I've been to this restaurant a few times I first wanted to say that the atmosphere is friendly and inviting and I don't appreciate people giving them a low rating. They are very, very very high-quality steakhouse and they are great. I love this place. This place has a lot is very very good but people are very very nice and it deserves five stars and for those that don't give it five stars a few deserve five stars they're very clean. The steak is great and the people are friendly and the company that owns it they work very hard and my favorite among certain steakhouses so I give them five stars based on that. read more

You can tell Houston's is horrible they don't even respond to any review good or bad. Went in as 1 person waiting for a spot at the bar. waited a while and was told by the bartender this spot is yours. Perfect until male bartender comes up because there was two chairs and says you have to wait longer until 1 opens up. He sat the party Of 2 , I waited an extra 10 minutes to sit next to some lady screaming at her husband plus I had no phone service there like I did the other spot as it was close to where I was waiting. If I could give Houson's a zero star I would. I went to this location with my family for my birthday. My family included a baby under a year old. The manager stated that they didn't have high chairs but little did he know we had our own high chair for the baby. When we told him he said the policy doesn't allow high chairs on the aisle. He gave us the option to dine with with the baby on our laps, which I believe is even more dangerous (think of hot plates and knives on a table.) It is very upsetting to see that Houston's discriminates against families who have babies or young children. Also, this situation led me to believe that Houston's may also discriminate against handicapped individuals because if they can't have a small high chair in the aisle, how would they allow a person sitting on a wheelchair? read more

I asked if I could place the order and wait while a spot opens up at the bar to save me some time, but no, my salmon order can't be placed until I have a seat. It's a Tuesday evening. My son had asked to go out for a nice steak dinner for his 26th birthday, and we were blown away by our truly magnificent experience at Houston's in Boca. We already knew the food was terrific, and it more than lived up to our expectations, but Hannah our server went totally above and beyond to ensure our entire experience was stupendous. Not only was she extremely professional, warm and congenial, but she diligently and enthusiastically fixed an issue with my son's steak. He's a very big guy and had ordered the prime filet, but for $70 expected a generous portion to satisfy a huge appetite. Nothing on the menu indicated the size, however, and he was really disappointed to receive a steak that barely looked 7 ounces big. (The pre-cooked weight is 9 ounces, we found out.) As a mom who wanted this rare mother-son outing to be perfect, I reluctantly explained his disappointment to Hannah, and asked if it was even possible to switch the filet for the (15 oz.) Hawaiian ribeye. Not only did she immediately and enthusiastically comply, and not only did the manager bring out a perfectly cooked, scrumptious ribeye that looked well OVER 15 ounces, but we were literally stunned that Houston's ended up not charging us for the filet OR even for the ribeye! Meanwhile, I enjoyed the world's BEST bacon cheeseburger, cooked perfectly rare as requested and bursting with flavor from top-quality ingredients, and the baked potato and mashed potatoes were excellent. Houston's-Boca is a gem! It's so rare to find exceedingly great customer service ANYWHERE, no matter how awesome and/or high-end the food. We could not have been more delighted with our experience. Not your typical Houston's bar experience! We walked out. Wanted to enjoy a nice lunch at the bar. The last 3 times we've been it's the same. Server at the bar very disinterested. Houston's isn't a place I particularly frequent, but a place I always enjoy when I go. The main reason for my lack of visitation is the price, not saying it's not worth it, but it's not something my budget could handle on a daily basis. That being said, if yours can, have at it, enjoy, and take me with you. The biggest tip I could give you is to make a reservation. Houston's is always crowded. If I didn't have a reservation, I for sure had to wait at least 20 minutes for a table, sometimes much longer. Another tip would be to not sit at the tables next to the bar. On my last visit here that where we sat, and because the bar gets busy, it becomes really noisy. It's bad if you're on a date, or maybe it's good if you're tired of hearing them talking... The service here was great during my visit. The staff is constantly cleaning the table from wiping it down to removing unwanted plates and replacing silverware. You are taken care of when you're at Houston's. My go-to here is the Hawaiian pork chop with their loaded baked potato which run about $38. Honestly I would probably choose this as my last meal if I was on death row. It's that good. The sweet pineapple flavoring on the pork is outstanding and who doesn't love a giant baked potato with all the fixings? I mean, the serving may be enormous when you get it but I've never ever had issues finishing it in one sitting. I like Houston's. It may not always be in my price range, but I know when I go it'll be money very well spent. This location is clean. The staff is great, and the food is quality. read more

