    Breakfast sandwich

Nice venue. Convenient to the C1-9 gates. Convenient QR code menu and ordering. Lovely breakfast sandwich with candied bacon, scrambled eggs, cheese and spicy mayo with crispy potatoes on the side. Excellent service by Jennifer. It took a while to be seated, but all good after that.

Another 2hr layover. Another desperate hunt for a halfway decent spot to kill time. Enter Humble Pie. I've been using "traveling" as an excuse to eat garbage, so I decided to reel it in a bit and look for something healthy. Scanned the menu saw lots of temptation, not much in the "virtue" department until I noticed the chicken wings came with carrots and celery. So I asked for just a side of carrots. Simple, right? But they were actually good. Fresh, crisp, and DELICIOUS. I ended up eating plates of them like it was a personal challenge. Then, because moderation deserves a reward, I ordered a skinny margarita. It hit the spot, light, tart, and knocked the edge off for my next flight. All in all, Humble Pie was a solid layover win. Chill spot, good vibe, and they didn't act weird about me basically ordering a mountain of carrots. Would definitely come back for round 2. Major props to Elizabeth for making my carrot dreams come true:)

Eating my pizza on the flight

Waited a bit over 30 minutes for my pizza (Pepperoni), but the pizza itself was actually really good! The dough was fluffy and the cheese reminded me of lunchables pizza (which I absolutely love). I was pushing my boarding time with the wait but glad the pizza came out delicious

Needed to get some food before our flight. Not much in the C terminal. Picked this place. Really busy. We had to wait for a table. The server was nice. We both got pizzas. She got the cheese one and I got the Margarita. Both were just ok. Nothing special but made us full. Airport food...

I ordered and I recieved the wrong order the employee Wich was an African American female was so rude and looked at me rolled her eyes and walked off I asked for no meat she said it's pepperoni not not meat it goes to show she didn't pass the 8th grade in school she had a short mushroom hair style... she really need customer service training....very rude and the attending manager actually didn't want to replace my pizza after meat was placed on it

Carnitas hash, but without the carnitas (as requested) lol

Had an early flight out of Phoenix and my husband wanted to get breakfast before our long flight. Humble Pie was one of the few places open in our terminal, so it was pretty packed. We had to wait a little to get seated, and they weren't letting anyone sit at the bar since it was still breakfast time. Once we finally got a table, we noticed there was only one server handling the whole place. She was really friendly and hustled hard. The breakfast menu was pretty limited. Since I don't eat meat, I went for the carnitas hash but asked for it without the carnitas, so it ended up being just eggs and potatoes. It was okay, but I bet it would've been tastier with the meat. The portion was huge, and I couldn't even finish it. I can't remember what my husband got, but he said he liked his entree.

James the bartender is fast- but you can tell he's done it forever and he's over it. I said hi first. He didn't bring me a water until the second time I asked. He was just efficient and on the slightly quick/short/rude side to all guests. The pizza was barely ok. Marg add mushrooms felt very underwhelming. Mich ultra was obviously fine in a bottle. Maybe the qr code on the bar to order should just be the only method of ordering if the bar team isn't going to be welcoming. I don't think I'll sit at the bar here again- and I travel weekly. I say thank you and he says nothing. He does say sir and ma'am so at least there's manners in the robot. DiBummer. Oh and an update. He's on shift change and made sure to close us all out- which is Normal but like... you could've given better service if you were going to claim the tip. He wasn't happy I asked for a separate ticket for food. Had to get a manager who didn't exist the entire visit. The new bartender is bummed "Sam" left him alone last night with a dirty restaurant fyi. Hope he's enjoying his Starbucks cup behind bar while he's oblivious. Bummmmmer.

Seats! They all looked like this. Who wants your legs scratched up with rough pleather?!

5 stars for service however 3 stars for food. Seats need to be changed out, not a good feeling to fall deep in a wooden hole and scratch your legs on torn up rough pleather. The floors were extremely slippery so be careful.

Pork carnitas & eggs (with home fries w/variety of potatoes)
    Sam H.

Headed out for some business meetings and decided to grab a bite to eat for breakfast. I ordered their pork carnitas & eggs, that is served on top of home fries with various potatoes. The waitress to served me was very friendly, quick and professional. Everything was prepared/served quickly and tasted good. If you are lucky enough to have your departing gate in this area and you are hungry, check them out. The do offer their pizzas for breakfast too. It's about a medium size location with a good amount of bar seating, along with table tops & counter style seating.

    Margarita Pizza
    Stacy M.

Overall, pizza is pretty good - especially for airport food. Service was friendly and the to go pizza came out within 16 minutes and was steaming hot. Price was $19.01 for a personal margarita pizza only, not terrible for airport food (but still high way robbery like all airport food prices). I could have split the personal size pizza with another person but not likely doable for a hungry grown man. I will say, the pizza had a lot of cheese - too much for my liking but was easy to pick some off. I can't speak to the ambiance as I took mine to go and didn't eat in the restaurant.

Great place located next to Pei Wei and across from Gate 21. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was freshly prepared and served promptly. Customers were friendly too! It did not disappoint! Thank you!

