    Hummus w/ Meat (beef)
    Kate K.

The food here is consistently tasty, and the servers are also respectful and great! I always order the hummus with meat, and the meat is never dry and is always yummm. It's a lot of hummus though, so if you capitalized on the complimentary bread at the beginning, you may be looking at a to-go box situation for a nice hummus lunch the next day! If it's a hot day, it might be a lil tough depending on your body temp and where you're seated because the ac doesn't reach every part of the space!

We revisited Hummus Elite after craving the Falafel Sandwiches again. What a bundle of deliciousness! Loaded with veggies, tahini, and more, it's packaged nicely and neatly in a pita. What better vessel to get all that in your mouth ASAP! It's been so long since we were inside and it was nice to dine in again. Our server was great and even though the area was a little tight, I thought it only added to the overall homeyness! Great, now I'm thinking about that Falafel Sandwich again...

Not my cup of hummus. The place is nice. It has Israeli music playing in the background and good crowd. Service was sub par, food was ok and prices were too high for what it was. I am gluten free so I was trying to substitute the pita in one of the dishes for something else. They were going to charge me $9 to remove pitta and add some fries to a $16 dish. I asked for the lunch special with was $2 more with French fries. I got an attitude. They brought the lunch special and forgot the drink that was supposed to come with it. The waitress seemed like she didn't care about anything, didn't want to be bothered ans was too distracted to get orders right or try to understand what I was asking for... and it's wasn't even that busy... There was a man there, maybe the owner, who was hanging out and waiting for people to leave so he can remove stuff from table. That's all he was doing. The food wasn't great. I was hungry and not impressed. Will not go back. It's a cute place with potential. Wish they did better on pricing, service and food.

    Peanuts butter mousse jar

The food was so so good. The pita was warm and the mushroom hummus was delicious. I had leftover hummus and ordered 4 more pitas. The beet & apple salad was beautifully presented and quite tasty. Water was served with a slice of lemon in tumblers which was perfect for a hot sunny day. The peanut butter and chocolate mousse jars were delicious. If it wouldn't be frowned upon I would have licked the jar cleaning. The service was spectacular as well. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely plan on coming back to try more of their tasty food!

Another smaller mediterranean restaurant in this area. Food was delicious but nothing new or outstanding compared to other mediterranean spots. Hummus was definitely the star dish which comes with 2 fluffy pita breads per platter. Table of 6 shared 2 hummus platters with some left over! I would say price wise is comparable or maybe even better than others. Entree portions were generous and sharable if you aren't a huge eater. Service was sparse but friendly and attentive. Note that the bill comes with tip already calculated into the total which wasn't an issue for us. The server made sure to let us know before we paid.

This place is okay, not bad but not amazing. I came here with my boyfriend and his sister for lunch on a Sunday around 1PM. The place was was relatively crowded, but we were able to get seated without a reservation. This place is kosher and all BYOB must also be kosher, which I thought was very thoughtful of them to put on the menu. We ordered two sandwiches (one beef and one chicken I think) along with the falafel platter. The falafel platter is basically a deconstructed falafel sandwich! The pita was okay, it didn't taste fresh but it wasn't bad. I really liked the tahini sauce that the falafel came with though! and dipping it with the Pita was really good. The falafel had a really good texture and did taste like it was made in-house. However, the falafel was REALLY salty. It's flavored super well but just... too salty. After my meal I felt terrible in terms of how much sodium I had ingested and spent the rest of my day feeling groggy. I tried my boyfriend's sandwich and felt similar thoughts that I did with the platter. Otherwise, the iranian salad that came with the platter was refreshing, although it may have also been salty too or just a lot of onions - my tastebuds have a hard time deciphering the two for some reason (oops). Again, i thought the flavors here were really good and they have a lot more options/ dishes at different price points than the nearby mediterranean place. I'd be open to giving this place another try but I really just felt an overwhelming amount of saltiness in the food I ate here.

Wow!! Small little place. Was in ENGLEWOOD and was told to check this place out. Glad we did. Everything was delicious. We started with Humnus with mushrooms which was outstanding. Came with fresh pita .They started us off with complementary bread and hummus with Amba. Amba is a peach sauce. Was outstanding. I went with a chicken Schwarma in a Laffa I highly recommended this restaurant

    Skakshuka

Stopped in to grab late lunch after a meeting in the area. The place was quiet, ordered the Shakshuka platter with a side of roasted beets. The serving was large and the food was excellent. Had unsweetened ice tea with it that was great with mint and lemon in it. Staff was friendly and would definitely stop in again.

