Good place to get matcha and coffee. I think I like their coffee more than their matcha. Service was okay. Cool spot in the library.

One of the best matcha spots in Seattle!! I'm a big matcha fan and sometimes Seattle matcha can be a hit or miss but their earl grey matcha is sooo good!! Highly recommend!! It's creamy and has the right amount of sweetness and critrusness. Paris really well with matcha and it took me by surprise.

Any excuse to go to the SPL is a green light for me. Staff was very friendly, matcha was strong and flavorful, vibes are immaculate, easy access right inside the entrance from 5th ave. I ordered their 'secret' strawberry matcha which was bomb. I think topping the drinks with their signature foam makes a big difference.

Very convenient location in the downtown public library. The service was friendly and fast. They have tables right there or lots around the library. We got the early grey matcha, one with cream top one without. I wish I had gotten the pistachio matcha instead, the syrup wasn't my favorite and a bit too sweet. I didn't love the matcha they use, it was a chalky. I would come again while studying to try there other drinks, I've also heard their coffee is good.

Overall nice vibe it's in a library so it's peaceful but the homeless population in this building is unsettling. Service was nice nothing special tho, just average. The drinks taste and look very similar, tried Vanilla Bean Matcha, Maple Sea Salt Matcha, and the Earl Grey Matcha. The maple and vanilla bean taste almost identical, vb was very milky, maple we got w oat and all u could taste was the oat flavor. Earl Grey matcha was very good tho

10/10 friendly staff, amazing coffee. Located inside the library, cool vibe!! Went on a Saturday morning and was not busy at all!!

8/10 overall earl grey matcha (9.25/10) one of their signature drinks!! super yummy without being overpowering and not too sweet. creamy and a good sipping drink vanilla bean matcha (7/10) too milky imo, and can't really taste the vanilla or matcha maple sea salt matcha w oat milk (8/10) i feel like they forgot the maple sea salt. but pretty goood one of the better matchas ive had blueberry cheesecake pastry (7/10) they warmed it up and it was good but just too sweet overall really nice! matcha is okay priced (def not for everyday though) and the owner is super sweet. one of my favorite earl grey matchas

Move over Phe! You have some hidden competition with your matcha when it comes to this place. My friend and I decided to go on an unplanned matcha run and it took us here when he said he found this place on TikTok. This is on the 3rd floor of Central Library in downtown Seattle, though you can also get directly here using the entrance on 5th Ave; regardless, try to get here via public transportation if at all possible. There's not really an interior here, since the whole library itself is the interior: crowded because it's matcha but oddly quiet and mellow because it's a library setting. The only visible menu is up at the counter and servers take your order there. My friend and I got the earl grey matcha with oat milk, and oh boy this gives places like Phe a run for their money! The matcha here is earthy and floral, and the taste distinction between the matcha itself and milk is perfectly clear. The matcha's not muddled by the milk one bit, and I could have probably gotten a second one if I was crazy. They also don't charge extra for milk substitution so that was also a huge plus for me, and anyone who may be slightly lactose intolerant. This place got relatively busy throughout our stay here though it still feels there needs to be more advertising done. For matcha lovers I wouldn't pass up on this place where you can get awesome matcha AND visit one of Seattle's most architecturally pleasing libraries in the process.

As everyone else has mentioned, get the Earl grey matcha! The color is a vibrant green and the Earl grey flavor really comes through. Christina helped take my order and she was super kind! The upper levels of the library allow covered drinks so it was nice to explore the different floors and sip on my matcha. I'll have to come back and try some other drinks, maybe even treat myself to one of their pastries :)

One of my favorite matcha's in seattle. I loved having their matcha at various different thrift markets, and am so happy they have a location at the seattle public library now. It's a great spot and I will definitely be coming back. I tried the pistachio matcha this time which was great, the pistachio flavor was not too overpowering. Each time the owners are always so kind and work very efficiently with their lines.

Friendly and efficient customer service. I ordered the mango matcha with oat milk and it was really delicious! Howdy Y'all Matcha is located on the 2nd floor of the downtown Seattle library and there's some seating. They also sell some pastries and have a points system which I really like. Overall, I recommend this coffee/matcha stand if you're ever at the downtown Seattle library and I'll definitely be back here again.

I am so happy Howdy Y'all finally has a permanent location and inside one of the coolest libraries too. They are so consistent with their quality and have some amazing drinks. My personal favorite go-tos are the classic iced matcha (sometimes adding a cream top when I want a little something special - and it is SO YUMMY) and the maple sea salt latte. I have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered from them. The owners are also just such amazing humans which keeps me coming back! Definitely a great local business to check out and support

I've tried all the matcha spots in Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, and even Vancouver BC but Howdy Yall is by far my favorite. The earl grey matcha is my go-to!

We ordered an abundant spread, and every dish impressed. The clear crowd favorite was the Singapore black pepper prawns - fragrant, perfectly spiced, and completely addictive. That black pepper sauce was hands down the star of the meal: rich, peppery, and deeply flavorful. It was my favorite and could easily be eaten on everything. The Mala curry crab and XO crab were both outstanding; layered with complex, indulgent flavors. The Thai green chili clams and saus mentega clams were vibrant and comforting, while the crab fried rice had generous morsels of crab folded throughout the dish. We also really enjoyed the Indonesian chicken wings, which were crispy and flavorful, and the stir-fried vegetables, which added a fresh, well-balanced contrast to the seafood-heavy menu. Everything traveled well, was thoughtfully prepared, and made for an unforgettable catered meal. If you're considering catering from Marimakan Crabhouse, I can't recommend it highly enough. Get the black pepper sauce! Amazing from start to finish, and Chef V or Rachel is lovely to work with.

It is somewhat difficult to get a reservation, because the space here is very small and packed with tables. The one downside is that it is a little tight and can be difficult to hear. But I'll take that for the opportunity to eat here. And as long as you go in with the mindset that you might drop some serious coin on the meal, you're gonna have a phenomenal time. Because we were so close to our dining neighbors, I was actually able to ask them what they were eating since it looked so good. And that's how we ended up with some mind blowing fritters. A perfect appetizer to start the night. They have a great selection of wines that are actually reasonably priced to buy by the bottle. I'm pretty sure I saw someone taking one home that they drank a few bottles out of also, which is a first. I was impressed by the creativity of the dishes as well. I'm not one to be impressed by cabbage, or ever order it, but the charred cabbage looked enticing. The cheese on the bottom, seasoning, and dates transformed this ordinary vegetable into a star. And of course you gotta see what they're doing with the seasonal veggies. I can't seem to ever cook squash the right way, but they crafted it into the ideal consistency where it was almost meaty. That New York Strip was out of this world though... the garlic sauce that accompanied it was just enough of a flavor enhancer that it didn't take away from a steak that was cooked to the ideal temp. I'll be back for more!!

Every food item was brought out, explained, and was very visually appealing! This is definitely a place you go if you want to have an experience, and we were happily surprised at how well that experience went. Some of the top items were pasta in wagyu beef broth, scallops kind of like ceviche, savory macrons, squab (some kind of small bird), and the desserts were great as well! They also give you a little coffee or tea to go as you walk home which is nice, and the cups are pretty cute. One thing to note, is we had the non-alchoholic drink pairing, and thought it would be more like cocktails without alcohol. I would suggest you look more at what it actually entails via the drink menu before you have it. It's a lot of fermented items, so if you don't like kambucha then I would suggest getting something else. Overall though, I definitely recommend this place, I will be going back as their menu changes with the seasons.