Not bad for airport food, lots of TV's /big plus, and full bar. We both got chicken sandwich, chicken very tender and bread was a lil different but good! Side salad very good! Ordered a cocktail (gin and tonic) 19.00 ouch!

I need to call them for a copy of a receipt. Do they have a phone number? I can't find one anywhere!

I cant find it either, maybe try calling one of their other locations (Chandler restaurant is not far from the airport one- 480.307.9412) and they might have it? I do see a Customer Care # at the bottom of receipts too you could try 877-325-8777

The chicken tenders were fire!!! What is lacking on this occasion was service. The server that we had was so unattentative. I have never been in a cocktail lounge in my life and had to beg for drinks. Our server would wait until every drinks was made for all of her tables before bringing out drinks. It was ridiculous. She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The music, the atmosphere and the food was good. They gotta get these cocktails together and service. We ended up walking to nearby competitors and that was money lost for DDG.

The most recent was…read moreon a Thursday night around 10:30 p.m. This speakeasy is located on Mill Ave., the center of Tempe's party scene. Because of its location, parking isn't easy. If you're looking for free parking, you're going to have a long walk. Outside of that, you'll have to pay for parking in a garage or metered street parking. Ambiance (4/5): Hint hint. Idle Hands is located inside Devil's Hideaway. A true speakeasy shouldn't have signage outside indicating its location. Unfortunately, there's a sign for Idle Hands outside of Devil's Hideaway which takes away the sense of mystery and intrigue that a true speakeasy provides. Outside of this hiccup, it's a cool speakeasy. It's intimate, with 10 or so seats at the bar and about 10 seats in booths facing the bar. There's a projector screen behind the bar that had mystical motion graphics the first time I stopped by (thinking wizards) and Halloween motion graphics the second time (with it being a day before the holiday). There were some other Halloween decorations up. The only area of improvement? The music often doesn't match the vibe. A lot of the music they were playing on my last visit was Irish music that would be fitting for a pub. Service (4/5): I had the same bartender each time. He knows how to make a good drink and is pretty efficient. When you close out, he only gives you the merchant copy. Which is a pet peeve of mine. Let me get that customer copy too. But overall, a good experience. Especially at a college bar. Food (N/A): I've only had drinks both times. Idle Hands actually doesn't have food, but Devil's Hideaway does. And you're allowed to bring food from there into the speakeasy. Drinks (4.5/5): It's pretty surprising to see a speakeasy on a college campus. I was impressed with the creativity of the menu, both in terms of the ingredients used and the fusion of flavors. I've had a different cocktail each time, and they've all been great. My favorite was one served in a box filled with smoke. Talk about a cool presentation! The hallmarks of a solid speakeasy are elevated cocktails, nice ambiance (dimly lit), an intimate space, and mystery/intrigue. While the intrigue is lacking at Idle Hands, and the music can be improved, they hit it out of the park in the other areas. One of my favorite speakeasies I've been to in Phoenix (and surrounding areas). I am, after all, the self-appointed king of speakeasies. The king gives his stamp of approval.

I asked the waitress about the chicken and she advised that they are smoked and will appear pink from that, so not to be alarmed, but are moist and really flavorful. While the filet was tempting (and what everyone else at my table ordered), I wanted something lighter. Thankfully I was not disappointed in my selection. The chicken was as delicious as described and could be cut with a fork. The Caesar salad was well dressed, but not soggy. Do I think it was worth the money to add the chicken? The lemon flavor throughout the orzo was bright, fresh, and flavorful without being overpowering, and the tomatoes were the PERFECT addition because they balanced everything so well and added a little sweetness and freshness to the dish. I received five very small slices of apple, and when the plate was set down the waitress said she'd get more if needed. I later noticed I was charged $2 for an additional five slices, which together didn't even amount to half an apple. Ironically, the bread that comes with the dish would have been far more substantial. The burrata was fine, but nothing memorable. My friend ordered the chicken and brussels sprouts and didn't even finish it before having the plate taken away. To start, the menu is a bit puzzling. It's kind of like a handful of Asian-inspired dishes, a handful of Mexican/South American, and a handful of French or New American. But there's not enough of each to chart a course through one type of cuisine. So, basically you're gonna have a cultural melange meal. Hamachi crudo was really good and fairly unique. The halibut was excellently prepared but not particularly innovative in any way I could tell. Zucchini had goat cheese, which wasn't immediately clear from the description, so I didn't enjoy the rude surprise I got when I took my first bite, and didn't eat anymore, as I really despise the stuff. So that was a waste. Not a dig on the dish, just a personal thing I wish I had more notice of. There were other issues though. The wine list was exceptionally small, They were out of the bread, which is supposedly a must-try. And then we were going to get the steak but the folks next to us advised against it, showing their cut that had zero fat. They said it was leather. On that point, the tables are SUPER CLOSE. Like, a couple inches apart. You hear everything and almost can't avoid getting entwined into others' conversation. We liked the people we were next to, but be aware that it's an unintentionally awkward communal experience that's not well-suited to a date night. The service was pretty good, they put out a nice printed greeting with the reservation name, and give you a sparkling wine toast. But considering the price and overall experience we had, I'd pass and not come back.