We had to ask twice for our rice we ordered for entrees to be brought out because our server forgot. Fine, that happens. But what really threw me off was when I questioned if the mold in my cheese was normal, the server assured me it was naturally occurring for the flavor. I felt gaslit because I have never had Parmesan with such questionable green growth on it for consumption in any restaurant in my entire life. The server said if it bothered me, he'd bring out fresh shavings with no mold. I have left pictures so you can be the judge of this. Aside from my minor issue with the cheese, the ambiance of the restaurant was nice and there's plenty of choices for meat and non-meat eaters alike

We got a table right away. The menu had a variety of dishes like appetizers, soups, gyro, kebabs, pasta, pizzas, seafood, wraps and sandwiches. In drinks section, they had the Turkish coffee and tea. We started with their complementary bread, so fluffy and light, we pretty ate the whole thing before any of our dishes came. I ordered my favorite fried liver cubes from the hot apps section, and it was fantastic. It was full of flavor, perfectly sized cubes and properly fried. Tasted so good with the complimentary bread (we requested a second one). For entree we ordered the Mix Grill and Karisik Izgara as it was a perfectly sharable dish for two and we got to try 5 of their kebabs that are lamb shish, ground lamb, chicken shish, ground chicken and grilled meat patties. Both ground kebabs were excellent, full of flavors. The shish and patties were also good. We got the margarita pizza too, but that one was disappointed, seemed like some sauce was just thrown on top of the cheese and wasn't baked long enough. Our server was really friendly. She always stayed on top of things. Our dishes came out in quick time, it was impressive. Despite the shortcoming of the pizza, which is not usually a Turkish dish, I was thoroughly impressed by the actually Turkish dishes, like liver cubes and kebabs. I'll for sure visit them again whenever I feel like having kebabs next time

The menu is simple, but covers everything we love. Server came by with warm, fresh, fluffy seasoned pita and a dish of seasoned olive oil. Great start. Started with Cheese Borek and Fried Liver cubes -- The Borek was the best we have had and we order that anytime we dine Mediterrean. The 4 Borek were fat, fried to perfection, and their filling of Feta and spinach was hot, melty and super tasty. We love love Fried Liver, and Lulu does it to perfection. The portion was huge, and dressed with red onion and lemon juice, it sang. We decided to split an order of Manti, those delightful tiny lamb dumplings tossed with burnt butter and garlic yogurt -- holy holy. We ran some liver around that sauce, and were glad we saved some of the bread to sop everything up. So good. Ordered the Kunefe, as we always do. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the table -- so if you are thinking about it, order it before they take your dinner plates away. The Kunefe was good. We think they forgot to add to the syrup it comes in -- but maybe that's the way they do it. It won't disappoint, but I missed that rosewater sugar syrup we are used to. Different places, different recipes. In all, Lulu did not disappoint and we look forward to visiting again. Go, go go. And tip your servers well.

So, when he recently suggested driving a good deal out of the way in order to sample their food for a takeout dinner, I still agreed. As he drove, I called to place our order for a large family gathering, and the woman on the phone did not miss a beat. She captured all of our requested items and customizations, ensuring that our meal arrived as expected. I should note that Zula required pre-payment for large orders to make sure that the food was collected. Agreeing to the lengthy excursion was not without its challenges, namely having to drive back with the heavenly food smells tantalizing us throughout the entire journey. When we arrived back at the house, other folks were still chatting, but I tore into the bag and tried to hand out the meals as quickly as I could in order to then indulge myself. My Chicken Breast Platter included the choice of two side dishes, one pita, and a small cup of tahini. In terms of the poultry, the two breasts were on the smaller size, but were lean, thinly-sliced, well-grilled, and flavorful. For the first side dish, I had the Israeli Salad, which was fresh, bright, and, thankfully, not too oniony. Secondly, the Moroccan carrots were a bit oily, but offered a nice heat and spice level. The fluffy pita was soft, gooey, and melt in your mouth tasty. In terms of the tahini, I opted for the standard variety, rather than the tahini amba with pickled mango. The traditional version was rich, thick, and acted as a great topping for the chicken and the pita. Lastly, I shared some of the large quart of Hummus, which was creamy, well-seasoned, and simply delicious. In fact, someone at the table thought it might have even been the best they had ever had, and I agree that it was certainly close! The menu length reminds me a bit of a diner menu in comparison to the usual Greek menu. There are pitas/gyros, platters, entrees, apps, salads and soups. There are also a few things on the menu that don't belong on a Greek menu: burger, quesadillas, and chicken francese; I'm not sure what to think about this but it would be something picky eaters could have! I enjoyed the spanakopita platter with fries and grilled veggies (spanakopita didn't have a strong taste, grilled veggies of zucchini, carrots, onions were soft and perhaps slightly overcooked but good). The shrimp souvlaki platter with mashed potatoes and rice was also tasty. Most platters come with two sides. They also give you complimentary hummus with pita bread. Service was nice and not pushy. The decor is pretty casual with some Greek art and knick knacks around, along with plenty of pictures of the chef. Their website isn't that great and seems more catered to to-go orders. It's located on a street with a few other places like a pizza spot but there are also a lot of empty storefronts. Street and metered parking before 8 pm. Given its location, not sure I'd be back anytime soon but I recommend!
