There was no wait time, which made the experience even better. The menu offers a great variety of options, especially for seafood lovers. The place is beautiful on the inside, I went during lunch so it was relatively easy to go around and get what we need. I would give 1 start but I'm adding a star just because they recently open so maybe they haven't ironed out all the kinks just yet, We ( a friend, my daughter and I), decided to check it out one Friday afternoon. There didn't seem to be a long wait, I added my name to the waitlist, second in line. There was couple waiting as well, looking irritated. Apparently they have been waiting awhile. A group of 6 comes in and we're seated immediately, okay maybe they were ahead of us okay no worries. 15 minutes later, party of 4 comes in, they are immediately seated after 2 minutes ! The couple still waiting. 20 mins later more people arrive. Another party of 3 walks in , put their names in. We sat there still waiting. Another party of 4 comes in and we're immediately seated! At this point I was about to lose it, and so were the others waiting! The other lady ( party of 3) irritated , this is not okay and proceeded to talk to the host, the host apologizes to them and proceeded to seat them, fully ignoring the fact the were have been there waiting for almost 40 minutes , it took me finally yelling, " Hey! What are you doing! We were here first! Been waiting and you kept letting everyone one else go in!" Host stops and immediately finds us a seat! Seriously how hungry are you profit that y'all intentionally make other customers feel unimportant because they have a smaller group! Plain rude. Fire that host! She lacks organization skills and customer services! Disrespectful! Food was meh, not bad not great. Will NEVER return! I don't think the price was worth it really especially compared to Gen, but I loved getting to go and get whatever I wanted anything I wanted and not having to wait for the waitress to bring it like other KBBQ. For a first time hot pot experience, I enjoyed the food! I had the spicy beef broth. I will tell you it lives up to its name. The spice is not for the weak of heart. I feel the was an ample selection of food for the hot pot. They also have meats to cook at your table that are tasty. As for the service it was ok. I say that only because i was already bad for selecting my food and meats and the table top grill was not turned on, and needed to get the attention of one of the servers. Pricing is $$, but over all worth it. Clean and nicely decorated. Good lighting, don't let the outside of the building fool you. Service was terrible. I got really bad food poisoning from here and unfortunately talked my whole group of friends into going with. We all ended up so sick. The ambience was cheap and underwater themed so we assumed the seafood would be a main selling point. All seafood was super frozen not washed and I'm sure this is what made us sick. I called the establishment to inform them because accidents happen and maybe staff accidentally put out someone thing bad. The manager was rude asked me if I ate the food raw and and also said to bring in a doctors note to get a refund because they get these reports often. I have reported to the state and. This is our go-to spot whenever we're craving both hot pot and BBQ. I really love their mushroom and seafood selections! That said, the service has been a consistent downside--most of the servers we've had have been pretty unfriendly, which does take away from the experience. read more

Hot Pot Palace is a great new dining experience!! We love the idea of combining hot pot with Korean bbq. The quality and variety of the food was top notch with excellent service. You walk in and put your name down for approximate our wait time you step outside to wait out of the crowd when you go back inside to expect your seat at least 15 minutes early you can expect your table to have been given away and confronted by a rude and hostile Staff. Me and my boyfriend went on opening day. It was super cool to walk into this place because of the setup and all. Only thing that was disappointing was the soup broths. We walked in and put our name on the list said we would be in the bar waiting, even wrote that down. Hour went by and nothing, we came out and multiple people are extremely mad for being passed over. We went on a Friday so our meal was supposed to be 40$ and when we got our bill was 90$, they charged us for the weekend rate. When ask why was told because that has changed. We came back on Friday night to sit in the bar, the bartender we were expecting to see was not there. The new bartender however was absolutely horrible. She spoke little to no English. horrible customer service. we will 1000% not come back. The reason this is a 5 star review is because of the amazing waitress Vivian! She is so kind and helpful and treats you like your family. I've never remembered a waitress name before except for her and her amazing attentive service. Now for the food. The soups were great! We had the Tom Yumm and the pork belly chicken broth. They were both exceptional and very flavorful better than I've had at happy lamb. The seafood is definitely their stronghold. It was pretty good and great variety. Selection of vegetables was pretty good could use some more. Now for the meats it was ok. The frozen meat was by far the best and the steak was very tender and clean cut. But the short ribs were absolutely terrible. Not that the meat is bad quality but it has a marinade or seasoning that taste very bad. Pretty much tasted like dirt. The place is very pretty with great and comfortable seats. And very clean which I do appreciate. Would definitely come back to see Vivian! But please just don't put that seasoning on the short ribs leave em unseasoned and let people add their own! read more
