I have been here twice and the food as been fairly decent. The "epic" mac and cheese is not as good as they claim, but it is serviceable. The meat however has been good. The only drawbacks I would say are the prices and the hours. They close fairly early for a lunch/dinner place. I was watching the NFC Championship game at the bar with my girlfriend and the place closed at 8:00 PM. Better hours and better pricing and I would have rated it 4 stars. I once read a review that had some suggestions that should send up a red flag when choosing a place to eat BBQ, and one is when they have to use adjectives to describe their food like "tender" or "tasty". Wow this is an amazing place! The brisket is the best I've ever had! They were really quick and prompt with their food and service as well. Don't be thrown off that the restaurant in in an old gas station, they've really done it up to suit the kind of food and service they offer. HQ style for a buck with 2 onion rings and slaw. It was 3.5 star Sammy. Kaiser bun good but I like a really soft bun for pulled pork sammiches. Also the pork is dry and you add the sauce. Tender. Moist enough. Little crust. Great. The spicy sauce is sweet and spicy. Guy said it's the best one cuz I was gonna try the mild and sweet too. Don't waste your time. Onion rings standard. I like slaw on those a little more wet. It was dry. The drinks come in mason jars. And the sides come in short wide mouthed canning jars, kinda cool. "Epic Mac-N-Cheese" was good not epic. We are from Sheridan and when we drive through Casper we must stop here to get an order of ribs and pulled pork to bring home. This is smoked, and unlike other places you can taste it. It taste like it is cooked/smoked over ole fashion wood charcoal not briquettes. Each time it has been juicy and bursting with flavor. I'm not over-joyed with the Mac and Cheese. It reminds me of cafeteria style, a step up from blue boxed, but not great. Each to their own, but I won't be ordering Mac and Cheese again. Eat here! Some of the best BBQ ever! Seriously! And it's a converted gas station (we drove right by it initially). Ribs are cooked just right. We had the 1/2 rack w/habanero BBQ sauce! So good, that we bought a jar of sauce to take back to CA. Took in a bottle of wine (of course) & no corkage fee. No wine glasses either, so they brought us mason jars! Loved it! Ordered sides of French fries (we're into them & try them at every restaurant that has them on their menu), slaw, beans & mac n cheese. Fries & mac were good, not great. Slaw was great. Beans were "killer"!!! So so good! And TO TOP IT OFF: entire bill was $24!!! Yes, twenty four dollars! We had the brisket plate, as well as pulled pork. Baked beans, French fries, sweet potato fries and epic Mac/cheese - all prepared well. Had the ribs. I travel to many states and try ribs from everywhere. These were very mainstream. I am not sure why the call it "Memphis style dry rub" as they tasted like "plain ribs". Honey bbq sauce was good. I imagine the ribs were cooked in oven and finished on a grill. In all fairness it's not a smoke house so ribs usually cooked that way. They should either remove the back membrane or at least score them. I would give the Mac and cheese 5 stars! They were very good. read more

This place is great. The place is in an old gas station, so when you pull up it doesn't look like much. DO NOT let that stop you. The brisket and ribs were perfect, the sides were all delicious. We had the mac and cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, and onion rings. Each side was delicious. They also have a great beer selection. The service was friendly and professional, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. I can't think of one bad thing to say about the whole experience. I wish that we weren't on a road trip, and could have gone someplace to lay down and nap after the meal, I would have eaten to the point of discomfort and sleepiness because the food was so good.
