Not at all what I expected. I made reservations for a party of 14 and when I arrived the host looked surprised nonetheless we waiting about 10 min and seating was arranged. The drinks were too weak and the food was semi warm. I totally understand that it was a large party but there was a lot of mixups with our order. After reading good reviews I decided to try this neighborhood spot. Given the name I went with the burrito and so did my friend. We didn't see an option to add guac to it but when we did it was an additional $4 which is very pricey as a burrito add on. This would've been forgivable had there been some meat on these burritos. Me and my friend looked at each other and thought they gave us vegetarian burritos! Hardly any meat and all rice. Unfortunately I won't be returning, too many other Mexican places in the area to be so mediocre. read more

Decided to check this place out for lunch and so happy we did. Portions are generous and prices are excellent. They have happy hour on weekdays from 1-7 (variety of drinks for $5!) I had the sangria and it was delightful. Service was friendly and prompt, which isn't always easy to come by in the neighborhood. I went to hungry burrito on a weeknight with my family and 4 year old son. They were very friendly and accommodated us well. However, I did notice that they didn't offer a drink menu and had to tell us what drinks they had and the prices. Overall, the food was great, but I do think their drinks were overpriced and it would have been good to have a drink menu with prices. I also did find that they were very clean. read more

For starters, I recommend this place 100%. I've tried several mexican resturants in the ridgewood area. I ordered the steak quesadilla, chicken nachos, hungry burger, and the steak sopecitos from Hungry Burrito through grubhub. I will definitely be ordering again. Also! I was half asleep, I gave the man who delivered the money for the order as well as a tip running on 2hours of sleep... anyway! He called to let someone know to call me. Every time I've ordered from this place (this being my third time) the quality of food I'm receiving has been worse than the time before. The messiest thing I've ever been served. Like on what world is this acceptable for a quesadilla?!! You have no problem taking my money so I expect you to have no problem delivering and preparing food I can eat. Wish I could rate ZERO! I ordered online and when I went (25 min later) to pick up my food, staff acted as if they didn't even realized I'd ordered something. Then ~10min later, an obviously rushed order comes out of the kitchen. I ordered a mushroom quesadilla with avocado (+$2) and jalapeno (+$1) added. When I got home to finally eat, I realized they'd simply placed a halved avocado - store barcode sticker still on it! - haphazardly wrapped in a foil ball in the bag. Not sliced or anything. Just cut in half and tossed in the bag. Why wouldn't the avocado be IN the quesadilla with the other ingredients?? For $2 dollars I could have gotten a WHOLE avocado or two from the bodega across the street. read more

I love love this place. Starting with happy hour everyday from 4-8 and on weekends 4-7. They're sangria is delicious. As well as the food. I have yet to be disappointed in anything I tried so far. Im a plain Jane so I've tried most of the chicken dishes. All five star. My fave is the kale Caesar salad with the chipotle Caesar dressing and chicken.
