We tried Hummus Republic in the Bay Area and loved it. When we found out we were getting one in Stockton, we were stoked! I followed very closely and interacted with Jay and his family all the way to opening day! Jay and his team did a great job of welcoming customers and were knowledgeable about the menu! The best part: fresh ingredients! The sauces are DELICIOUS! The Falafel is my new fav food!! So, tasty and crunchy sweet potato fries! Oh, and the Tumeric/Ginger Lemonade *chefs kiss* OUTSTANDING!!! Hummus Republic - HR Bowls & sweet potato - Mediterranean Near Me - Stockton, California

The bowl is huge. I could not finish. I'm usually picky about my hummus but I tried original, olive, and harissa which were all excellent. I originally had mistakenly ordered a hummus with cilantro in it and they offered to remake the bowl for me. A couple of the sauces had cilantro as well, but they have a bunch to choose from. A nice build-your-own / Chipotle-style experience that I really enjoyed. Wish there was one in Folsom/EDH. Will be back! read more

Well, there is no doubt that this place deserves more than 5 stars for the food, ambiance, and customer service or should I say service excellence!!!! Loved it here! It was my first time going and I really wanted to try it as I'm always looking for halal options. Better than chipotle in my opinion. They give very generous amounts of food. Our first time there the staff was very welcoming and allowed us to try the different hummus flavors. The store was very clean and the food was delish. They explained the process to be similar to chipotle or subway where you walk and tell the staff what you would like in your bowl or on your item. I had been looking forward to trying this place since before it opened, since there aren't many healthy options when we stay on our boat at the marina down the road. So about 5 pm on a Saturday, we headed out to get our food. The hubby wanted chinese from next door, so we parted ways to get our respective meals. When I entered, the place looked clean. There was one couple dining in, another person, who appeared extremely bored was sitting, waiting for an order, and two delivery drivers were waiting near the register. Being new to the place, I grabbed a menu to speck out my options, and stood near the counter, waiting to be acknowledged. The two young men behind the counter looked to be filling orders. Several minutes went by, and I continued to wait patiently. Not a single acknowledgement - no eye contact, no "We'll be with you shortly! ", nada. I shifted around slightly, because I wondered if I was standing close enough. Perhaps I wasn't standing in the right place to start an order? Did they notice me? Then, a young woman walked in, and started to inquire about a call-in order, and one of the fellows stopped what he was doing to help her. At this point, I was getting annoyed because I still wasn't acknowledged. I get it when someone walks in and demands attention, as this young woman did, however it was an opportunity for the worker to say SOMETHING to keep me in there. So when my husband walked in with his food from next door, and asked me how it was going, I was actually kind of ticked. I wasn't going to make my husband wait, and have his food get cold, while I wait to be served by people who can't even say hello. I put the menu back, walked out, and got chinese food next door. I am a very patient person, when it comes to waiting in line, however there wasn't technically a line. I was the only living, breathing person who was there to place an order. I would hate to see the place when there is actually a line of people wanting to order food. It seems to me there is priority over call-ins/delivery orders. That's fine, but at least don't act like your in-person customers are invisible. There was a really good sandwich shop in town that I used to frequent, and they also would get busy with online orders, but their counter workers were friendly, so I didn't mind waiting. At least I knew I would eventually be served. I really wish I could give a review of the food, however the customer service was so poor, that I doubt I will step foot in there again. read more

LAWRENCE from the Stockton branch is a top tier employee!! His knowledge of the menu was impressive! His customer service was the best I've ever experienced! His presence was polite and relaxed and provided a calm ambiance perfect after a day of chaotic Christmas shopping! Despite multiple orders both in person and online, he made us all feel welcome and appreciated. And he was all by himself handling everything perfectly and politely! I've been a CAVA repeat customer for years but we've never had a fast casual Mediterranean place in Stockton like it. This place has HUGE portion sizes so don't be scared off by the prices.
