Great service, very welcoming, the food was very good and they have a nice selection of sides and drinks. Great atmosphere and overall food.

First time to try hotpot express. Didn't know what to expect. I came with 2 of my daughters and granddaughter. She like the shrimp and the Bok Choy. We got the 3 different broth. I wasn't too impressed with it. We had the spicy and beef broth and and regular. We got the beef, bok choy, cabbage, fish ball, vermicelli, noodle, dumplings. It was okay nothing special. You get the veggies, noodles and meat selection from a refrigerated vending machine. It kind of costly. It came out to more than a $100.

I love coming here. The owners are super sweet. Tonight, they gave us gifts! I loooooove the papaya salad. Their hotpot is sooooo good too!

While driving around the Sacramento area in the evening looking for a late-night dinner spot, I happened upon Hotpot Express. Hotpot Express provides an innovative take on the traditional hotpot experience in which diners can select their broths (up to 3 different broths can be chosen) and then select their hot pot contents from a self-serve refrigerator. Diners are charged by the plate with each colored plate representing a different price point. They provide a medium-sized selection of noodles, vegetables, meats, fish cakes, and dumplings for patrons to enjoy. The owner was very friendly in explaining the restaurant's concept and providing us with recommendations, which we appreciated given it was our first time at this spot. We went with the miso and authentic boat noodle broth. Both broths were very flavorful and I'm definitely glad we were able to sample both! From the fridge we went with a selection of noodles (egg and udon noodles), napa cabbage, seafood mushrooms, fish balls, and tofu. The hot pot ingredients tasted fresh and of high-quality. If you're looking for a new hot pot place to try with a unique dining experience to go along with delicious food, then I definitely recommend giving Hot Pot Express a try!

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to come here for a while and we're so glad we finally did. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. In fact, we were the only ones in the restaurant since we came around 8:30pm. The broth was incredibly delicious and totally recommend coming here! The ambiance was nice and clean and a nice dinner spot for anyone looking for something warm to eat. Only downside was that I wish there was a wider range of selection but that could've been because we came close to closing. Nonetheless, still worth coming for the flavorful broth!

Me and my husband's came here at 5 and waited 1 hour to get our food. We order papayas salad which is not bad but the noodles was worst.

Took my best friend & mom here to experience the "hot pot" life... & they LOVED it! You get to choose your own sides/noodles, so each of us were able to eat what we wanted & cook it how we liked it. It was their first time so they were amazed at how easy it was. We chose 2 different broths. The beef & the lemon grass. Both of them were delicious! My favorite part is that it's self serve. You don't have to wait on anybody because everything's already set out in the fridge for you to grab. The employee there was also very friendly. He checked on us a couple of times and cleared our plates once we were finished. There wasn't a lot of people there, just one other group so it was nice & calming. Even as more people came in it didn't get too rowdy. For all 3 of us it did cost around $90, plus tip. So we spent $100. Not bad for the amount of food we ate. By the end we were satisfied & full. If you're looking for a quick place to go with delicious food, go here. You won't regret it

There wasn't a wait for us, but we did make a reservation ahead of time since we had a party of 20 people. This place was genuinely insane. I'm not sure how they managed to combine hot pot, sushi, and Korean BBQ all into one spot for such a cheap price. I've honestly never seen anything like it before. The quality of everything was incredible. You grab your own sushi from the bar, and they had sashimi, lots of different rolls, and plenty of options overall. The hot pot selection was also huge with different soups and ingredients to choose from. The staff were very friendly, and the whole experience was amazing. I'd definitely come back again!

Even though the restaurant is very busy, the service was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The dessert after the hotpot was also a nice surprise and very enjoyable. The price per person is a bit higher than other all you can eat hotpot places, but the quality of the ingredients more than justifies it. I have honestly never had hotpot with such high quality black tiger shrimp, and the beef was the best I have ever had at a hotpot restaurant. The owner clearly focuses on ingredient quality rather than fancy decor or presentation, otherwise the price would easily be much higher. In Las Vegas, hotpot of this same quality usually costs significantly more, so this place is absolutely worth trying. A great option for family gatherings, with excellent freshness and ingredient quality you can really trust.

The Ambiance is really cute when you first enter it is really Christmassy and Chinese New Year decoration. I do love the big space with lots of tables to choose and the seating area is really spacious. I really like the service they were on top refilling the broth and of course refilling the water and making sure we had enough of everything. I tried two hot pot bowls and the first one I tried is their stinky tofu with pork. The stinky tofu was fermented and has a special smell it is really authentic and if you know you know. The pork slices was really thinly packed and there was a lot of it and they were very generous portion. I love how the bowl had a lot of seafood and vegetables and other miscellaneous items. I got Mild spicy with it and it had the perfect kick to it. The other bowl that we had was the Lobster Seafood bowl and this bowl is a little bit bigger and it had a lot of seafood it was like an endless bowl of seafood and veggies. We didn't get spicy on this one and it was really clear broth and it was really comforting and refreshing. Overall a few are looking for a hot pot where you don't have to really engage or cook this is the perfect way to go. The bowl is already preset and decorated and all you have to do is just wait for it to come to a boil and all your food is ready to eat. Each Hot Pot comes with a bowl of rice or vermicelli noodles. Overall I am a fan of the spot and I can't wait to come back and have more hot pot when I am in the area. Also next door is a ice cream creamery where they do Rolled ice cream check that out while you're at it. Thanks for reading and have a yelp-tastic day.
