I will never use them nor would I recommend them to anyone. I contacted them via Yelp messages…read more Knowing exactly what I need to repair the oven part of my gas range. I needed an igniter. So he comes and charges $99. And it would go towards the repair if decided to move forward. He comes and takes about 5-10 minutes and tells me it is the igniter and it would be $347. for total. I already had done my research and know that the part is $35 and I could pickup from a local appliance part store in Montgomery County. Or order directly from Whirlpool for under $50. So when I asked him how much is the part, He said $149. Then I asked him if he had the igniter already or would he have to order it? He said he's prepared & has it in his box. I had then asked him to see what it looked like. That's when he tells me " I cannot show that to you, I have already told you too much information about it." That's when I put an end to it. I will not put up with shady business people, businesses allowing this. I paid the $99. As first agreed and told him to get out of my house. He is an older man that needs to realize that people ( no matter the gender or race of their clients, potential and now-Never). Do not assume that the general public do not research before they reach out to you from online!!!!! The only good thing I will add: The early on communicating about eta arrival. That is the only thing he was good about. And he used my paper towel on the counter, and left the dirty used ones on my counter. The nerve! I would have NO stars, if allowed. So this is the only reason why it has a one. I shouldn't have even paid the $99. In my opinion due to the whole dishonesty. But he was in my house already.

Service has just been reputed for next week. CLOVIS arrived…read moreearly on Friday after his first visit on Monday and he ordered the parts. He was efficient and did the job in only two hours repairing my washer so it no longer leaks water out front door; repaired my dryer so it gets hot to dry clothes. I highly recommend Doctor Appliance. (Samsung upright washer and dryer).

On January 7th, I purchased a new water heater through BGE Home and they installed a Bradford White…read morewater heater model RE250T6-1NCWW.  Note that I also purchased a worthless $70 home warranty which I'm trying to figure out why. Within one week, the unit leaked during the night causing $3000 worth of water damage to my laundry room and spare bathroom.   A technician from BGE Home came out the next day and replaced the unit stating that it was defective.  They also won't provide documentation to that effect. I guess the unit just got worn out after a week? IDK but it seems like a $1200 water heater should last longer than a week right? BGE Home says they are not responsible, telling me to get in touch with the manufacturer. So I contacted Bradford White with the details requesting reimbursement and this was their response: "Our warranty does not cover any incidental property damage or consequential costs related to property damage.   Respectfully, your request for reimbursement is denied." Keep this in mind when you go to pick a new water heater and your contractor suggest a Bradford White!  Trust me, you do not want this company! Also keep in mind that BGE Home is not there to help you with resolving any damages and I will look elsewhere for all my home needs in the future!

We were able to schedule next day and the tech that came out was able to come to do the repair early and on a weekend. The replacement of our water heater went smooth and quick. Couldn't be happier with the level of service. We initially had another very big regional repair service (M & S) out to diagnose and repair the old water heater. They provided almost no customer service compared to what we received from Steven at BGE Home. BGE Home is definitely first on my list next time for any plumbing repairs that we may need.

Our LG washing machine had been stalling out with an error code indicating an issue that was likely a failing vibration sensor, this would leave our clothes partially washed and sopping wet. John from Top Notch came to our house, observed the washer failing to complete a cycle multiple times with the same error code and listened to our concerns. After leaving to research the problem he left a voice mail later that day saying that he had consulted a colleague and suggested that we were just loading it incorrectly, he then described in detail how to properly load a washing machine. For context, we had been using this washer for three years without issue before it suddenly started failing mid-cycle, we are also both in our mid/late thirties so we have some experience doing our own laundry. We decided to go back to Sterling Appliance who believed us when we said there was a problem and they replaced the board with the sensor. Unsurprisingly actually performing the repair was more effective than gaslighting us about it and the washer is back to normal

I hate how much work it was to get what we paid for, but the in-home service was always good from John, and we eventually got to where we needed to be, even if it was a little painful.
