My girlfriends and I chose to go here for brunch as they had really reasonable prices on their online menu and a nice ambience. When we walked in we were sat on the patio, which was perfect because it was a beautiful day. We proceeded to order coffee as we were there for breakfast, but they do not have coffee. How do you serve breakfast without coffee? When we looked at our menus the prices were all increased from what was previously shown on their website. Hmmmm.... The waitress then proceeded to take our drink order (Bloody Mary, mimosas and red sangria). The bloody mary is supposed to come with a pepperoni skewer but it never did. The mimosa special is just champagne and if you want juice that's extra. The red sangria however was fantastic. We proceeded to order our entrées, I was surprised they came to the table within a reasonable time as we had to wait awhile to get more cocktails. The food was very good however...even the neighboring customers were eyeing. So all and all, I liked the ambience and I enjoyed the food. However....Who doesn't include juice with champagne? Who doesn't have coffee when serving breakfast? @humblebistro update your menu online...that's false advertising. I would probably give this place another shot but definitely wouldn't go back for brunch. They should consider partnering with the coffee shop down the street. read more

We wanted to get a quick lunch from office and this place is located just around. We went on a Monday and this place was packed. I must give a 5/5 for the vibe, ambiance and the service. This place is super cool for a date, brunch, friends meet up or just casually to hang out. Totally, digging this place. We went straight to entree and their menu is mainly pies, bread, salads and pasta. I wish they had a lunch menu, yes they have a lot on the drinks menu but didn't get a chance to try. I went with Cremini rachetti it's a veggie pasta with mushrooms. The presentation was excellent but the portion is limited. The flavor, taste is really good, loved the fresh take. This was my first time in this area and i loved it , the interior was complimented multiple times by my group! Started with the smorgasboard and the Caesar. The only things i would change would be the hummus, its gives off guacamole which doesn't really match the rest of the flavors. I also loveeee a Caesar and this was a fun spin on it the brussels were addicting. We all agreed it could use more crumb like croutons so that the flavor and crunch isn't lost. I got the bolognese, amazing! My friend got the Mushroom pasta also so good but very rich. We also got a pizza and the cajun Alfredo. I wouldn't get these two again. The alfredo just lacked a cheese flavor but the pesto was a good addition to the dish. The pizza just wasn't stiff enough for my taste. Ended with the cheesecake one of the best i've ever had!! I've been here a lot for brunch and I love the selection of food available. While I tend to lean towards the breakfast sandwich with the French style scrambled eggs, there is enough selection to mix it up. The brunch cocktails are mostly wine based such as sangria and the strange Bloody Mary made with red wine. 10/10 I would come here again in a heartbeat. The apps were yummy. We had cauliflower that had some yummy sauce, fries with 3 sauce options, and meatballs(least fave of the 3). I ordered a Caesar salad which had some jalapeño taste, and Brussels sprouts and came with a 7 minute perfectly salted egg. Really good pies coming out of this joint! One of the best sauces i have had on a pizza. So much flavor but just a bit salty. Crust could have had a bit more char to it but otherwise flavorful and a really nice chew to it. I could taste the sourdough and it was perfect. Not overwhelming. More of an afterthought. The basil placement was awkward. I had to move the basil onto the slice so it wasn't sitting on my crust. Really nice and comfortable atmosphere and everyone was very friendly. Just had an interesting experience at Humble Bistro. we dine out 2-3 time weekly in the Scottsdale area and have been advised by friends that we should try Humble Bistro. Tonight we gave it a try or , at least tried to. We arrived at 5:15 and it was at least half empty so things looked promising, we put our name in for a party of 3 and were advised that it would be 25 minutes; no problem. We then asked if we could wait at the bar until we were seated , which would seemingly be a normal request in any world of the restaurant business. Well, not here. Since they did not have 3 together at the bar we were advised that we must wait in the very small area at the entry for out table . I then asked if the 2 ladies could not just sit at two open seats together with me standing beside them and not in the flow of traffic until our table was ready. The answer was a flat no " we don't do things that way here"' . We are well familiar with fine dining experiences and also places, of this level which is also nice but not fine dining. There was no compromise whatsoever and they had no problem when we announced that since there was actually no other place to wait for out table in a half empty restaurant we would have to go elsewhere. We then went to Ocean Prime and had a wonderful dinner with and seemed to be appreciated as customers. We are blessed with wonderful dining experiences in this valley and have watched them come and go , especially in the High Street area.We will never go back to this place and are spreading the word This experience was totally unnecessary. read more

