 11am. But they wouldn't let us just pay for one night, they basically made us pay for one night plus a extra $80 "early check in" because technically it was that day. Idk maybe if we had checked in at 11:59pm instead it would have been different. But we weren't in a position to go anywhere else so we ponied up the money which essentially had us paid through for the next 36 hours. Which was great because I really wanted to sleep off that hangover in the morning. No can do. The window in the room has NO CURTAIN, only white blinds, which pretty much only cut out 1% of the light once the sun came up at 6:00am. Come on guys, people are going to probably want to sleep in if they have had a late night out in Chicago, the last thing they need after spending this kind of money for a room is bright ass sun waking them up only a few hours after they went to bed. Would it KILL YOU to put some better blinds that better block the outside light or install a curtain??? The bed was comfortable, but only a Queen which feels a bit small if you and your partner are used to sleeping in a King (or if you are a very tall/large person). The full size frig/freezer and microwave was nice touch although I didn't need it. Gym looked well equipped but I didn't use it. Shower was spacious for two people but ladies if you gotta shave your legs, its kind of a pain because theres not even anything to prop your leg up on so you'll pretty much have to sit down on the shower floor to effectively shave. Its $25 to park in their little lot. But we had no issue getting a free spot across the street. But at this price point for a room, the parking should be complimentary on a first come/first serve basis. Would I stay here again? Only if I was in a position where I had no other option. Bring an eye mask if you want to be able to sleep past 6am.

This hotel was located within the loop near the river, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are basic and small. We were fortunate to get an upgraded room with two queen beds and an amazing view out the window of the city. The window was large and clean. The beds were comfy with ample pillows. Four pillows were provided. The hotel set up is a bit awkward. Room is best for one person as lacks storage for large luggage. Plus there is not a defined bathroom. The shower is within the bedroom. Fortunately the shower was frosted but you walk right into the bedroom so you must be comfortable with those you stay with. Plus the room does really have a deck and chair to work. The desk is a fold down from the wall. The chair for the deck is located on the wall and not really suitable for long term working on sitting as does not have a back to it. The best thing above this hotel are the staff. The front desk staff are super friendly and accommodating and aim to please. The bartender was super friendly and attentive as well. Lastly parking is not available right at the hotel. You have to walk two blocks. Plus parking cost 59 dollars and that's the discounted rate. Also not really a suitable place to drop luggage off. If you pull up to the front door, you are blocking traffic. Base on price of 400 dollars the night we stayed, I would say it's not worth the stay. Maybe it's worth 200 or less for Chicago.

I want to say that I have had my eye on this hotel for a while now after looking for Hilton hotel locations with a peloton bike, which this one has. Other than that, I loved that the location of this hotel sits in the heart of Chicago, surrounding a plethora of activities which made it the perfect choice for hotel stay to celebrate. Okay, it was an experience going up to the lobby area to check in at this hotel, a blonde moment as I am known for if you follow my reviews. The lobby is located on the 4th floor, so be sure to choose "L" for the lobby because there is no 4th floor button listed in the elevator. Me and two other hotel guests had an adventure going up to the lobby area after trying to figure out where the 4th floor button was. My experience with the receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing on what is offered, and the receptionist giving me my room key. For your information, check-in starts at 4:00 PM and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! If you have the Hilton honors application, there is the opportunity to check in with the application, choosing your room, and receiving a digital key, which will allow you to go to your room contactless without seeing a receptionist upon your arrival. I have not used this method, but if you are interested in no contact whatsoever then you can use it with the Hilton Honors application. After locating and entering my room, I thought to myself this is fancy once I took notice of the design and interior color which appeared so elegant! There was a variation of vibrant colors in the room from its curtains to the headboard of the king-size bed, the carpet, and a gold chair that looked like something out of your grandmother's house. Out of all, I just could not take my eyes off the curtains which reminded me of cherry blossoms because of the colors. Inside the bathroom there were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% attached to the wall. Throughout my travels, I have noticed that hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; its soothing pressure made me feel very cleansed during each usage. It was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting my face and body. Other things the room came with that I noticed were a comforter, an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, safe, comforter, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and USB and AC plugins attached to either the headboard of the bed, lamps, or the television cabinet, which added a nice touch to the room. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Majestic, as expected, had an exceptionally beautiful inner interior! As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines during my stay. I must say that I was pleased to see several dumbbell weights, medicine balls, kettlebells, a decent selection of workout machines, and two peloton fitness bikes which charmed me out of my panties once I spotted them. And oh, honey did I enjoy it on my birthday with the lovely Hannah Frankson as my peloton instructor, who put my legs through torture during her low impact workout. Having the complimentary breakfast was a relief because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant for breakfast in the morning. And I was highly satisfied with the quality of what was presented. It is served daily from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM. For you all visiting the city of Chicago, there are plentiful sights, activities, and restaurants within a radius of Hampton Inn Majestic. As a resident, a few that I adore are Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and the Art Institute of Chicago! Next door is the CIBC Theatre, which I noticed upon my initial arrival at the hotel. And if you are looking to explore the city or outer part of the city, the Chicago Union Station, and CTA Train Station are very accessible to-and-from. I would surely book Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of interest in downtown Chicago. ~ Live every moment ~ Thomas G

