This is a must stop in while walking the Village. Their flavors are so good. Loved the coconut pineapple as well as the chocolate brownie. It is clean and cute. Don't fall for the hours. They open and close as they please. We arrived at 8:10 when the hours show they close at 8:30, and the employees looked at us like we were crazy and said they were closed. Update your hours or get new employees that follow the operating hours. read more

If I could put a negative star I would, the service was terrible. The worker with short hair and was dressed head to toe in yellow and red and green stripes had the worst attitude. She dropped labels on the counter and told me to pick them up and put them back on the window. When I asked for a flavor that was clearly available, I was told that they were not selling it at that time with attitude. Hugs is seemingly the only outpost in Mammoth that has jumped on the 'fancy' ice cream flavors. I admit that I didn't try their ice creams-but I tried their sorbets which was a lighter option. During my visit there was a line but honestly it felt like the induced demand that occurs at ice cream shops. There's a limited amount of space and with a larger group of people congregating/sampling/adding toppings etc. the line seems longer than it actually is. For me, since I got the sorbet-the case was pretty open and shut and the wait to service ratio was pretty lopsided. Not to say that the staff there was rude or unfriendly but there's not much to upsell a guy who just wants a light, fruity option versus a choice that options up a decision tree of add-ons. read more

I did not see any no sugar added flavors if you're looking for that but a convenient stop in the village. Parking is a pain if you aren't staying here but if you're stopping for dinner it's too easy! Long lines are worth it! I was a bit skeptical as this is in an extremely touristy part of town, but the ice cream and the price didn't disappoint. Yes, it is pricey, but I feel like I received a really good amount of ice cream for a "small," which I was able to split with two flavors. They have so many flavors and even though they were out of some towards the end of the evening, I was able to get flavors I wanted. Also super appreciated that they were giving samples! They have basic and also more unique flavors and I really enjoyed the creamy consistency of their ice cream.