So we got here at 6:00 on a Thursday and we told there was a 25 min wait. As a party of three, we were seated sometime after 7:00, at the bar. The food came out quickly and was mediocre at best. I ordered the "house-made" veggie burger ($17) with no cheese and it came with shredded lettuce, tomato, sliced pickles and mayo. I haven't been to McDonalds in a while but I'm pretty sure they use the same buns. The veggie burger itself did not hold together and I could barely differentiate the mush amongst the toppings. I ordered the tabbouli for the side and it had absolutely no flavor; I had to pack on the Crystal hot sauce (which is the nastiest hot sauce - in my opinion). The food is good, but a bit pricey. We had the spinach dip, the fish sandwich, the red bean soup and the Ahi tuna salad. Everything was wonderful except the spinach dip. In my opinion it's not quite as good as Lets say J Alexanders. They all he tuna was extremely fresh, and they gave me a very large pieces. The fish sandwich was fresh very crispy and not greasy it at all. Yes the red bean soup was absolutely wonderful. All the food came out hot and fresh. The only downside was, I felt like my waitress was rushed and not as helpful as she could've been. I'm not sure that was her fault, I think they were just very busy. Went for lunch with a friend today and have to say I was kind of disappointed. We were there at 11:45 and were seated immeadiately by a nice hostess. The interior is comfortable and has a good ambience. We were in a small boorh for two. I ordered the kale salad for $18. It is finely cropped kale, herbs, cabbage, nuts, and rotisserie chicken with a pranut dressing. The portion size was pretty small for the cost. The salad was tasty but the chicken was not good at all. Lots of fat and gristly pieces. Yuck! I told our server and she brought me salad with sliced chicken breast which was better. They did take it off but I expected better care with the food prep. My friend had the veggie burger which I tried and found to be delicuous. Incredibly unaccommodating. We had a family of 5 and went at 4:30pm for dinner and was told it would be a two hour wait because they only had two tables to accommodate 5 people. Used to eat at Houston's in Atlanta and it's one of the classiest restaurants. So when we saw there was one in Boca, we had to try it. We sat at the bar and Megan was our bartender. Great Manhatten and Martini. I give her 5 stars! The menu said the artichoke appetizers were not available. Megan told us they were! Fantastic. We then split great tuna with slaw and tomatoes basil. Took hubby to Houston's in Boca Raton for Father's Day. He first discovered margaritas a month ago, so he wants to try them everywhere we go. I have to say...Houston's has a killer margarita. I've been drinking them my whole adult life being from South Texas. They are excellent! We ordered the Spinach Artichoke dip. Good as always. I got the Cheese Burger, and he got the French Dip sandwich. We shared. Both were perfect. I love the horseradish sauce! Cole slaw had a lemony flavor. Perfect amount of dressing. We ended with the Key Lime Pie. They have the best!!!! Perfect amount of tartness with that nutty crust. Yum! Service was awesome! The hostess took our drink and appetizer order when she seated us. Our waitress came along and was extremely nice. During our meal, different people kept up with our table. Our waitress was very attentive. Great experience! read more

My favorite restaurant for date night. Masks are required for both guests and employees. Highly suggest to make reservations before hand. Drinks are nice and strong (I like my drinks on the sweeter side). Lighting is dim which sets for a more romantic tone. The Hawaiian dish is our favorite, and chicken is a close second. We started with artichoke spinach dip and it was nice. My Wife had roasted chicken and gave at meh. I had the ribs. The sauce was reminiscent of KC Masterpiece watered down. Duffy's for Sheldon Cooper(aka TRH) does a better job. Supposed to be fall of the bone, not even close. The coleslaw was bizarre. The Key lime pie was delish! Caveat: They serve espresso in whisky glasses, no regular or decaf coffee. You will have to sweeten your tea with the provided portion controlled packages, provided. Prices should be $$$$. Staff seems polite and upholds these company "policies" (I guess I'd call it that?) The food is solid and consistent with the other Hillstone Restaurants in the area (Palm Beach Grill, Honor Bar, Miracle Mile) Some items (Chicken Sandwich, French Dip) are really good, some are just ok (Hawaiian Ribeye). That's all subjective I guess. Ambience and service is always good each time I've been. I guess I can appreciate the consistency and dedication to corporate policies but at the end of the day if people are willing to pay $50 for two chicken sandwiches and fries, why not just give it to them? read more

Made a reservation for a table online which was a good thing to do since it was busy. Ordered the rib eye steak medium rare and it came to the table medium to medium well. I almost did not send back however it was dry and no flavor. I told the waitress and they made another steak. The chef manager even came out to apologize. after 30 years of eating at this restaurant in Boca Raton as well as California, New York, Atlanta and Nashville I am truly done with this restaurant. Went to the Boca Raton location like we do at least two times a month and were told on the Thursday night that it would be 30 to 45 minutes. We went to the bar and stood there for cocktails and waited for our table. We decided to put our name on the list at the bar as well. After seeing two separate parties be seated that names were not on the list whatsoever I went down to the hosta station to find out when our table will be ready. this is one hour after the fact. She said I'll check back in a little bit maybe 15 to 20 minutes. We waited, and waited, and decided to leave. We arrived home 20 minutes later, and got a text that our table was almost ready.