If you're able to splurge for club access at $200/person, you'll get to experience stunning city views, breakfast, afternoon tea, snacks, unlimited cocktails, and evening bites. We were also sent a bottle of wine and snacks to our room. I loved that they have a free spa area where you can use the sauna, heated stone loungers, and cold showers. The pool was stunning and we enjoyed swimming, just wish the hot tub was hotter as it was lukewarm. The room was great as well with a Nespresso machine and relaxing tub. Every time we stepped out of the room we would come back to a nice surprise, the room would be cleaned or they would leave the water and ice. Very attentive customer service here. Overall it was nice to live in luxury for the night, highly recommend if you're looking to splurge and relax! Hope I'll be able to stay again someday.

The Langham is going down as one of my favorite hotels and arguably for sure top 5…read more The room was amazing and I was very impressed by the birthday set up my wife arranged with the hotel and a third party vendor. Our view was stunning and I loved I could see downtown and the river from our room. We booked the cinema suite for a cute movie night and I loved that. They had a cute popcorn station with candy and pop, plus you can order room service. The spa was amazing and the facilities were nice.

I've been to Miru many times and finally got to try out the hotel for a staycation…read more Pros: -I loved that they had two restaurant options in the hotel. Both have incredible views but I would definitely recommend having at least one meal on the Miru patio if you are there during nice weather. -I was most surprised by their massive gym and has stunning views. It's also open 24 hours. They offered Pilates classes as well for an extra fee. -the hotel is brand new and all the finishes are so high end. The rooms are clean and quiet. The hallways are huge and felt like a maze to navigate but it also added to feeling of privacy. -there were so many high end details that made it extra special (the cozy Frette bath robes, welcome drinks, treat box in the room upon arrival, and the accent lighting in the room). -the location. It's just across the river from the heart of Michigan ave on the north end of a residential development. You don't feel like you are in the middle of the chaos of the city but the park, lake front and river are footsteps away. Negatives: -view was underwhelming ( fourth floor river view . Might choose the park view next time. I'd also recommend not facing the river as there was lots of honking/noise. -the room layout was awkward. They have this huge desk between the bed and tv. The full length mirror is a down a long hallway from bathroom/ where you would be getting dressed. -the room service comes on these huge heavy trays. The staff seemed like they were straining under the weight of it/ it was awkward. -I'd probably skip the spa/massage -$90/ day parking. Was able to do a spothero for about $40 next door.

This hotel has it all from Pilates, to Barre to Yoga to their Athletic Club and Pool…read more The only complaint is that it's not bunched with the other hotels, its toward the end of Wacker next to the lake. So, walking from the Blackbawks shop when it's 20° isn't an easy task. Also, I wasn't able to try the Tre Dita since I didn't book a reservation in advance. Hopefully, I can schedule a reservation in the future. Plus, since it was mid-December, the St Regis had their third annual 12 Days of Sabrage, which guests of honor perform the evening ritual of champagne sabrage, which celebrates the transition from day to night. They offered complimentary toast of champagne and a Vosges Haut-Chocolate truffle. The hotel encouraged everyone to bring a new or lightly used winter clothing for children in need.
