I can't say I feel any sort of way about wanting to come back.

It's clearly well kept because there were no bees attracted to any of the trash cans. The store also smells very clean. Staff is swift and friendly. Our sundaes are soft serve based and enjoyable. Pricing acceptable as well. Long list of sundae options. And more. But if you're looking for hard scoops, they only have 3 flavors (Butter Pecan, Michigan Pot Hole, and Superman). Great spot! My wife and I have been in Ferndale for a few years and just recently decided to try Howe's. It's easy to miss among the more popular surrounding restaurants but we had such a good experience the first time that it's now one of our go-to's. The atmosphere is great, the service is friendly, and there's just good vibes all around. I also love that everything we order comes with cornbread and there are lighter dinner options available that won't make you overly full before a night out. I recommend the Blackened Voodoo Chicken and my wife likes the Atchafalaya Chicken. It's a great spot for drinks too whether you're out on the patio or at the bar. Not sure if people are trying to keep this place a hidden gem with the less than 5-star reviews but I have to call it how I see it. read more

My husband and I came here on our 2nd date (and many times since). The first reviewer described it perfectly - cozy & dark & intimate-feeling. The food is great - there's a lot of spicy stuff to choose from, but it's not all hot. My personal favorite is the catfish. It's "fried", but more breaded and not real heavy. It comes with a great sauce. I also like the mac n cheese side dish! Husband tries something new every time we go and has not been disappointed. FYI - It will be busy on weekend nights, as the place is on the small side, but it's worth the wait and there is a long bar to sit at to enjoy a cocktail and people-watch. I visited this restaurant a few times and was never impressed with the quality of food or service. In recent months, the owners have revealed just how scummy they are by suing the city of Ferndale over the most petty complaint possible. Instead of giving back to the city that made them who they are today, they're attempting to block the expansion of a pedestrian-friendly city, which is something only a selfish scumbag establishment would do. I won't be visiting this mediocre place ever again, and I strongly suggest you don't either. read more

The Millennium Falcon seafood tower was the star of the meal--fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely worth ordering. The oysters were some of the best I've had recently, especially considering we're this far from the ocean. The crab dip was unique, flavorful, and something I'd happily order again. The only dish that didn't quite hit for me was the lobster gnocchi. It was presented beautifully, but for my palate there was just a little too much tarragon in the cream sauce. That's more of a personal preference than a flaw in the dish. The restrooms were clean, parking is limited, but so is the seating, so it seems to balance out. Overall, there's really not much bad to say about Voyager. Excellent seafood, knowledgeable service, and a fun atmosphere make it one of the better dining experiences in the area. I'd gladly return

Not too spicy in part because of the ranch that came with it; the cheeks were perfectly cooked. They could not have been more tender. One of the best bites I've had in quite some time. We did another dozen oysters which came from a different spot. I thought that was a nice touch. For $2 an oyster, they were begging us to order haha. Seriously though; fantastic deal. Finally, I had the fish sandwich. The tartare sauce was a bit overpowering but I liked the taste so no complaints. Fish was perfectly fried and I liked the inclusion of pickles of which there were many. A very solid fish sandwich. They brought us a brownie and a bit of ice cream on the house which I very much appreciated. Talk about a delicious brownie. It had no right being that good. Must order.
