Well established diverse American classic menu scratch kitchen restaurant. Famous for their ribs and good burgers, chicken and French dip sandwiches. Great top notch h servers and service and comfortable relaxing warm atmosphere. You will be taken care of here. Kudos to Sushant our waiter- great friendly personality who certainly made our evening enjoyable

I am a frequent guest at the related Hillstone brand in Winter Park Florida, and the restaurant group is consistently "elevated" in fare and service. Also, I appreciate the more adult-focused atmosphere, and dress code. Similar vibe at the Scottsdale Road Houston's. Friendly professional service with Emily (drinks at the community table, as we were waiting for a bar vacancy), and matching friendly service at the bar with Tyler. We had a bowl of Clam Chowder to start, and dove into the Cedar Plank Salmon, and the GF had the Pan Asian Noodle Salad. The Salmon is consistently above average at Houston's and a main reason for the visit. I dabbled in the Asian Salad which was also worthy (I would add a protein if it was my dish). Houston's consistently achieves their high standard.

HOUSTON'S @ SCOTTSDALE The Hawaiian rib eye was AMAZING, and this is as someone who usually never likes steak. The appetizer was the house smoked salmon and it was super super delicious to pair. The service was amazing for our birthday celebration when bringing out the apple crumble. It is a little more high end but perfect for a date night. Overall 5/5

This is now my staple when in Scottsdale. The atmosphere is great. Booths are very comfortable. The food taste and presentation is always great. Our waitress, Emma, was incredible. It seemed like she was always there when we needed something. I was impressed! The food is great, the staff is great the atmosphere is great mission accomplished!

Amazing! It's a great place. Dim lighting but not too dark to see the menu. Gives a little fancier vibe. Dress to impress. They only allow reservations for smaller parties, I believe 4 is the max. The staff is extremely friendly and very attentive. Now the food, yummy! The ribeye is my absolute favorite and a huge portion as I always end up taking half home. My parents split the ribs and wow they literally licked the plate clean. Their fries are cooked in duck fat...so good! The cocktails never miss, if you don't see anything you want on the menu they will make whatever you're craving with a generous pour. This is not my first time here and won't be my last!

Houston's serves up some reliably solid food. For a chain, it's actually pretty good, and the ambiance has that comfortable, slightly-upscale neighborhood vibe--perfect for when you just want a good burger and fries without the fuss. We ordered the artichoke hearts, the fried chicken sandwich, and the ahi steak. The ahi came out perfectly rare, which was on point and honestly a pleasant surprise. We hadn't been here in nearly two decades, but a friend kept raving about their key lime pie, so of course we had to try it. It was... fine. Nothing life-changing. Service is exactly what you'd expect from a well-run spot like this--waters topped off regularly, servers checking in without hovering. Overall, a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Waitress - gracious Ambiance - casual yet classy Food - good but didn't blow us away I ordered the salmon and a side of chicken, both were tasty and satisfying, I was happy with how my meal turned out. My husband got the pork chop. I think he liked the cabbage it came with more than the pork itself as he said the pork was very dry. Makes sense for how thick it was. The French Fries were MEH. The cheeseburger was ... Eh. The key lime pie was delicious! Not the worst food in the world by any means but definitely not a place we will frequent/make a regular staple in our dining out lives.

Yes please! Their artichokes are delicious, please try them

Houstons never let's us down! Its always a relaxing, delicious experience. I have to warn you though a reservation is recommended. They can get busy. And I don't like to wait. We love their appetizers. We usually have their fries, shrimp and artichokes if available. We had their Red Ruby trout. Grace our server recommended it and it was delicious. Excellent sauce and moist. The smaller shrimp that came with it was good also. It came with a crisp, very fresh coleslaw. Also perfectly seasoned. Grace thank you for excellent customer service! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Scottsdale area. I love coming here for intimate settings like a girls lunch or date night. I would say it's better for smaller groups and it's dark on the inside so have your flashlights ready for the menu! We came here for lunch. I always recommend their salads to anyone and for dinner I love the ribs! Julia was a wonderful server and was very attentive!

What is the veggie burger made of? Does it have soy?

No. It is beans, rice, oats, beets, onions and a great blend of spices.

Can they handle a party of 10?

They aren't not taking more then 4 people at the moment due to covid. And they may or may not be changing policy to only allow smaller parties. If you want a bigger group example, 8 people you'll be separated 4 by 4. So 4 at one table and 4 on a…

Is it true that this restaurant is not requiring masks or social distancing? Are all the staff wearing masks? Are the tables socially distanced?

Everyone is wearing a mask while walking or not eating- I did notice they sat every table where other places I've eaten in only sat every other table- not sure if that helps....

Do they have high chairs for babies?

Call them and ask. It's not really a baby kind of restaurant though.