Had lunch at Humble Bistro yesterday with 4 girlfriends and we were shocked at the noise level. Everyone was talking very loudly over the loud music. We could not hear each other talking. When the music competes with conversation and everyone is talking loudly it isn't a pleasant experience. My group was turned off by this and we didn't even order dessert here. We left ASAP and went over to The White Chocolate Grill just down the street for coffee and a key lime pie and an incredible apple and caramel dessert. It was packed there with tasteful music and much better acoustics, lovely ambiance and no voices competing with music. The food at HB was good not outstanding. We won't be back.....I asked a local store there in City North about HB and they warned me that it was terribly noisy but I thought it would be noisy at dinner not so much at lunch. I should have listened to her. Hopefully this will change as there are many new restaurants opening soon and HB will have to compete with the competition. read more

The only reason I gave one stars is that I have been to this establishment previously and while the food is decent, the service from the hostess and management was not. I came in at 4pm on a Wednesday to meet 5 co-workers for a dinner. They do not take reservations, but when I arrived first to get a table, there was only ONE table occupied that was a high top with about 8 people. I was told they could NOT seat 6 people unless we sat outside (over 105 degrees). I looked at all the open tables and asked why two tables cannot be pushed together along the banquet wall where NO ONE WAS SEATED to accommodate and was denied because "we get really busy on weekdays"! What the actual does that even mean? This establishment turned away the potential for 6 dinners, multiple drinks and a professional group of women just in case it got busy! We did end up at another restaurant on High Street who, wait for it, pushed two tables together! That common customer service act resulted in not only a healthy tip but a bill well over $300 just by doing the right thing. What is wrong with this business model? EVERYTHING! read more

I've gone here for take out and dine in and it's never a disappointment. Inside or outside seating you can't go wrong, they have outdoor lighting and heat lamps if necessary. Good variety in the menu which makes it perfect for our party of 9! We called ahead 1hr before our desired time and they were able to plan ahead and accommodate our family. Very grateful for the staff and our lovely server Alexis! She was so knowledgeable on every part of the menu including the amazing specials. We started with the Humble Brussels which were tasty, the jalapeño cilantro hummus was the best part. I have been to Humble Bistro many times but was disappointed with my visit this week. Although the food was good, the rest of our experience was poor. Firstly, the music was so loud that normal conversation was impossible. Secondly, the misters were not on at the outdoor patio and the flies were very annoying. It's a small place so the wait could be long. When I got there - I was told there would be 2 hour wait at 5pm for our party of 10. When the other hostess came up / she asked if I was (my Daughter's name) and said she called ahead so the wait would be 30 minutes. It was like going to a Vanderpump restaurant / everyone was good looking who works there ( ) I had a veggie cauliflower pizza - delish A couple of the kids and my husband has the Cajun fettuccine and loved it. My Daughter had a salad - said it was delish Daughters boyfriend had a sandwich/ said it was just okay. We have been here three times! Fantastic each time. The drinks were amazing. The forno bread is absolutely delicious and the spicy red sauce with the shrimp is one of my favorite things to eat, Period. Everything on the smorgasboard was excellent and light. Not pictures were the wings. You can mix and match sauces. The wings themselves were cooked perfectly (to my liking) crispy! The crème Brûlée and chocolate mousse were amazing. This place was a 10/10 from start to finish. My friend took me here for a belated birthday dinner on a Monday night. It was SUCH a treat. We ordered a Basil Berry Lemonade to start which was recommended by our lovely waitress. Very crispy and delicious. First up was the roasted Brussels, which was paired on a bed of jalapeño hummus. This was SPECTACULAR! my friend and I took and bite and just stared at each other in awe. Seriously, try them! It's a must! We both ended up with an a meal heating their house made sourdough bread; both being very flavorful and just hit the spot! Needed the night with some churros and vanilla bean ice cream. Came in tonight with my family. When we entered the restaurant the hostess informed us that we would need to be seated outside due to her thinking we had a pet with us. She was incorrect as we had our fully licensed as displayed on his work vest SERVICE animal that displays full credentials. Once she was informed she sat us inside. The problem didn't end there. When we're seated at our table we discovered a business type card left on a plate that informed us of what a service animal is according to behavior of the animal.i have to tell you that unfortunately and fortunately we completely understand what a service animal is. A bit embarrassing is an understatement as we sat and tried to figure out why the policy of this establishment wouldn't be to approach a customer who clearly has a pet that is being misrepresented as a service animal due to behavior. I can assure you that any of the staff that came in contact with us or for that matter worked this evening clearly didn't mistake our Service animal as a pet based on behavior. I think the card should be handed to someone when there is a problem, not prior to the party being sat down. Service was great, food was great, but the placement of a card at my table prior to us being sat was absolutely embarrassing. I'm not sure if this a way for the restaurant to say that fully trained service animals are not welcome or what. Possibly inform the staff what a service animal is before placing a card on a plate at the table? read more

I checked our humble bistro around Happy Hour recently and was a big fan! Loved the decor and open air with the doors/windows open. Plus the food was incredible. I'm obsessed with the brussel spouts.