For apps we got the lamb fondue which was super tender and unique. Dipping meet in cheese? Literally nothing better. Then we also got the green chili pork stew which is a MUST try! Not too spicy and full of flavor. Also, great for sharing as you fill it in the buttery tortillas. The filet was seriously one of the best I've ever had in Arizona. It has a nice shallot butter crust and it was cooked PERFECTLY medium rare. This was a highlight. The pork chop is huge and has a nice sweetness to it. The meat wasn't dry either...it pretty much tasted like the best bacon I've ever had LOL Everyone must get the green chili Mac n cheese. Not spicy at all just Smokey and tangy and full of cheese but shockingly not that heavy. The pecan pie was unreal. Gooey and sweet but the crust was still super flakey. The brownie skillet was soft in the middle which is how it always should be. Their known for their frozen huckleberry margarita which is a treat in its own but it's not too icey they definitely don't skip out on the tequila. Rachel was our server. She's been there for awhile so you know that they treat their staff well. She was super knowledgeable and honest about certain menu items. I also spoke with the manager, Matt, who was very welcoming and seemed very proud of his restaurant (as he should be). Overall highly reccomend it here. Everything exceeded my expectations. The host told us that there was open seating along the wall or under cover outside. Since the wall was full, we ventured outside near the cooler. We were given water right away but didn't even see a server, Jessica, for 12 mins. We even had to ask her for menus. It was a very awkward start. My wife ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon and a Caesar salad, plus wine while I got the 22 ounce Ribeye and a side of Poblano and PepperJack Grits, plus an iced tea. It all came to $137.11 plus tip. Our salad arrived in 8 minutes and our dinner 10 mins later. The salad was outstanding. Plenty of romaine, dressed with the right amount of dressing, 3-4 croutons and a mound of shaved Parmesan cheese. The salmon was really good, served with sautéed green beans and soy butter. My steak was cooked perfectly. It was seasoned well and the grits were incredible. They were creamy, with pronounced poblano and Jack cheese. It was the perfect accompaniment. Jessica did a great job checking in on us during our meal but, again, it was awkward waiting 15 mins for her to offer dessert and check. We will return but perhaps not during happy hour, when it's very busy but the evening staff hasn't arrived yet.

I checked us in for our reservation and the hostess welcomed us in, then promptly took us to the table that had been beautifully prepared for our dining experience. She asked if the lighting was too dim, but it was perfect. Every staff member was dressed neatly and welcomed us as we walked by. No staff members were running around frantically, and I could tell they are staffed amazingly well. So organized and kind, genuinely smiling at us. I could tell that anyone would be willing to help us, if we needed them! Our waiter, Daniel, came over and again, welcomed us. He let us know the specials of the night and how dinner will be served. Let us know not to touch the 500 degree plates when they arrived. He took out drink orders and answered any question we had. He promptly came back with drinks and fresh, hot rolls!! Daniel took our dinner orders. We all sat and visited while waiting, enjoying our drinks and the hot rolls. Dinner was served on, as promised, hot plates!! Then, they served each of us the crème brûlée corn. All of us that ordered meat, asked for medium rare and we were not disappointed!! Our meats were spot on!!! Perfection!!! The petite filet mignon were very juicy and delicious, as was the New York strip. The Crispy Hasselback Potatoes were so good, especially with the topping. The Crispy Shrimp Deviled Eggs were so good!!! I feel like our meals were simple yet divine!! After we enjoyed dinner, we were served the Ultimate Warm Vanilla Caramel Cake, on the house!! What a nice touch!! So yummy and it felt guilty eating such a fabulous dessert!! We all shared it! All in all, I wish I could give 10/10 stars!! Such a wonderful dinner experience!! I loved the classic but modern feel of the whole restaurant. Our server has medium length hair and there's an open flame live lit candle and every time she bent over to clean the table or put food down, I was extremely worried her hair was about to catch on fire, she did not tuck her hair or anything just free will letting it dangle hoping it wouldn't catch on fire. Very concerning. We've been here a handful of times before for special occasions and it's been fantastic. However I don't know why the flavors this time just were not it. Everything, I mean everything, was so extremely salty. Not just the seafood tower we got and the lemon pasta but the steak, the sides, everything was so so so salty. I finished 5 glasses of water that night. We also specifically requested to save the bone from the tomahawk because we like to make stew from it. Sure that's not very fine dining of us but I also don't think that's for other people to judge. But the servers didn't pack the bone like we requested. The sides were very delicious though! The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. Service was excellent and the patio was well-lit and had heaters ready for colder weather. Vecina is on the pricier side for sure, but you will not be disappointed.

Instead, we were publicly embarrassed and treated like criminals for absolutely no reason. After we were seated, I closed the curtain because the table next to us was loud and obnoxious. Minutes later, the manager, Hannah, walked over and decided our entire group was "too intoxicated" to be served. Not a single person in our group was causing a scene, being disrespectful, or acting out of control. We were sitting at our table, ordering dinner. What makes this even more ridiculous is that after taking our drink order, Hannah personally brought out three green tea drinks in champagne glasses. Then, almost immediately afterward, she decided we were somehow too intoxicated to stay. Which is it? If we were supposedly too drunk to be there, why were drinks being served in the first place? We had already ordered what would have been around a $700 meal, and instead of being treated with basic respect, we were stereotyped because we were a bachelorette party. It felt like Hannah had already made up her mind before giving us any chance to prove otherwise. Restaurants absolutely have the right to refuse service to genuinely intoxicated guests. What they should not do is make assumptions based on the type of celebration or the size of a group. This wasn't responsible service--it was poor judgment, inconsistent management, and an incredibly embarrassing way to treat paying customers. We'll happily spend our money somewhere that values its guests instead of profiling them. !!! DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!! We ended up at ZUZUs, they treated us with respect and dignity. This place has a very casual vibe with the bar seating on one side and the dining room on the other. Give it shot and hop on The Joy Bus at Bootleggers Modern American Smokehouse!

Came in on a Saturday at 6pm. Pretty dead yet the service was so slow. We had to constantly ask for…read morethe necessities...silverware, plates, missing food. Also, it's 100° in AZ. There was no ice in any of our drinks and was warm We ordered: Deviled eggs - there's only 3 eggs?!? So that's 1.5 whole eggs --- wtf. Where does the other half go??? Why not just give us 4 eggs?? Nachos - decent. Large pieces of tender meat Bacon board - this was sad. Maybe change your presentation so it at looks better 4 person sampler - this was prob the best thing. With a good amount of meats and food Kids meals - they forgot to bring fries with the meals until we were ready to pay the bill. They also were supposed to come with sundaes but they ran out
